RACE ONE

Sent forward off the arm last start from gate 6 over the 2138 trip, MR MCLAREN (5) took control and kept a strong tempo. Busting them open with a sub 27 third panel, there was no respite for the chasers when he finished them off in 27.2. Back to the mile, he can power up again.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) has been sectionally super in recent starts but just cannot find the right set up to get the reward for effort. Poking through along the fence last start when 6m away, he should relish the chance in this grade off the good gate. He gets the chance to throw it down here.

TIZ A SIZZLER (7) shoots for the hat-trick but steps up in class out of the midweeks and comes up with the outside paint to make it even tougher. Claiming a new career PB last start, he is in the mix.

OUR ACTION MAN (10) has been tucked away on the poles at his past two starts and been searching for gaps to chime in. Placed in both those contests, he can be joining in again here.

SELECTIONS: MR MCLAREN (5), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1), TIZ A SIZZLER (7), OUR ACTION MAN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MR MCLAREN (5) to win

RACE THREE

Beaten by second line gates at his past two starts where he has been unable to find the space to chime in, BEACH VILLA (4) should relish the chance to get back off the front line. 1m from RED RIGHT HAND last start, he was 4m from CAPTAIN SHUFFLES two back. He can get forward and control this.

PROMISING (1) saw plenty of the outside fence at Redcliffe last start when he was three-wide the trip in a 70Heat claimed by BIG SHADOW in slick time. A gritty 3rd behind FAST TRACKER here three starts back, he maps for the easy trip in behind the action and can issue a closing challenge.

BIG SKEWY (9) cannot snare a marble and lands another tough one here. His effort last start from gate 7 was full of merit and if able to follow through to be handy enough, is up to grabbing a minor.

JAMES CAGNEY (3) tackled the 4YO Championship last week and taken off the arm was facing the impossible with a sub 54 closing half from the front. A winner at his previous five, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: BEACH VILLA (4), PROMISING (1), BIG SKEWY (9), JAMES CAGNEY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH VILLA (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Not much has been in the favour of CHAP DADDY (10) since arriving in Qld with some tough gates going against him. Wide off the track when trying to eat into the margin as BIG SHADOW was carving it out in front last time, he was asked to sit parked in the J C McMullen. He will need some luck from the gate but can arrive.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (7) was dealt a luckless trip last start at Redcliffe in the heat of this Series and was carted out of play behind a tiring runner. Sent out in red figures two starts back on this deck at this trip, he was strong to the line wide out when 3m adrift of DARK TERROR. He is right in this.

MISTER REACTOR (2) claimed the cash via the passing lane last time out at Redcliffe in defeating the in-form ROCK SUPREME. With arm hustle, he can be forward to feature here.

B MAC C (8) is effective when snookered and saved for one shot and he maps for that set up here. Midfield behind MAGICAL MAYA last start, he will be searching for the gap to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: CHAP DADDY (10), BETTERTHANAROCKET (7), MISTER REACTOR (2), B MAC C (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHAP DADDY (10) each-way

RACE FIVE

Claiming the J C McMullen from this same gate when securing the perfect trip in behind the speed, WHATA ROLLER (1) can look to rinse and repeat for this 70Final. At his best when saved for the last shot at them, he just needs to release the runner that will get him to the lane with momentum.

BIG SHADOW (6) claimed his heat of this Series at Redcliffe in smart fashion when fired off the arm from gate 5 and taking full control out in front. Running them off their legs in a slick 1.54.7 trip around The Triangle, he faces a tough gate but can get forward to throw down his challenge.

AMAMI (2) has worked through a slump and has hit his straps in recent attempts and lines up here after completing a hat-trick of victories. Flexing first over with his heat win, he is right in the fight.

MIDNIGHT CALM (8) was angled to the poles from gate 9 last start for the three-peg trip and grabbed the bronze behind AMAMI. He looks to get a similar trip here and will be probing again.

SELECTIONS: WHATA ROLLER (1), BIG SHADOW (6), AMAMI (2), MIDNIGHT CALM (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This looks an open second division qualifier where BIDE OUR TIME (2) can look to break his Qld duck from the gate. A wide gate last start at Redcliffe did not help his chances and the start prior he was in a much tougher contest than what he meets here. He can be close enough to pinch it.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1) set an even tempo out in front last start at Redcliffe but was unable to see it out, fading into the bronze position. With good early speed, he looks the leader and if able to pinch a panel, he can give them something to gun down.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (9) made some nice metres in the closing stages last start at Redcliffe which followed a half-neck 2nd behind the in-form ROCK SUPREME. With the right trip he can be chiming in.

