RACE ONE
Tackling open company last start and copping an awkward draw, ALTA REVELRY (7) went to the line looking for a gap that never eventuated. Strong to the line over the closing stages here two starts back from this same gate behind FUTURE ASSURED, he is going well enough to cash in. LORD ZARIAS (4) was returning from a spell here last week when well supported from gate 1 in the open event. Holding the pocket trail, he was following throughout to hold 2nd behind the dictating winner DEUS EX. Tightened from that effort, he can throw it down here. MISS MUCHO (1) found the spot three back on the inside from gate 3 last start and was not helped by a flat tyre. Just 5m from the winner, she has not been far away of late with the gate a big plus. TAIRLAW TOLL (2) will strip fitter from his latest start when resuming from a freshen. Settled in the running line from a second line gate, he can settle handy from this gate to feature. SELECTIONS: ALTA REVELRY (7), LORD ZARIAS (4), MISS MUCHO (1), TAIRLAW TOLL (2) SUGGESTED BET: ALTA REVELRY (7) to win
RACE TWO Chasing a hat-trick of victories here two runs back, the lack of speed out of the machine saw BIG SKEWY (2) shuffled back and snookered in the run from gate 1. Bouncing back at Redcliffe last start with a smart win, gate 2 is a better set up and he can keep pressing ahead to stake his claim. RED RIGHT HAND (6) held the 1x1 trail from the second line alley here last week and was the best of the out wide chasers to grab the silver as MELTON BEACH darted through on the passing lane. Attacking the line strongly the start prior when 3rd, he can be winding up late to challenge again. ELOUISA DALE (12) was sent forward in the early stages from a second line gate here two starts back, taking control and seeing it out. Slammed with the ODM embargo last start, she can join in. NOBLE TRICK (11) found the ideal set up here last week after finding the front early and then receiving cover. Making the passing lane shot a winning one, a cart home will help here. SELECTIONS: BIG SKEWY (2), RED RIGHT HAND (6), ELOUISA DALE (12), NOBLE TRICK (11) SUGGESTED BET: BIG SKEWY (2) to win
RACE THREE Tempo and map will be the key to the chances of a few in this, none more so than ROCK NIEN (8) who will be sweating on the pole marker burrowing through. Asked to sit parked last start and grinding hard when 5m away, he has been used early at both prior starts. Stalking here should suit. SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (2) pressed on with it in the early stages last start and found the front before taking cover. Trying to go with them in the closing stages when 8m astern of the winner ALTA MAGACIAN, he was a tidy 3rd to THE GROGFATHER three back. He can issue a challenge in this. DANIEL BOOM (1) was heavily supported last start but when forced to park out, faded in the latter stages to finish rearward. With good speed off the arm, he gets his chance in this line up. CLASSICMAJOR (9) has some less than inspiring figure form against his name, but some tough gates have made it a tough ask in recent outings. With fence options available, he can feature. SELECTIONS: ROCK NIEN (8), SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (2), DANIEL BOOM (1), CLASSICMAJOR (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9
RACE FOUR
With a great record from behind the tapes which includes five wins, HOT AND TREACHEROUS (8) closed out smartly to grab 3rd in the Blacks A Fake two runs back. Kept fresh, he owned the best closing splits in the Len Smith mile last start and should be able to flex his power here. L L COOL J (9) excels under these conditions and will be aided by the added fitness from his last appearance when first up from a let up. Sitting parked at the mile, he did it the tough way and kept giving to the wire when 3rd to DEUS EX. He is right in the frame to issue the challenge here. POCKET THE CASH (1) was a slick winner first up in Qld from gate 7 when powering up early to get across and see it out. Tempo was against him last start, with his tape manners the big query here. ITS MR CLOONEY (5) found the trail two starts back under these conditions when sent to the post as fav. Finishing 7m from the winner TIZ A SIZZLER, he has podium claims with a safe start. SELECTIONS: HOT AND TREACHEROUS (8), L L COOL J (9), POCKET THE CASH (1), ITS MR CLOONEY (5) SUGGESTED BET: HOT AND TREACHEROUS (8) to win
RACE FIVE Absolutely knocking on the door in recent weeks, MIGHT AS WELL (5) looks to get her chance once again. Collared in the closing strides last start when beaten a head, she was closing hard two starts back after being snookered in the run, grabbing 2nd to MAGICAL MAYA. This looks within reach. SHEZ NOTORIOUS (8) has been in super form and last week made the most of her gate speed to fire out from 5 and take them all the way. Sandwiched between a pair of wins in her past three starts is a gritty 3rd where she sat parked and was just 1m away. She will be probing here to issue a challenge. OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT (10) completed a hat-trick of victories here last week, biding her time in the trail and then striking up the passing lane. Chasing in all three wins, she can close late again here. SCOTTS RAIN (3) was shuffled to three back in the run from inside the second line here last week and was rattling in the stretch to run the winner to a neck. She can feature once again. SELECTIONS: MIGHT AS WELL (5), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (8), OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT (10), SCOTTS RAIN (3) SUGGESTED BET: MIGHT AS WELL (5) to win
