RACE ONE

Placed in four starts for the season COPPERFIELD (3) eased from gate 6 last start to settle back in the pack over the mile. When asked for the effort he let down in nice order and was strong to the line to be just a head in arrears of the winner. Finding the running line cheaply can see him arrive.

IM JIMMY JAMES (9) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run as GIVE ME A MINUTE was setting the speed in front. Searching for a gap he was hitting the line in good fashion to be just 4m from the winner. Scoring victory in both starts prior, he can challenge.

FRANCO MACHO (1) arrives from NZ and brings a handy record that shows 3 wins in 8 starts. A winner four starts back in the South Island, he put up a tidy local trial and from the gate stays under watch.

MISTERY ROAD (4) eased to find the poles last start over the 2138m trip and from deep in the pack was making some metres late behind GOVE ME A MINUTE in a qualifier. Back to the front line helps.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (3), IM JIMMY JAMES (9), FRANCO MACHO (1), MISTERY ROAD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (3) to win

RACE TWO

ONE BIG SHEW (1) arrives with the travelling Rickie Alchin team, bringing successive 2nd placings over the Menangle mile. Starting from gate 9 last time, he was sent forward to take control and was fighting hard to finish 3m from the winner. From the gate he can look to dictate.

ISOLATION (5) retreated from gate 6 over the sprint trip here two starts back before making some nice metres to close out within 6m of the winner. Sent to sit parked last start at Redcliffe, he was able to graft out a smart win in some tidy closing fractions and can make another challenge here.

MACH BRILLIANCE (7) eased from this same gate last time and from back in the pack always had the task ahead as the tempo was strong from the front. Strong to the line for 3rd two runs back, she is in the mix.

STOKER ACE (8) lands the inside second line for the third consecutive outing where the past two have netted a victory and a close 2nd. Following the speed, he can be ready to strike.

SELECTIONS: ONE BIG SHEW (1), ISOLATION (5), MACH BRILLIANCE (7), STOKER ACE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE BIG SHEW (1) to win

RACE THREE

He will be requiring a slice of luck to fall in his favour but an economical trip for ILLBEWATCHING (8) will have him coiled and ready to issue a closing challenge. 4m from DELIGHTFUL LOU last start from the pocket trail, he was picking a few of late from back in the pack for 3rd the start prior and will be probing for the gaps here.

CATSEYE BEACH (4) was strong first up when returning from a spell when sent forward from the second line to sit parked and fighting hard for the silver. Franking that effort second up when powering home over the top from the 1x1 trail, he can look to repeat the effort.

SHEREACTS (1) can hustle through from this alley to protect the poles early and will have the available options. Just 4m in arrears last start from three back the inside, she can make a play.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (6) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when making a closing raid to be within 2m of GIRL FROM OZ in the 4YO APG Final. Despite the wide gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (8), CATSEYE BEACH (4), SHEREACTS (1), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-8

RACE FOUR

In great touch this season that has included four Saturday night FFA wins, TURN IT UP (7) profiles ideally to add another win to the card. With a brilliant record from the standing start that shows 6 wins from 7 attempts, he can be safely away and power home to the prize.

COLT THIRTY ONE (9) made his Qld return when tackling the tapes over 2613m at Redcliffe last start from a 10m impost. Settling 3 back, when angled wider off the back, he loomed up, put the leader away and claimed a 6m margin. Yet to miss the money from the stand, he can challenge again.

TOMMY LINCOLN (4) tried to take them all the way last start and led them into the stretch, only to be gunned down up the lane by TURN IT UP. With limited form from the stand start, he can feature.

DEUS EX (6) fought them off after finding the front and dictating three starts back but has been down the line in both runs since. With a handy record from the tapes, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (7), COLT THIRTY ONE (9), TOMMY LINCOLN (4), DEUS EX (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (7) to win

RACE FIVE

It has been a while between drinks for CANT REFUSE (9) as he moves closer to a drought breaker. Placed at his past three in succession, the latest on Saturday when grabbing 3rd behind the dictating UNCLE SHANK. Just a half-head away two starts back, with the right trip he can capitalise.

MAJORDOIT (3) settled in the 1x1 trail last time as FOUR STARZZZ FORSA set the speed in front and was making a late raid to be within 2m of the winner. Forced to retreat to the rear the start prior and never getting warm in the closing stages, he can be close to the action to make a challenge.

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) was sent to sit parked last start from gate 5 and after the tough trip faded to the rear of the field. Runner-up the start prior when beaten a lip over this trip, he will be fighting.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (7) eased back from the centre of the line here on Saturday night and if he had open space sooner, could have finished closer than the 8m margin after rattling home.