ETERNAL GOLD (8) fired out from gate 2 last start to look for an all the way victory when holding on for the silver behind BACK TO BETOOTA. With the economical trip, he can be searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: BIDE OUR TIME (2), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (9), ETERNAL GOLD (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  BIDE OUR TIME (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

A smart line up of 2YOs to do battle here where last start feature winner BALBOA ROCK (8) will be hoping a mapping duplication of his last start. Darting up the passing lane from this same gate for that victory, he will be sweating on hitting the lane with the momentum to do it all again.

DELE ROW (1) has been runner-up at each of his past two starts, the latest when charging home wide off the track to grab the silver behind BALBOA ROCK. Leading them up from gate 5 in the heat of that APG Series, he was just a head from the winner BRONSKI ZULU. He has the gate to throw it down.

COSMIC FLYER (5) has won two of his three starts and finished 3rd behind the in-form ZOOM PARTY at his other start. Very green but still able to rattle home to score last start, he steps up here but looks to have ability.

RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7) has no favours from the outside paint as she returns from a spell, Faced with the outside second line last start in the Breeders Final, she was game in holding 3rd. With a smart trial to prepare, she can

SELECTIONS: BALBOA ROCK (8), DELE ROW (1), COSMIC FLYER (5), RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE EIGHT

The first of two mare’s qualifiers where both look open affairs. Despite the second line MAGICAL MAYA (10) might get the right trip to arrive here. Pressing on with it at Redcliffe last start from gate 2, she set a new class record for 4YO mares with her 1.56.7 run for the 2040 trip. She can arrive.

MACARENA MADI (5) has been hitting some nice areas in recent starts, the latest when leading throughout from gate 1 at Redcliffe. The wider gate makes it a little tougher and presents an awkward map but with two wins in her past three, she can issue a challenge.

SOVIET STUNNER (9) made her first appearance in Qld two starts back a winning one when taking control from gate 4. A beaten fav last start, she tackles her own sex here and looks up to the task.

CUSTOM NIKE (3) has not been able to find the level she reached last campaign, but comes up with the gate here to look for the front and turn her fortunes around.

SELECTIONS: MAGICAL MAYA (10), MACARENA MADI (5), SOVIET STUNNER (9), CUSTOM NIKE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGICAL MAYA (10) to win

RACE NINE

The second of the mare’s events where the 3YO filly PROMISELAND (7) can look to defy the gate. Finding the 1x1 trail in the Qld Oaks last start, she eased wider at the 400 but could not go on with it. Just 3m away in the South East Oaks, she can press forward to open her Qld account.

ARENA QUEEN (5) eased from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start to settle back in the pack and was making nice metres over the closing stages to grab the bronze. Gate 6 and a strong tempo two starts back as AMAMI arrived, a return to mare’s only grade looks ideal.

SHEREACTS (3) continued her smart record at Marburg with a last start victory when resuming from a spell. With good arm hustle, she has the gate to settle handy and feature in the finish.

MISS DAYTONA (8) has placed in two of her past three starts but will need a slice of luck from this alley in finding open space. If the gap opens, she can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: PROMISELAND (7), ARENA QUEEN (5), SHEREACTS (3), MISS DAYTONA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PROMISELAND (7) to win

RACE TEN

Proving to be enigmatic and a handful for connections, CALL ME TROUBLE (7) made a mess of the start last week out of the mobile in the G1 Trotters Cup, ending his chances. A big winner in the first round of the DJA off this same handicap, the small field looks ideal for him to capitalise.

ZEALOUS SPUR (5) claimed a DJA heat four starts back and then went to the final and went within 2m of the winner in the Final. Placed in both midweek starts since that final, he was off the 20m tape and been just behind FUNNY FACE in each. From 10m, he looms large in this line up.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (1) put it all together here on Tuesday and overcame the 30m tape to claim his first Qld victory. Placed in both prior starts, this is a big step up but off the front tape can feature.

SCRUFFY DOOLAN (3) struck trouble last start which ended his chances. Only 7m from the winner ALDEBARAN MISTY in a DJA heat the start prior, his numbers may not look great, but he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TROUBLE (7), ZEALOUS SPUR (5), MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (1), SCRUFFY DOOLAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
