RQ advises that the race meeting scheduled for Cairns Jockey Club on Friday, February 17 has been abandoned due to weather and state of the track.
The track has received 85mm of rain in the last two days and substantial rain forecast in the next two days.
Consideration was given to racing on Monday but it was determined the track would still be unsuitable for racing. Additional races will be added to Townsville for next Tuesday. This will be advised shortly.