RACE SIX The open class trotting ranks are providing some great racing and this looks another great event where all the power will need to overcome wide, and second line draws. ADELLE (11) was fresh up from the Qld Trotters Cup last time out when making strong ground after coming from a 30m impost. A return to the mobile conditions is a huge bonus. FUNNY FACE (9) has hit the board in her past eight outings, the latest when trying to reel in the leader and coming up just a half-head short of the prize. Doing her share of work when holding 3rd behind MAJESTIC LAVROS, the gate is not ideal but she is a model of consistency and can challenge. MAJESTIC LAVROS (8) was super impressive at his first appearance since crossing the Tasman when sent straight to the front and running a slick last half to see it out. The gate makes it a tough repeat. SUGARINSPICE (6) threw her chances away with an error last start after moving up stylishly to get to the wheel of the leader. Back to a front line gate is a huge plus for her chances to go with them. SELECTIONS: ADELLE (11), FUNNY FACE (9), MAJESTIC LAVROS (8), SUGARINSPICE (6) SUGGESTED BET: ADELLE (11) to win
RACE SEVEN First up in Qld last time out when tackling a 70Heat at Redcliffe, ROSBERG (9) was wide off the track the last lap and was strong to the line when holing 3rd behind BIG SKEWY. Just 5m away in that contest where not much was in his favour, he can build off the first up effort. GOTTA GO MILKING (1) holds the keys to this contest, with his ability to burrow through and take up the running. Placed in four successive starts prior to his latest outing, he was not that far from the winner AMAMI after settling in the running line from gate 5. A gritty 2nd two back, he is up to this. ART ON FIRE (8) was a winner from the pocket trail here three starts back, taking his shot and claiming a PB victory. Not suited at the 2138 last start, the gate is a huge help in this set up. PRINCE JOY (10) was strong to the line last start when grabbing the bronze behind SO AM I. Not too far from the handy LAST TIME JOE two starts back, he can be closing hard to chime in again. SELECTIONS: ROSBERG (9), GOTTA GO MILKING (1), ART ON FIRE (8), PRINCE JOY (10) SUGGESTED BET: ROSBERG (9) to win
RACE EIGHT Sent forward to be put on the engine soon after the start from gate 7 last week, WILD IMAGINATION (10) pinched a break as they approached the home turn but was unable to see it out when nabbed up the passing lane. Not suited when parked the start prior, she can descend on them. HOLI STARZZZ (6) arrives in Qld and will be first up for the Chantal Turpin stable. Last seen at Shepparton in mid-August, she has good speed off the arm and with not a great deal of speed to the inside, Leader Peter might fizz it up from the get go to throw down the challenge. DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (3) was a winner from behind the tapes at Redcliffe three starts back and then lining up from the mobile mile here was beaten by a wide gate. Settling handy can see her feature. MISS DAYTONA (9) has not been too far away in recent starts, the latest when asked to sit parked from gate 5 when finishing 6m astern of the winner MADAMOISELLE JUJON. The gate stings. SELECTIONS: WILD IMAGINATION (10), HOLI STARZZZ (6), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (3), MISS DAYTONA (9) SUGGESTED BET: WILD IMAGINATION (10) to win
RACE NINE After landing a second line gate in 6 of her past 7 starts, ALEXIA ROSE (6) can defy the still potentially bad alley by pressing the button in the early stages. Caught wide searching for position last start, she is at her best when up near the action and the set up should suit that pattern. SHEZA CRACKER (1) faces a class rise to tackle this mare’s qualifier following her last start when making some nice closing metres from the outside second line. Chasing a hat-trick of victories in that contest, the gate is a bonus to her challenging chances here. NO MOTIVE (8) showed improvement last start when darting through on the passing lane to grab the bronze. Likely to be buried again, she can build off that to chase some more minor money. GOLDIES A DELIGHT (9) settled in the running line last week but could not get warm over the closing stages as OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT shot through to score. With the right trail, she can be chiming in. SELECTIONS: ALEXIA ROSE (6), SHEZA CRACKER (1), NO MOTIVE (8), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (9) SUGGESTED BET: ALEXIA ROSE (6) to win
