The Queensland harness racing community is saddened to learn of the passing of long-time harness participant Cheryl Gordon earlier this week.
Cheryl and her partner Edd Bailey bred, owned and trained the talented 15-time winner Proby One who was by their stallion Sunshine Beach, a successful sire of 11 individual winners after his impressive 20-win career for Cheryl and Edd.
Cheryl’s early involvement in harness racing included working for Ross and Noel Croghan, as well as a stable foreperson for Ron McCall.
A remembrance gathering will be held at the Woodford Golf Club on Monday, August 14 from 11am. All are welcome.
