RACE ONE Featuring in a stable switch to join the Melissa Gillies barn, THE EMULATOR (1) has been wayward in recent attempts after a solid first up effort when stepping cleanly, leading and trotting throughout for 2nd on debut. Banished to the trials after her last start, she has earned the return to loom large. YSMIR (4) was safely away to find the pocket trail here two starts back and with the good trip in behind the speed, angled wider and trotted cleanly to the wire to claim a 7m maiden breaking victory. Chasing for the bronze last start from the 10m, she finds conditions to challenge. UWOHALI (3) was the best of the chasers last start when grabbing the silver behind HOLD MY HAT DOUG after using the passing lane. Showing manners to lead here four starts back, she has claims.
SELECTIONS: THE EMULATOR (1), YSMIR (4), UWOHALI (3) SUGGESTED BET: THE EMULATOR (1) to win
RACE TWO Given a freshen after a breakout Constellations Carnival, GLOBAL FLIGHT (6) looks to get into this contest nicely from the 10m tape. Claiming the G1 DJA Final in a dominant front-running performance three starts back, he was then luckless in the G2 Trotters Sprint. He can strike fresh. IM THE COMMANDO (3) has been thereabouts in recent attempts, the latest when showing clean feet early from the 20m tape to be in front. Leading them deep into the stretch, he was just a neck in arrears of the winner and from the front tape, if he can find the front, he will give plenty of cheek. RILEY MOMENT (1) threw her chances away last start with a costly error as she then chased in vain behind RIGONDEAUX. 8m in arrears of KAR MANOR the start prior, the inside lane off the front is a big help. RIGONDEAUX (4) has been more tractable recently, after his manners had proven costly in several outings. Charging over the top here last start from 20m, a return to the front looks favourable.
SELECTIONS: GLOBAL FLIGHT (6), IM THE COMMANDO (3), RILEY MOMENT (1), RIGONDEAUX (4) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE After a pair of impressive second placed returns, KENNY KEKO (9) was able to go one better here last week when put into the contest to sit parked for a period and fighting them off to take a 4m margin. She goes back a further 10m here, but with added fitness, she can overcome the impost to repeat. JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) has been at her most consistent for some time, hitting the board in 5 of her past 7 appearances. 3rd here five starts back when obliged to work hard in the run, she franked the effort with victory at her next attempt. 3rd at her past two, the front tape helps. BOURBONONTHEROCKS (8) settled against the poles last start from this same handicap and was strong to the line for 3rd when 5m from the winner KENNY KEKO. Placed in 5 of 8 this term, she can join in. SONETTO (3) overturned a 12-month winless streak here two starts back when stepping cleanly and from the front was able to dictate the tempo to score. Making a starting error last start, if she steps cleanly, she can feature. SELECTIONS: KENNY KEKO (9), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (8), SONETTO (3) SUGGESTED BET: KENNY KEKO (9) to win
RACE FOUR This is a mixed contest with a number of 2YOs lining up against the older opponents. Sent to eh post as the favourite here last week, CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7) was required to work hard early, out three-wide through the first 550m until pressing on to take control. Fading late to be 7m in arrears, he can search for redemption. EMPRESS BYELINE (1) is a 2YO filly that has placed at her past two outings since resuming from a spell. A smart 2nd first up from gate 6, she was then able to grab the bronze in the Triad Final when chasing the superstar JEWEL MELODY. From the good gate she gets her chance to challenge. SIGNOR JUJON (3) has had two runs back from a spell so should be further tightened from his latest appearance when beaten by the second line over the Redcliffe 1780m. He can get forward to feature. HEARTBREAK (8) was the only runner out of the pack to eat into the deficit as AYE AYE CAPTAIN took them all the way, grabbing a smart 2nd from gate 6. She can be joining in off a soft trip here. SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7), EMPRESS BYELINE (1), SIGNOR JUJON (3), HEARTBREAK (8) SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7) to win
RACE FIVE Placed in 3 of 6 appearances as she chases the maiden breaking victory, MISS FROUFROU (9) has clashed with some handy 2YOs at every start she has contested. Down the line behind HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN at her last start back in May, she was sent for a break and has opened the pipes in fine style in readiness for the return, with a return to maiden company a huge boost. DONT FEAR FOR ME (2) started from gate 6 on debut last time out where he was easy in the market after opening at the top of the boards. Fading after a tough trip when forced to sit parked, he had trialled soundly and with the improved gate can look to return a sharper performance here. WANDARY DELIGHT (6) settled in the running line last start from gate 3 and chased for the bronze as GEIRANGER RAINBOWS led throughout. The wide gate dents her chances somewhat for this. SAINT LOUIS BEAT (8) will be needing some luck on his side at some stage from this alley as he searches for the gaps. Placed at his past two, the latest a tough 2nd when parked, he will be probing. SELECTIONS: MISS FROUFROU (9), DONT FEAR FOR ME (2), WANDARY DELIGHT (6), SAINT LOUIS BEAT (8) SUGGESTED BET: MISS FROUFROU (9) to win
