RACE ONE In consistent form since starting her 4YO term, OONSKADE (6) has bene in the money in 6 of her 9 attempts with one win and 5 minors. Making nice metres last week when the leader winner had slipped away and grabbing 3rd, she can be working into this to chase another victory. ALLANON (2) was sharper last time out where he was safely away to set the tempo and just faded over the closing stages. Competing through the McNeil heats but unable to progress, he looks to have found the right et up here to throw down a challenge. JUST CALL ME MOLLY (5) continued to chase valiantly here last week when finishing in 2nd, under 2m from the winner after stepping cleanly from the 30m. A safe start will bring her into contention. GLENEAGLE REIGN (1) returns from a spell to start his 3YO term after ending his 2YO season with a Redcliffe victory, trotting cleanly to lead throughout. He has the 20m start but faces a task fresh. SELECTIONS: OONSKADE (6), ALLANON (2), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (5), GLENEAGLE REIGN (1) SUGGESTED BET: OONSKADE (6) to win
RACE TWO A 2YO event with 4 first starters and another 3 with just a solitary start against their name. RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (1) trialled nicely in readiness for the debut and is a beautifully bred filly by Art Major out of the former smart race mare Argyle Beach. From the ace she can start her career in style. LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (8) is a Bling It On filly on debut out of the mare Victree Bonita, who has produced four foals and all four have been successful. A half to MY ULTIMATE LEVI, she trialled in nice style and if securing a cosy spot from this alley, she can capitalise. JOEYS ON A ROLL (6) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when making nice metres in the closing stages to grab 3rd behind IGNITE THE FIRE. Placed in 3 of his 4 starts, he can feature. ELIARN (2) dropped down to the poles at her first start and chased gamely to be just out of the money behind MORE SASS. With some experience, she can feature second up. SELECTIONS: RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (1), LOCHINVAR JEWELLS (8), JOEYS ON A ROLL (6), ELIARN (2) SUGGESTED BET: RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (1) to win
RACE THREE Faced with gate 5 last start and able to secure the 1x1 trail, SKYLAR BREE (4) was caught in a pocket and lost all her momentum and was left to dart back to the passing lane trying to eat into the deficit. Striking trouble right at release point the start prior, this looks within reach. PUMPKIN PAT (1) needed clear space to arrive sooner here last week and she may have been closer to the winner after finishing 8m in arrears of the winner VALERIE VERDE. Working in the run the start prior, she has all the options here to issue a challenge. ASTROPHILLIA (8) was second up in Qld last start and first up off a stand down embargo for gaiting issues when sticking to the leaders back and grabbing the silver. A similar trip looks available. CHAKANA (6) steps out on the big deck for the first time after all four previous attempts have been at Redcliffe. Only 2m away last start, she has place claims. SELECTIONS: SKYLAR BREE (4), PUMPKIN PAT (1), ASTROPHILLIA (8), CHAKANA (6) SUGGESTED BET: SKYLAR BREE (4) to win
RACE FOUR
Taking his first look at the veteran’s grade, LEFT A TERROR (2) comes up with the right gate to show his early speed and put himself in the right type of position. Beaten by a wide gate three back, his past two in Saturday night company have had merit and he secures the chance to capitalise. KASH US BACK (6) eased from gate 7 last start where he was then trying to mount the closing raid, coming up 3m short of the winner ROLL ONE OVER. Runner-up to subsequent winner EL AGUILA the start prior, the smaller field and this grade will see him issue a challenge. STOMPEM (1) used the passing lane at Redcliffe last start to dart through and grab the bronze behind ROCKNROLL TIMES. He has the right gate to be firing some closing bullets once again. ROLL ONE OVER (5) was a winner in this same grade last week when retreating from the wide gate before finishing over the top of them. He moves one spot closer and can be right in the fight. SELECTIONS: LEFT A TERROR (2), KASH US BACK (6), STOMPEM (1), ROLL ONE OVER (5) SUGGESTED BET: LEFT A TERROR (2) to win
RACE FIVE Another typically open 30-40 graded event whereby virtue of the ace, HANDSOME HARRY (1) looks to get his chance to capitalise. Releasing for the trail last start at Redcliffe, he was able to dart through up the passing lane to score. Fitter after he was second up from a break in that, he can cash in. TODAYS HERO (9) eased to the poles last week and was under a drive approaching the home turn but was able to keep giving to the wire to hold on for 3rd, albeit over 15m from the winner. He can trail through early to find the position to offer a closing challenge. MOLLIDOR (8) sat in the trail from gate 1 last week and was best of the chasers behind EXCITING TIMES to hold 2nd. Not suited from gate 6 the start prior, she can be searching for a gap to offer. LANCELOT BROMAC (7) is not assisted by the gate, but the old boy keeps on keeping on and moves to 499 career starts here. He will be doing his best work in the closing stages attempting to join in.., SELECTIONS: HANDSOME HARRY (1), TODAYS HERO (9), MOLLIDOR (8), LANCELOT BROMAC (7) SUGGESTED BET: HANDSOME HARRY (1) to win
