RACE ONE
THUNDAMENTAL (1) blazed off the arm last start from gate 6 to find the front and in the stretch was only collared in the closing stages at the end of the 2040 trip. Not too far from the winner ALTA MAGACIAN three runs back, a return to the sprint tip from the tight alley can see him capitalise. SISTA BLISS (4) sat in the trail here last start and had track to make a challenge but could not reel in the leader and winner OUR UNCLE NEV. Striking trouble two starts back behind CAPTAIN OF SPEED, she can settle handy and look to get her preparation into a winning gear. LAST CALL (7) eased from gate 5 last start and from deep field charged home in the closing stages to record a smart win. Tucked away with a soft trip here, she will be probing for the gaps. SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (9) has been meeting slightly stronger opposition than he will square off against here. Luckless last start when repelled for the chair and forced to retreat, he is right in the mix. RACE TWO ROCK NIEN (3) faced this same gate last start and was sent forward, finding the front and trying to fight them off, finished 3m astern of the winner LOUS DREAM. Luckless two starts back when buried in the run as BETTERTHANAROCKET arrived, he can press forward to stake his claim again. FRANCO MACHO (1) has faced the starter twice since returning from a spell and been drawn on the second line on both occasions. Wide off the track last start when closing in nice order behind ALWAYS SMOKIN over the 2138. Winless in 8 attempts this season, he finds conditions to challenge. WINDY HILL WALLY (7) was buried in the run last start over the AP 2138 trip after starting from inside the second line. Strong to the line two starts back, a soft trip here can see him feature. LETTERKENNY BOY (8) was not that far from them last start when tackling a 70Final as BIG SKEWY controlled the speed. Winner or runner-up at his previous four, he has podium claims here. SELECTIONS: ROCK NIEN (3), FRANCO MACHO (1), WINDY HILL WALLY (7), LETTERKENNY BOY (8) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8
RACE THREE STOMPEM (7) has hit the board at four of his past five starts. Holding early before releasing for the trail over the AP 2138 two starts back when a 7m 2nd to ALWAYS SMOKIN, he was just a neck away last start. Needing some factors in his favour, getting the lane with momentum will be key. LITTLE CHANGE (9) overcame gate 5 last start when retreating in the early stages to settle rearward before powering home over the top of them to claim his 21st victory on this deck. 3rd from this gate three runs back, he has early mapping options and can be charging hard to challenge in the stretch. GLENELDI COMMANDER (4) was a tough winner at Marburg two starts back from outside the second line when sent to sit parked and proved too strong. Grabbed late last start, he has claims. THERESACHANCE (1) faded last start to finish at the rear after securing this same gate and releasing the speed. 4m from EURO BEAT when 3rd two back from inside the second line, he can bounce back. SELECTIONS: STOMPEM (7), LITTLE CHANGE (9), GLENELDI COMMANDER (4), THERESACHANCE (1) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FOUR
HEY MISTER TAYLOR (8) was placed again last start as he continues to find a 2023 victory elusive. Making late metres when runner-up to subsequent winner YOUNG CONQUEROR two starts back, he was sent around them to sit parked last start when a grinding 3rd. Tempo will be his friend here. TOMMY BLIGH (2) has been hitting good areas in recent weeks and lines up here after claiming a smart win from gate 5 when darting across to take them all the way. Beaten a pimple at this trip three starts back when trying to take them all the way, he can dart across and be gripping on. OYSTER STRIDE (1) was a winner here four runs back when taking control in front and seeing them off to claim a 5m margin. Unplaced in all three since, he has the gate for an improved return. FEELIN FLIRTY (7) was chasing a hat-trick of victories at Marburg two runs back when rattling late to be just a half-neck from the winner. Strong to the line last start from gate 6, he will be probing. SELECTIONS: HEY MISTER TAYLOR (8), TOMMY BLIGH (2), OYSTER STRIDE (1), FEELIN FLIRTY (7) SUGGESTED BET: HEY MISTER TAYLOR (8) to win