RACE SIX Lining up here in search of a hat-trick of victories, TARGARYEN (3) can settle forward from this alley to chase it down. Settled in the running line last start in a 70Final, he owned superior closing speed to loom up and cruise by to take a 7m margin in a sub 52 mile. Developing versatility, he has the class to secure the threepeat. HE SAID SHE SAID (1) is at his best when able to find the poles and from this alley, should secure the ideal trip to match the preferred pattern. Pressing on from gate 4 last time, he found space to ease behind the leader and was best of the chasers behind SLICK SOPHIE. He can stalk the speed. TEDDY FEELS GOOD (8) made the most of the good alley last time out over the 2138m trip, burrowing through to hold them wide. Releasing at the 1000m as LEP TO FAME put them away. He looks a podium hope here. ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7) made a starting error last time that sees him banished to the outside gate. Strong to the line two starts back chasing BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS, he can be joining in off a tempo. SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (3), HE SAID SHE SAID (1), TEDDY FEELS GOOD (8), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7) SUGGESTED BET: TARGARYEN (3) to win
RACE SEVEN Winless since his 2YO season BETTORS HOPE (2) arrived in Qld to join Ron Sallis after a midfield return at Menangle in mid-August. First up here last week from gate 5, he was eased to settle at the rear of the pack before making a charging run to sweep by and take a 3m margin. The win confidence is a big help for a repeat effort. CHAL BE (10) angled to the poles here two starts back and with the cosy trip had space in the stretch to charge home and run the winner to a lip. Strong to the line again last time behind VINDICATE, he faces the tough gate again but with the right temp can be making a closing challenge. BETTING ORIGIN (6) claimed the 3YO Triad Consolation two starts back when taking control from gate 2 and taking them all the way. A beaten fav from this gate last week, he has podium claims. MAYWYN MACDUFF (1) has the lone win on this deck to his name which came when settled in the trail. He can secure that run again here and after a tough trip last time out, can chime in up the stretch. SELECTIONS: BETTORS HOPE (2), CHAL BE (10), BETTING ORIGIN (6), MAYWYN MACDUFF (1) SUGGESTED BET: BETTORS HOPE (2) to win
RACE EIGHT With no favours from the outside paint, the same gate he copped here last week, ROCK BOTTOM (7) will likely be doing it tough at some point in transit. Sent to sit parked last week, he was game in defeat after grafting it out first over. This looks an open old timers’ contest. MAJORDOIT (2) eased to the poles from gate 2 last start and was making some nice metres in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner in some tidy closing panels. Too far back the start prior when eased form the centre of the line and trying to chase, he can be close enough to challenge. CAPTAIN KIRK (5) is still looking to overturn a win drought that dates to 2020. With added fitness after four runs back from a long layoff, he was sound to the line last time and can join in here. KEY LARGO (10) has no favours from out the back with all his best work done up on the engine. Running some smart closing splits from this gate last start, he can be chiming in late. SELECTIONS: ROCK BOTTOM (7), MAJORDOIT (2), CAPTAIN KIRK (5), KEY LARGO (10) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE NINE Yet to miss the money in 8 attempts here at The Creek, CLASSIE WASHINGTON (1) lands all the options to capitalise here. Best of the chasing pack last start behind the star LEAP TO FAME, the start prior he was strong to the line in a 51.9-mile chasing TARGARYEN. He gets every chance. LOVE YOUR WORK (8) goes in search of the hat-trick after successive wins when setting the speed. He will not get that luxury here and will need to display a different pattern with the majority of his 12 career wins secured when in front or parked out. With the right trip, he can throw it down. MUCH BETTOR (3) found the right conditions here last week and saved for a closing challenge, powered home to take the prize. Settling handy enough from this alley can see him feature. BOMBADIER JUJON (6) was first up from a freshen last time out when tackling a Saturday night contest. Chasing hard to finish midfield after retreating early, he has a podium claims here. SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (1), LOVE YOUR WORK (8), MUCH BETTOR (3), BOMBADIER JUJON (6) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE TEN It’s a tough gate for LEITHEN BURN (7), but he looks to have found another suitable contest to continue the marks his super consistent form card. Overcoming gate 5 last time when sent forward to take control of the 2138m trip, he had been runner-up in all three prior outings. Back to the mile can see him defy the gate. CATSEYE BEACH (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage from this alley as he looks set to be buried in the run. Holding on for the bronze last start behind AMORE VITA, he was sent for a break with the upcoming NSW Breeders Challenge on the radar. Off a smart trial he can challenge fresh if the gaps arrive. SMOOTH CASH (5) will be first up from a break here after his last start in early July. Eased to the rear in a qualifying event on that occasion when down the line, he can feature here fresh. MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) has been runner-up at his past two starts on this deck, the latest when charging home from back in the pack for 2nd to BETTORS HOPE. With an economical trip he can join in. SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (7), CATSEYE BEACH (8), SMOOTH CASH (5), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (7) to win
