RACE ONE SO AM I (9) was last seen in early February when tackling a second division qualifier and finishing down the line behind ZHUKOV LEIS. Asked to sit parked at his last appearance here on The Triangle and finishing down the line behind CHAINLINC. With some good front tempo, he gets a chance fresh. WINDY HILL WALLY (7) settled in the running line last start and was trying to issue a closing challenge when holding on for the silver behind subsequent winner LA SAFRON. He will be relying on a slice of luck from this alley as he looks in danger of being buried but can make a closing challenge. MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1) will strip fitter from his last appearance where he was first up from a spell for the new stable. Locked away from inside when returning, he has the gate to chime in. SUNNY COVE (2) eased from gate 5 last start and was making good metres in the closing stages when finishing 7m from the winner FLO RYDA. He can be handy enough to feature. SELECTIONS: SO AM I (9), WINDY HILL WALLY (7), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1), SUNNY COVE (2) SUGGESTED BET: SO AM I (9) to win
RACE TWO ARTFUL JACK (9) faced this same gate last start and was rattling home in the closing stages to grab the silver when just a head from the winner. A beaten fav here two starts back when holding on for the bronze, he can overcome the tough gate to chase down the gold. SIGNOR JUJON (3) will take benefit from his latest offering where he was resuming from a spell. Fresh up since that last start in early February, he has the early hustle to fire some bullets out of the machine and settling handy to the action can look to throw down the challenge. MATAI REACTOR (2) was a winner from the second line four starts back and since that win, has been unable to get close to replicating it. From this gate in this line up, he can make a play. OUTER CHANGE (7) was a Marburg winner three starts back after securing the ideal trip in behind the leader. Too far back when retreating last start, she can be tucked in behind here ready to strike. SELECTIONS: ARTFUL JACK (9), SIGNOR JUJON (3), MATAI REACTOR (2), OUTER CHANGE (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE PRESS STATEMENT (2) secured a magic trip here two starts back to get the pocket trail after looking set to be snookered three back. That made all the difference as he was able to arrive for a 3m margin. Luckless last start when locked away, from the front line he gets the chance to cash in. COURAGEOUS SAM (6) overcame this same gate last week by going back early and then owning superior power in the closing stages when charging home over the top of them. Luckless the start prior when only 5m away in a blanket finish, he finds similar conditions to issue the challenge. OCTOBER RACKETEER (5) slid forward from gate 4 last time to find the 1x1 trail and then had the speed to descend on them and claim a narrow victory. The gate dents the repeat hopes. GABBYS SPORTSTAR (4) settled in the pocket trail last time out from gate 1 and chased hard for 2nd behind OUR MODERN MINNIE. He might need to be working hard but won’t be too far away. SELECTIONS: PRESS STATEMENT (2), COURAGEOUS SAM (6), OCTOBER RACKETEER (5), GABBYS SPORTSTAR (4) SUGGESTED BET: PRESS STATEMENT (2) to win
RACE FOUR
MACH TORQUE (2) eased to find position last start and from deep in the pack was charging home to get within a half-head of the winner. Striking trouble the start prior, she finds a race where many of her rivals have questionable numbers at the middle trip, a concern she does not face. MISS MIA (8) is chasing down a hat-trick of victories after wins at the 1780 and then this trip last time out. Able to dart across to the front and then take them all the way, she also had to win the battle in the steward’s room. The right trail in the early stages can see her issue a challenge. AFTER DARN (1) could not go on with it last start from the running line as COURAGEOUS SAM went on to score. A winner from this gate three back, she has all the options to feature. TRACER BULLET (6) overcame the outside second line two starts back when descending on them to take a 2m margin. Despite the wide gate, he can again be chiming in. SELECTIONS: MACH TORQUE (2), MISS MIA (8), AFTER DARN (1), TRACER BULLET (6) SUGGESTED BET: MACH TORQUE (2) to win
RACE FIVE EMMALEEN (2) has been the runner-up in 3 of her 4 starts since resuming from a break, the latest when closing out hard to be just a neck from the winner HUNK OF SPUNK. From the gate she can be handy enough to the action and finds her chance to get on the board this term. CARTER GRANT (5) returns from a spell to kick off his season after a 2YO term where he was the bridesmaid on five occasions and claimed one victory in his nine attempts. Last seen in the Triad Final, he opened the pipes with a steady trial in readiness for his first outing here on The Triangle. BARROOM BLITZ (1) settled in the pocket trail last start from inside the second line and was trying to launch the closing raid when beaten a neck. With early hustle, she is right in the fight. FEEL YOUR WAY (7) has placed at her past two starts and maps for the soft trip here. Runner-up last start to SUNRISE RUBY from the trail, she is a podium chance again here. SELECTIONS: EMMALEEN (2), CARTER GRANT (5), BARROOM BLITZ (1), FEEL YOUR WAY (7) SUGGESTED BET: EMMALEEN (2) to win