RACE FIVE BERTILS FIREFOX (9) ended his last campaign when runner-up over the sprint trip and since resuming has won twice and placed twice from four attempts. Settled in the 1x1 trail last start, he had the closing speed to arrive in the last strides and with the right tempo can look to repeat. FIVE STAR GEM (3) darted across from this same gate over this trip two starts back and from the front was never headed. Buried in the run last start when using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind BERTILS FIREFOX, he can get handy again here to issue the challenge. SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (2) found the 1x1 trail from a second line gate last start and with the ideal trip had the speed to descend on them and claim a 5m margin. The gates gives her the chance of a repeat. ULTIMATE CHANCE (1) has been runner-up at her past three in succession, the latest when trying to see it out from gate 4. Grabbed in the last stride on that occasion, she has the gate and options. SELECTIONS: BERTILS FIREFOX (9), FIVE STAR GEM (3), SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (2), ULTIMATE CHANCE (1) SUGGESTED BET: BERTILS FIREFOX (9) each-way
RACE SIX MIGHTY GEORGE (1) found the ideal conditions here last start where he secured running line cover from gate 4 and had the closing speed to claim victory. Strong to the line behind APHRODITE in both prior AP outings, he lands all the options from this gate to capitalise. GABBYS IDEAL (2) overcame a second line gate here three runs back when descending on them in the closing stages to secure a 2m margin. Burrowing through to lead from the inside gate last start, she was able to see it out from the front with 3m to spare. The gate gives her challenging chances. HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (8) was sent around them from outside the second line to sit parked here last week and after the tough trip, was 3m astern of the winner GABBYS IDEAL. He can place again. DEVOUGED (6) pressed forward from this same gate last start to sit parked before receiving cover to finish 8m from GABBYS IDEAL. Runner-up in both previous outings, the wide gate makes it an ask. RACE SEVEN SOMEONES WATCHING (2) was asked to hang tough when parked last start and after the tough trip, faded in the closing stages. Runner-up to ALWAYS IDLE two starts back, he can look to fire some early bullets here and up close to the speed will get a chance to breakthrough. SKYBEAU (4) is a 3YO on debut for Donny Smith by his former G1 winner A Good Chance. Doing everything right in a recent qualifying trial, he was strong to the line without being taken off a helmet and finds a suitable maiden to challenge first up. TUFFY (1) has had 51 previous attempts to get on the board, with his latest when finishing midfield behind TOBEFAIRTOYOU. Snagged back from a wide gate the start prior, he has the gate to feature. TAKE COURAGE (5) found the 1x1 trail last time out and was trying to rally late when just out of the money behind ALWAYS IDLE. Placed in both prior attempts, the gate does her no favours here. SELECTIONS: SOMEONES WATCHING (2), SKYBEAU (4), TUFFY (1), TAKE COURAGE (5) SUGGESTED BET: SOMEONES WATCHING (2) to win
RACE EIGHT TELL ME THIS (9) started from inside the second line last start and was snookered in the run and never had a crack at them. Making ground wide off the track the start prior when 5m from the winner, he comes up with another tough gate but in an open race it is within reach. COBBLER LANE (2) showed early hustle last time out and from the trail was runner-up behind SAMMYS SECRET. Fading after a tough trip when parked at the AP 2138 the start prior, he can get forward here to issue a challenge. TORQUE IN CONTROL (5) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest from inside the second line when eased off the poles in the middle stages. The wide gate makes it a tough ask. BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) will require a slice of luck at some point from this alley as he looks in danger of being buried in the run. Beaten a half-head last start as the fav, he will be probing. SELECTIONS: TELL ME THIS (9), COBBLER LANE (2), TORQUE IN CONTROL (5), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE NINE ALWAYS IDLE (3) was second up from a spell last time out when faced with the inside second line. DONT FEAR FOR ME (2) faced gate 5 last start and was working wide off the track when still giving on the wire to finish with the silver behind ONE CHAIN ROAD. With good hustle off the arm, he can force the issue in the early stages to throw it down. OUR ULTIMATE RUBY (1) was runner-up in successive runs, beaten a head behind DELIGHT OF RANI four runs back and then chasing MADAME WEST at her next start. A soft trip should suit her chances. SHE DAZZLES (4) has yet to hit the board in three runs back from a spell, the latest when chasing home behind TOMMY BLIGH. A return to this grade is a huge benefit and she is right in the fight. SELECTIONS: ALWAYS IDLE (3), DONT FEAR FOR ME (2), OUR ULTIMATE RUBY (1), SHE DAZZLES (4) SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS IDLE (3) to win