RACE SIX After a NSW Breeders Challenge Series campaign that went awry last October, WISPER A SECRET (5) returned home for two more races before being sent for a spell. Closing strongly at his last attempt of the season behind CHEER LEADER, he blew out the cobwebs at the trials and can strike first up. MULLUM AXEL (9) was first up for the new stable off the back of a spell last time out when firing off the gate to set the tempo and take them all the way to a smart win with a nice closing 800m sectional. The gate makes it tough second up, but he can press through to challenge. EMPRESS BYELINE (3) returns from a spell after facing the starter just three times at her last campaign back in 2023 when placed in all three. With some smart trail form, she can feature fresh. PAGO PAGO (1) steps up in grade for this assignment but lands the offset by starting from the ace gate. Placed in 6 of 9 this season which includes a victory, he can be probing through to join in. SELECTIONS: WISPER A SECRET (5), MULLUM AXEL (9), EMPRESS BYELINE (3), PAGO PAGO (1) SUGGESTED BET: WISPER A SECRET (5) to win
RACE SEVEN This looms as a tricky little battle with the exposed 2138 form of the majority of the field clouding the situation even further. DEVOUGED (9) is a seven-time winner here at HQ, but none of those have been over the 2138. Not much went right for him last week behind ROCK HAMMER, but he can arrive here. MISS MIA (1) has all the options from this gate and looks to hold more in her favour than against to take this. Chasing a hat-trick of wins two runs back, she pressed through from the second line at Redcliffe to be 1m from the winner. 3m away behind ROCK HAMMER last week, she can challenge. ROCK HAMMER (6) was able to graft out a gritty victory here last week at the mile, when digging in for the fight. Unplaced in his only previous attempt beyond 2000m, the gate doesn’t help either. VALERIE VERDE (8) was second up in Qld last week where she was sent to the front and controlling the tempo held on to score. That broke the maiden status, with the cosy trip helping her chances. SELECTIONS: DEVOUGED (9), MISS MIA (1), ROCK HAMMER (6), VALERIE VERDE (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT Completing a hat-trick of victories here last week, OUR MODERN MINNIE (9) was able to do it comfortably out in front and claim a career PB with the 10m margin. Scoring the easiest of wins the start prior when deep into the red, she will need to chase here but looks up to the task. FLO RYDA (1) overcame a second line gate at Redcliffe three runs back when finishing best to claim the prize. Down the line on this deck in both appearances since that victory, he secures a big improvement in barrier draw fortune and with the cosy trip can look to issue a challenge. QUARTZITE (2) was banished to the trials last time out for a sub-par effort and has since earned the return with a tidy hit out. With the speed to get across, he can be better suited on the front end. O B LEGAL (8) faced the outside second line last start and did not get the cleanest passage when grabbing the silver behind OUR MODERN MINNIE. A winner at 3 of his previous 4, he will be probing. SELECTIONS: OUR MODERN MINNIE (9), FLO RYDA (1), QUARTZITE (2), O B LEGAL (8) SUGGESTED BET: OUR MODERN MINNIE (9) to win
RACE NINE A tricky old timers event to close the card where winning chances can be given to most of the runners in this batter. SAM IS PERFECTION (2) lands his best gate in some time which might be all he needs to turn it around. Sectionally he has been super of late from tough gates and is worth the chance. EL AGUILA (6) is afforded no favours from the wide gate here but has arrived back in Qld in super form where he is undefeated since joining the Donny Smith hangar that has the team airborne. Scoring a tough win in front over his less preferred middle trip last start, he will throw it down again. APHORISM (3) was much sharper last start when closing out in smart fashion from deep in the pack to be 8m in arrears of EL AGUILA. With arm hustle, he can get forward to feature. ITS MR CLOONEY (9) was a winner in this grade two starts back after he descended on them down the stretch after retreating from gate 6. He will be needing to chime in again from this alley. SELECTIONS: SAM IS PERFECTION (2), EL AGUILA (6), APHORISM (3), ITS MR CLOONEY (9) SUGGESTED BET: SAM IS PERFECTION (2) to win