RACE SIX SHAKATIE (7) has been hitting some good areas, and last start capitalised from gate 1 to take them all the way with a handy last 800. A gritty effort when parked and holding on for the silver three starts back, she can secure the easy trip behind the speed here and await the lane to take her shot. CIRCLE LINE (8) was too tough for them last start at Marburg last time out when sent around them from the second line to sit parked and grind out a 2m winning margin. The second line makes it tough again, but he is racing in great heart and can throw down the challenge once again. HOLME BOY (1) has good speed off the arm and from this alley can be burrowing through to hold them out. Asked to graft it out when parked last start for a fighting 2nd, he will be in the mix. BORDERLINE (6) faces the ODM embargo after making an early error last start. Chasing hard and making up plenty of ground, she finished it off in smart fashion. The wide gate makes it a tough ask. SELECTIONS: SHAKATIE (7), CIRCLE LINE (8), HOLME BOY (1), BORDERLINE (6) SUGGESTED BET: SHAKATIE (7) to win
RACE SEVEN HARLEY BLUE (3) was last seen back in August when taking on the G1 Triad Final when finishing near the rear as MAGICAL MAYA claimed the prize. Midfield behind ALWAYSBME the start prior, she has had three trials in readiness for a return, the past two suggesting she can strike early this campaign. MOONAN NINA (2) showed some early speed last start before settling in the 1x1 trail over the AP mile. Trying to make a closing raid, she finished midfield when 7m from FILLY THIRTEEN which followed an attempt in a mare’s qualifier. From this gate, she can issue the challenge. OLLIE ONE SHOT (9) broke the maiden tag two starts back when sent to the front from gate 6 and able to take them all the way. Collared in front last start, he can chime in from the tough gate. SHORT LEG SUE (4) will take benefit from her last start where she was resuming from a spell and made nice metres in the closing stages. With a smart record of 9: 1-4-2 on this deck, she has claims. SELECTIONS: HARLEY BLUE (3), MOONAN NINA (2), OLLIE ONE SHOT (9), SHORT LEG SUE (4) SUGGESTED BET: HARLEY BLUE (3) to win
RACE EIGHT TORQUE IN CONTROL (8) has drawn inside the second line at her past two starts and been buried in the run on each. Four runs back she tried to capitalise from the ace to take them all the way when gunned down late. The depth is limited here, and she gets every chance to end a drought. BADLUCKBAZ (4) was left chasing behind MISTER WOODPORT last start when finishing down the line which followed an unsuitable assignment from outside the second line. This looks his chance to flash some early speed and get handy top challenge. GO JO JOLT (6) will be on the two day back-up after going around on Monday night here. Reeled in when leading two starts back, she can defy the wide gate to feature in this line up. JAMAICAN RESORT (7) will be relying on some luck to see open road and when it presents, he can be trying to launch a closing raid. SELECTIONS: TORQUE IN CONTROL (8), BADLUCKBAZ (4), GO JO JOLT (6), JAMAICAN RESORT (7) SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE IN CONTROL (8) to win
RACE NINE KEITH WILL DO (3) resumes from a spell following five runs last campaign where he returned one placing. Sound to the line at his last 2YO appearance when chasing GIRL FORM ROSEDALE, he is fresh up without a trial but finds a suitable contest to get on the board. JUSTUNDERTHELIMIT (1) fired off the arm to set the tempo last time out and led deep into the stretch, only to be collared by SHE DAZZLES. 3rd from inside the second line here two starts back behind SNACK TIME ROCKS, she lands all the options to open the account. THEMOSTESS (8) was first up for the new stable last start and did too much in the early stages and wilted late. Following through here and saved for one shot can see her more effective. TAKE COURGE (5) is a 2YO tackling the older performers and was sound on debut when midfield behind SHE DAZZLES. The gate hurts but with the added race experience can chime in. SELECTIONS: KEITH WILL DO (3), JUSTUNDERTHELIMIT (1), THEMOSTESS (8), TAKE COURGE (5) SUGGESTED BET: KEITH WILL DO (3) to win
RACE TEN AWAYOVERNIGHT (9) has the tough gate to negotiate but should find this easier than recent outings where he has been consistent. Needing a gap sooner than it arrived last start when grabbing 3rd behind HESLUVABLE, a similar fate beset him three back when runner-up to SOULWRITER. This is well within his grasp. IM A CLASSY GIRL (3) was sent around them in the middle stages last start to sit parked from the second line and was game in fighting hard for the bronze when 8m from the winner. Placed in 3 of 6 since resuming, she has the gate to throw down the challenge. FEELING THE POWER (4) sat in the running line last start and was looming up in the stretch here last start to be 2m from the winner MISTER WOODPORT. He can be make a closing raid once again. MALIBU DREAM (2) will appreciate the chance to move down to the fence draw and should secure the economical trip. Tucked in behind can see her grab a minor. SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (9), IM A CLASSY GIRL (3), FEELING THE POWER (4), MALIBU DREAM (2) SUGGESTED BET: AWAYOVERNIGHT (9) to win