SELECTIONS: CANT REFUSE (9), MAJORDOIT (3), FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1), MAFUTA VAUTIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CANT REFUSE (9) to win

RACE SIX

This looks an open battle where last start runner-up OUR FRIEND (2) should appreciate a return to the mile. Tackling the 2138m last start when 5m in arrears of the winner, it has been over 12 months since his last victory, but finds the right conditions to get forward to capitalise.

FEELS LIKA BOSS (8) was sent to the post as favourite last start from gate 1 at Redcliffe where he took control in the early stages but was unable to see it out when collared in the closing stages by HEARTBREAK. An all the way winner the start prior from gat 3 at Penrith, he will be searching for gaps.

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (3) was runner-up in a Trot Rods heat two starts back and then last start from gate 2 had no interest in settling forward over the 2138m when eased. Settling handy will help.

LANCELOT BROMAC (4) was hemmed away on the fence last start and was making some ground in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner when midfield. A return to the mile will help his hopes.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (2), FEELS LIKA BOSS (8), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (3), LANCELOT BROMAC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR FRIEND (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

CARNERA (10)
did some early work last start when rolling forward from gate 4 to secure position before fading over the latter stages. On the three-day back-up into that battle, it had followed a down the line effort after an early error. In an open contest he can defy the gate.

VALLEY ESS JAY (5) fired off the arm from gate 5 last start at Redcliffe where he was able to walk the field in a pedestrian opening half. That left him with plenty left for the closing stages where he pulled clear for a 9m margin. With early speed he can again throw down the challenge.

JACCKA WATCH (8) keeps knocking on the door of victory but can’t seem to find a way through, making it five in succession as the runner-up last start. Likely buried here, he will be probing.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (1) started from a 20m impost last start where she was positioned three back on the poles in the run when grabbing 3rd. Back to mobile conditions is in her favour.

SELECTIONS: CARNERA (10), VALLEY ESS JAY (5), JACCKA WATCH (8), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Making his debut when slammed with gate 7, GOTTA GO TORQUE (3) was taken back in the early stages to secure position. Wide off the track when trying to make a closing play, it was a tidy first up effort and followed a smart qualifying trial. The improved gate and experience will help.

GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (5) has placed in both starts to date, the latest when asked to do it the tough way when parked and still giving to the wire when just 1m from the winner THE GROGMOTHER. Runner-up on debut to WATERLINE, the gate is tricky, but she is up to it.

TORQUE LIKE MOTION (2) faced gate 5 on debut where she eased into the running line and was making some nice closing metres when just 4m from the winner. With added experience she can feature.

CRADOCK (4) was beaten by gate 7 last start when snagging back to the rear in the Changeover Classic and unable to get warm in the closing stages. Settling closer he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA GO TORQUE (3), GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (5), TORQUE LIKE MOTION (2), CRADOCK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA GO TORQUE (3) to win

RACE NINE

Runner-up in both runs since resuming from a spell, WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (8) looks to get his chance for the breakthrough. Pressing to the front from the second line when resuming, he was collared late and then last start was asked to grind it out when parked. The lone second line options appeal.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4) backs up from Saturday night where she held on for the silver behind the smart BANGKOK DEEJAY after firing out from gate 4 to find the front. 3rd in a Trot Rods Heat two starts back, she as beaten a half-head three back and from this gate will fire early bullets.

MISTER REACTOR (5) was not that far from the winner last start after receiving the 1x1 trail and boxing on in the closing stages. Runner-up in both starts prior, he can be chiming in here.

SOHO CASABLANCA (6) could not go with them in the closing stages last start as TEDDY DISCO powered up in front through a slick last panel. Despite a sticky gate he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (8), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4), MISTER REACTOR (5), SOHO CASABLANCA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (8) to win

RACE TEN

Starting in red figures last start from the second line under mobile conditions, MAJESTIC HARRY (10) was sent to sit parked and after the tough trip was unable to go on with it in the closing stages. Stepping cleanly to take them all the way two starts back, the tempo looks right for him to arrive.

GUNNER (6) returns to Qld, this time under the care of visiting trainer Howard James and brings some smart form since resuming from a spell. Just 1m from the winner three starts back when first up, he has cashed in at his past two at Menangle in smart fashion. He can throw down the challenge.

JANSSON (7) showed his customary speed when the tapes flew last start and was soon in front from the 10m tape before taking the trail and then claiming the win up the passing lane. He is never far away.

RILEY MOMENT (4) was a winner two starts back when stepping cleanly and controlling it from the front. A tough 3rd last start when sitting parked, she can be forward to feature again in an open affair.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC HARRY (10), GUNNER (6), JANSSON (7), RILEY MOMENT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC HARRY (10) to win
