RACE ONE
FREE THINKER (5) has had the 2 career starts to date. Starting a long price here on debut put in a solid effort finishing third to SKY BLU. Last start he started an odds-on favourite where he finished third although had to work hard in the run. The wide gate is no luxury, but the smaller field will help. He can win this.
QUEENSLANDER (6) was out of position at the score up here on debut although gave a brave effort finishing fourth behind BORELLA. With the race experience under his belt, he can be an improver.
TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (1) is yet to win in 7 career starts but has been placed twice. She should get every favour from the gate and can be thereabouts.
SUGGESTED BET: FREE THINKER (5) to win
RACE TWO
YOU NO ILL BE LATE (3) is a winner of 4 from his 6 race starts. Last start he started an odds-on favourite where he was able find the lead before breaking, finishing down the track. He is very talented trotter and if on his best behaviour can get the job done.
NORTIE NORTIE (2) has had 2 starts since arriving in Australia. First start here he obtained a flat tyre in running when finishing around midfield behind PARIS KAY. Last start he was able to position in behind the leader then unfortunately broke in running. He is a winner of 2 races in New Zealand. If he brings that form to the races he can improve sharply.
PARIS KAY (4) has found a purple patch of form of late winning her last 2 starts. She is a winner of 6 from 17 career starts. She will make her presence felt.
SUGGESTED BET: YOU NO ILL BE LATE (3) to win
RACE THREE
LEESA CASTLETON (3) is now in the care of Chantal Turpin having its first run in Australia. This 7-year-old mare has won 7 races from 68 career starts. She has won 2 races over this distance range to date. Although having to take her on trust first up, on her exposed form she can be in finish.
ZEALOUS SPUR (2) is another ex-NZ trotter that has had 2 runs in Australia in which last start was a victory here at Albion Park. He was able to work forward to the lead from the 30-metre handicap where he was able to fend off the challengers to score. He will be hard to beast again.
BOURBONONTHEROCKS (1) is a winner of her last 3 starts. This 9 year old mare is in fine form at the moment. Although this is slightly harder than what she has contested of late, she can take the next step.
SUGGESTED BET: LEESA CASTLETON (3) TO WIN
RACE FOUR
KENETURIO (4) is a winner of 2 from 5 starts. Last start she was aiming for 3 on the bounce when breaking twice in running. The previous 2 starts were wins over this Springboard Journey of 1628 metres. She can atone here. Looks hard to beat.
WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (6) has been a winner 3 of his last 5 starts. Last start he was able to find a position in behind the leader then shot away for a dominant victory. He is a definite winning hope.
HOLD MY HAT DOUG (1) was able to break his maiden last start, he was placed 5 times prior to last run. Although this is harder, he can figure.
UWOHALI (8) has been going great without winning. She has finished second her last 4 starts. Most recently she finished second to the well performed PARIS KAY. She will be thereabouts again.
SUGGESTED BET: KENETURIO (4) to win
RACE FIVE
MY RUMOUR HAS IT (5) is an ex-NZ Trotter now with the Chantal Turpin yard. Although a winner of only 1 race from her 12 career starts to date her form over there was ok. She starts from the 10-metre handicap here and if she can get a clean getaway she should be in this race for a long way.
DELLARIO (7) delivered a pleasing performance first up in Australia finishing second to ZEALOUS SPUR. With the run under his belt, he should strip fitter here. His NZ form was solid prior to coming to Australia, he is one of the major players.
JACKA WATCH (10) has been ultra consistent of late. He was a winner here 3 starts back when defeating HATTIE when zipping home his last quarter in 28.7. His last 2 runs have been full of merit. A definite each way show in this race.
YEA YOU (9) hasn’t been too far away of late and can place.
SUGGESTED BET: MY RUMOUR HAS IT (5) EACH WAY
RACE SIX
THE HARRIS HAWK (4) was a winner here on Friday when narrowly defeating WHERES TASCOTT. He was able to storm home off the speed on that occasion. This is slightly harder but if he finds a prominent position without having to do much work he can go back to back.
NEVADA YANKEE (8) was an impressive winner 3 starts ago at Wagga in a mile rate of 1:54.4 over the 1740 metre journey. Following that run wasn’t disgraced at Echuca only beaten just over 10 metres behind REGAL BREEZE. He started an odds-on favourite at Redcliffe last start where he led and weakened late. That run was first up from a break. With the softer draw and extra fitness in his favour he can figure.
EUGENIEN (9) hasn’t been too far away of late. With the right run in transit can be thereabouts.
CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7) was a winner here 3 starts ago when finding the front from this same draw and holding his rivals at bay. He then placed here the following start behind BRONSKI DELIGHT. Last start may be a forgive run where he broke in the score up and put in a below par effort when failing to finish. If he is in his best behaviour he can win this.
SUGGESTED BET: THE HARRIS HAWK (4) each way
RACE SEVEN
OUR BONDI BEACH (3) has been a grand campaigner winning 22 races. A winner here 5 starts ago he has then been able to finished second his last 2 starts from good draws. He should race handy from the draw and be hard to beat.
OHOKA JIMMY (2) has been racing well of late. He was a good winner here 5 starts ago when defeating JUMPING JACK JIMMY. His form since has been full of merit. The low draw suits and he looks one of the main chances.
PARAVANI (5) finds a suitable race. 2 starts back he wasn’t far away in a stronger race only going down by just under 4 metres to BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. With luck from the draw he can be thereabouts.
MOHS EM DOWM (10) has the second row draw to contend with here but has been going well without winning. With luck he is a genuine place chance.
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BONDI BEACH (3) to win.
RACE EIGHT
BETTING ORIGIN (9) has been racing well of late. He was a winner here 3 starts ago in the QBred Triad Consolation defeating MY ULTIMATE VICTOR in a mile rate of 1:58:4 for the 2138 metre journey. His last 2 runs have been solid without winning. He has the right form to win this just needs a touch of luck from the draw.
LOVIN MISS DIXIE (3) went well here last start from the same draw finishing second after leading in the early part of the race before surrendering to obtain cover. She was strong to the line. From the gate she has options again and looks to be a major player
RANCHO MAN (5) comes up with an awkward draw here but has some strong numbers on the board of late. The win 2 starts back gives him a chance with luck from the draw.
SHEREACTS (8) draws to obtain a soft run in transit. She finished third here last start from the same draw although couldn’t sprint with them the last section, where the last half was covered in a slick 55.5. She deserves another chance here.
SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (9) to win
RACE NINE
BETTORS HOPE (1) has been going great guns of late in easier grade winning 3 of his last 5 starts. Most recently started from gate 7 where he was taken back off the gate and swooped home late for a commanding victory in a mile rate of 1:53.7. Adding extra merit to the win was the last half was covered in 56.1. This is harder but gets every opportunity from the draw and can take the extra step in the race.
GELDOF (3) lands a favourable draw. Since winning at Marburg 4 starts ago nothing has really gone his way and has been taking on some better races of late. With luck in running he can figure in the finish.
COPPERFIELD (6) comes up with a poor draw but has been racing in great heart recently. He took on a Qualifying Pace last start where he finished second to SAGINAW. The draw makes it hard for him but with luck is a genuine chance.
LETSPLAYUNI (8) has been contesting tougher races of late. A winner of 8 races from 36 starts in his career. He lands a perfect trailing draw in this race and has won 2 of his last 5. A genuine chance.
SUGGESTED BET: BETTORS HOPE (1) to win
