RACE ONE Despite it being a field of just 6, this is a nice quality late season 2YO contest where KHULAN KID (3) can look to build from his victory here last week. A nice effort on debut when 3rd to SARASUN, he showed the gate hustle to dictate last week and pull clear to a 12m margin. The added experience aids his repeat hopes. MYDADSAID (5) is undefeated in two career outings after returning from a spell with a stylish victory here on Dec 2. Making his debut in Albury back in February with a nice win, he overcame the second line first up when pulling clear to a 13m margin. The small field will ais his chances of a threepeat. APOLLO DREAMZ (2) returns from a spell without a public trial. A debut winner where he had the speed to lead and then despite racing greenly claimed a 20m margin, he looked impressive and has the gate advantage. SELECTIONS: KHULAN KID (3), MYDADSAID (5), APOLLO DREAMZ (2) SUGGESTED BET: KHULAN KID (3) to win
RACE TWO OONSKADE (1) stepped safely and settle in the trail here last week and with the right trip was able to work into open space and pull clear to take a 9m margin. Breaking the maiden status with that victory, she can again step off the front tape and possie up to look for the carbon copy performance. QUERENCIA (4) started from the 20m tape last start and was trying to make a raid but well covered behind JET LEGS. Runner-up to MINNIE BOW TIQUE here two starts back, he is a good beginner and freshened since his last appearance, can get forward here to issue the challenge. YEA YOU (8) was a winner here three starts back when sent to the front after stepping smartly from the 40m tape and in control saw it out. Just a head away on Friday against stronger opposition, he looms large in this. JACCKA WATCH (10) started from 50m last start and was back in the pack and making some closing metres to be 2nd behind OONSKADE. Moving 10m closer will help his chances. SELECTIONS: OONSKADE (1), QUERENCIA (4), YEA YOU (8), JACCKA WATCH (10) SUGGESTED BET: OONSKADE (1) to win
RACE THREE Making his career debut on Friday here at The Creek, ALTA MAGACIAN (9) released from gate 1 and then with the cosy trip in behind the speed then owned superior closing power to charge over the top to a 3m margin. With the added experience, he can win his second maiden. HASTY BID (10) is a nicely bred Bettors Delight gelding out of a strong maternal family on debut for the Wayne Graham stable. With a nice trial to earn the race ticket where he was not asked for too much, he faces a tricky gate at his first race appearance. BURTON (5) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest a tough effort on The Triangle when sitting parked and only 2m from the winner. He can chime in again here. DOLLAR BUCKS (7) darted across to set the speed at Redcliffe last start and after a steady time was unable to see it out. 3rd to ENGLISH DANCE from this gate two back, he is a podium chance. SELECTIONS: ALTA MAGACIAN (9), HASTY BID (10), BURTON (5), DOLLAR BUCKS (7) SUGGESTED BET: ALTA MAGACIAN (9) to win
RACE FOUR In the money in 5 of her 6 career starts which has seen her land one victory, SISTA BLISS (1) should appreciate the options on offer from the best gate she has faced to date. A beaten fav last week behind NO MOTIVE, she was winding up once the race was out of reach. She can bounce back. NO MOTIVE (3) was first up for Jack Butler last week where she was set alight down the back stretch and put a gap on the field to pull clear to a big 10m victory. Taking benefit from that run, which was her first since early November, she has the gate to be close enough to chase a repeat. ACE LOMBO (8) was a winner here two starts back after he was sent to sit parked and was able to grind out a 2m victory. That win has been sandwiched either side by races where he has been unable to complete the course after striking trouble. He can stalk the speed. DEVOUGED (9) found optimal conditions last start when pressing forward to take control and once in front was able to take them all the way to a 3m margin. He can follow through to feature. SELECTIONS: SISTA BLISS (1), NO MOTIVE (3), ACE LOMBO (8), DEVOUGED (9) SUGGESTED BET: SISTA BLISS (1) to win
RACE FIVE The classy 2YO BORELLA (3) takes on the older horses again and from the gate looks to be able to add another victory to his name to take his career to 3 from 5. Dominating some lesser opposition last start with a 12m margin and a further 28m back to 3rd, he can step up to the 2138m for the first time to take this by the scruff of the neck. RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) eased from gate 6 last time out and from deep in the pack against the poles but did not really get warm over the closing stages. A similar scenario unfolded the start prior and with the improved alley can be tucked in behind the speed ready to issue the challenge. LANCELOT BROMAC (10) does his better work at the mile but can secure the right trip in the early stages here. At start 486, he moves equal in the history pages as most ever career starts with this outing. ITS SUPER EASY (7) has the wide gate to negotiate and was luckless last start when striking trouble in the run. Limiting the work through the middle stages will help his chances. SELECTIONS: BORELLA (3), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), LANCELOT BROMAC (10), ITS SUPER EASY (7) SUGGESTED BET: BORELLA (3) to win
RACE SIX This looks a tricky little contest where most of these are searching to recapture some of better form. Given a brief freshen, CALF PEN (9) was down the line last time out behind the airborne MIDNIGHT CALM. Two back he never got a crack at them when snookered and with a slice of luck is up to this. STORMTIDE (3) will be first up for the Donny Smith yard after finishing down the line last start from gate 6 at Redcliffe where he was too far back to make an impact. With good speed off the arm, he can look to find the pegs and from the front look to issue the challenge. STOKER ACE (8) was making some nice metres in the latter stages last time out to grab the bronze behind DEVOUGED after starting from gate 10. He will be buried away but can be making a play. GOLDEN SAND (7) has been at the tail of the field in his past three starts after some tough runs. He will be put into the battle again here despite the gate but meets more suitable opposition. SELECTIONS: CALF PEN (9), STORMTIDE (3), STOKER ACE (8), GOLDEN SAND (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN After a switch of stables to join the Donny Smith yard prior to his last start, LE TISSIER (8) looked sharp in claiming a Redcliffe victory in smart time. He faced a wide gate in that contest and worked over the top of the small field. Following a fast beginner, he will be stalking ready to strike. HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (1) was a winner here four starts back when scoring a powerful first over victory from gate 4 at the mile. Runner-up at his past two starts when setting the tempo out in front, he has the gate to dictate and will be gripping on in the stretch. KEAYANG MARVEN (10) looked to have found the ideal conditions for a breakthrough on Saturday night but was trapped behind a white flag waving leader. He can get to the outside and run on. SAGINAW (3) eased to find position last time out and was attacking the line strongly without ever seeing an uninterrupted passage to the line. Positioning handy and strong tempo will help. SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (8), HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (1), KEAYANG MARVEN (10), SAGINAW (3) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-8-10
RACE EIGHT Freshened since his last appearance where he settled in the running line OUR BONDI BEACH (1) will appreciate the peg line trip where he does his best work. Runner-up two starts back, he will have the cosy trip in behind the speed ready to launch when the passing lane presents. MARETTI (3) broke through to score for his first win of the season here three runs back when taking the trail from gate 1. Wider gates have put the task out of reach at his past two attempts and with the hustle to find the pegs in this contest, will land his chance to dictate. ITS MR CLOONEY (8) had been building towards a win with some smart performances in defeat and then last week was able to graft out a strong victory. Inside the second line makes it tricky. OUR MAJOR DAY (10) has no favours from outside the second line but if able to find the right trail in the early stages can land handy enough to make a closing play. SELECTIONS: OUR BONDI BEACH (8), MARETTI (3), ITS MR CLOONEY (8), OUR MAJOR DAY (10) SUGGESTED BET:
