RACE ONE

GIDUP CAPTAIN (2) forced the issue here two starts back to take control and from the front was trying to grip on, ultimately fading to a 2m 3rd. Overcoming gate 6 to score a gritty win last time out, he lands the gate to get forward and chase a repeat win.

MULLUM BOY (3) features in a stable change to join the Michael Nutley barn. Struggling to find his best in recent starts, he was not that far from BEEF CITY BLAZE last start. A wide gate was his undoing over the AP mile two starts back and settling closer in this line up can see him challenge.

COCONUT CUTIE (4) eased from gate 5 here two starts back before powering home in the closing stages to grab a smart win. Runner-up last start, she can be making a late raid again here.

SUBTLE CHAY (5) has been a winner in two of his past three starts and only 1m off the prize in the other. Too tough for them last start at Marburg, he can press forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: GIDUP CAPTAIN (2), MULLUM BOY (3), COCONUT CUTIE (4), SUBTLE CHAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GIDUP CAPTAIN (2) to win

RACE THREE

CHIEF JUJON (9)
settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2 last start and when asked to go, was able to sprint up and throw down a strong challenge to arrive for victory. With added benefit from that run where he was third up from a spell, he finds opponents no harder than his last start.

MALIBU DREAM (5) fired off the arm to take control and set the tempo from gate 4 last start and was trying to fight them off when swamped late. Finishing a head from the winner, she took them all the way here three runs back and can fire out again here to throw it down.

AROONA (1) found the pocket trail last start but could not go on with it over the latter stages to finish midfield behind SKIPPERS SWAN SONG. Another soft trip can see him be thereabouts.

THREE PARTS GREY (4) features in a stable switch to join the Mitchell Dawson team. Making an error when midfield last start behind FEELIN FLIRTY, she can feature first up for the new barn.

SELECTIONS: CHIEF JUJON (9), MALIBU DREAM (5), AROONA (1), THREE PARTS GREY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CHIEF JUJON (9) to win

RACE FOUR

MAJOR MISCHIEF (1) has faced wide gates at his past two starts following an error three runs back that saw him struck with the ODM embargo. Sent to sit parked two starts back over the middle trip, he gets his chance to burrow through and if he can pinch a panel or two, can give plenty of cheek.

CALL ME TRISH (7) eased from the wide gate last start to settle at the rear before trying to launch a closing raid. Picking a few off to grab the bronze when 8m from the winner, she will be sweating on the pole marker looking to go all the way and under that scenario, she can be ready to strike.

DIPPED IN SILVER (9) was midfield last start when sliding across from gate 5 to find the 1x1 trail. Trying to make late metres at the end of the 2040 here two back when 4th, he can feature in this.

MAN OF ACTION (6) was a Marburg winner from outside the second line two starts back when sent to sit parked and bale to grind out the victory. Runner-up here last start from this gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISCHIEF (1), CALL ME TRISH (7), DIPPED IN SILVER (9), MAN OF ACTION (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MISCHIEF (1) win/place

RACE FIVE

JAKKI MUN (6)
settled in the running line here two starts back and was making a late rally to get within 3m of the winner. Just fading in the closing stages last start over the AP 2138, he should appreciate a return to The Triangle in this company and despite the gate is up to the task.

PURPLE SHADES (3) fired out from gate 4 here two starts back to take control and from the front was able to see it out. Midfield last start after being exposed in the early stages, he can settle handy enough to issue a challenge in an open contest.

HOLME BOY (7) will strip fitter from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell and not that far from the winner TOMMY BLIGH. Hitting the passing lane with momentum will be key.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (5) faced a second line gate at Marburg and was making a late raid wide out to get within a half-neck of the winner. A beaten fav last start, the gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: JAKKI MUN (6), PURPLE SHADES (3), HOLME BOY (7), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JAKKI MUN (6) to win

RACE SIX

IDEAL TIGER (7)
was locked away three back on the inside last time out from gate 1 and was chased up as were the majority of those trying to reel in the leader and winner GELDOF. Buried away the start prior, if he can hold the back of the likely leader, he might just have the zip to arrive.

LOUIE THE PUNTER (5) tackled a qualifier over the 2138 last start and did not get the best passage which saw him finish at the rear. Trying to make a late play when midfield to MISTER FONZI the start prior, the wide gate makes it a tough ask, but some tempo will aid the cause.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (3) had the inside gate over the AP mile last start and released to the winner FRANKIE FEROCIOUS. Holding on to be 8m in arrears, he was runner-up his previous two and has claims again.

MOUNT HERCULES (8) will have the early mapping options from this gate and secure an economical trip. With a handy record here on The Triangle, he can be chiming in for a minor.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (7), LOUIE THE PUNTER (5), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (3), MOUNT HERCULES (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

HOIHO (9)
was chasing a hat-trick last start when striking trouble and his chances expired. Powering home over the top of them from the second line two starts back, he was too strong despite the outside of the front three back. There looks the right tempo, and the middle trip should suit.

PRETTY GOOD REASON (1) will be third up from a break and has good hustle out of the machine. Finishing 4m from the winner BERTILS FIREFOX last start after facing a second line gate, she steps out to the 2040 for the first time but has the options from the gate to challenge.

FOVEAUX MAJOR (7) was taken back in the early stages last start to secure position and was soon at the tail and could not get warm. A passing lane winner from three poles here four runs back, he maps for a similar journey.

FOR NO REASON (2) has the single win from nine attempts at a middle trip and lines up here after taking them all the way last time out. With the speed to look for the front, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: HOIHO (9), PRETTY GOOD REASON (1), FOVEAUX MAJOR (7), FOR NO REASON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HOIHO (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4)
had an early dip over at HQ last start and was repelled thorough a 27.1 opener, with the early burn taking its toll. Taking the trail two back when finishing midfield to SWEET GEORGIA BROWN, he held them off here three back and rifling out can look to dictate.

FALCONS (6) is afforded no favours form the outside paint, but if able to find the right trail, this race would certainly be within reach. Asked to grind it out first over last start, he held on for the silver behind the easy winner THE GROGFATHER. Grabbing 2nd three runs back, he can be challenging.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (7) eased from gate 4 to settle rearward over the AP mile two starts back before rattling home in the closing stages to be a nose hair short of victory. With a smart record on this deck, he will be probing.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2) was trying to see it out from the front here two starts back when gabbed late to be a neck from the winner. Releasing from gate 1 last start, he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), FALCONS (6), LITTLELIONELJAMES (7), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) to win
