SAILALONG SINBAD (1) darted through from gate 1 on The Triangle last start and once in control was able to take them all the way after starting deep in the red. Bouncing back into winning form with that win after wilting when chasing the hat-trick the start prior, he has the gate to challenge. MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (5) added another minor to the form card last week, finishing in the money at his past four in succession now. It was a tough effort after grinding outside the leader and finishing 4m astern of the passing lane victor INFATUATION. He will need to do it tough again. LOVIN MISS DIXIE (5) pounced on the poles from gate 2 on Tues and was looking to take them all the way. MOLLIESMARYELLE (6) was sent forward from this gate last time out and kept them rolling after a 27 flat opener. Trying to break free, she was out of bullets and faded late. Making an error in the Forever Gold two starts back, she can press on with it here to issue the challenge. MARIANNA BROMAC (1) claimed a mare’s qualifier here last week from outside the second line. Save for the closing raid, she charged home to arrive with a head to spare. From the gate she can feature. MISS MIA (3) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when sent to the front from gate 3 and dictating the pace was able to claim a 6m margin. RACE NINE There was much to be enthused by the first effort of UNCLE SHANK (6) against the FFA performers out of the Be Good Johnny. Starting from the second line, he was under 3m from the winner BLACKSADANCE, with some slick closing panels. Franking that with his first win at 2138m last start, can he out-sprint them?
NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) looked to have every conceivable last week after pinching a pedestrian 39.2 lead time followed with a 61.4 opening half. That set it up for a last half blitz where he was worried out of it by MACH DA VINCI. He can take control here and a more genuine tempo will see him set the target. BIG WHEELS (5) led with ease over this trip last time out and after a steady 58.4 opening half it developed into a turn and burn. Putting them away through a 26.3 closer, the gate makes it an ask here. SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3), BIG WHEELS (5) SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE SHANK (6) to win
RACE TEN A competitive trot to round out the night where you could make a case for any of the 8 to reign supreme. With great manners STRESS FACTOR (3) looks to get the right set up here. Stepping to the front last start over this trip, he was nabbed by subsequent winner INDEFENSIBLE. He will be gripping on. FATHER CHRISTMAS (1) tackled the mobile 2138m last start where he was asked to do it the tough way outside the leader. Fighting hard to be 10m away, it followed a midfield return when off 50m on the tight Marburg track. Back to the front under these conditions, he can be positioned to challenge. GEE UP NEDDY (7) has been consistent, hitting the board in 4 of his past 5 attempts, the latest when off 30m and finishing 4m from INDEFENSIBLE. With the right trip he will be joining in.
