RACE ONE
NIGHT NINJA (6) has been to the track on four occasions since resuming from a spell, the latest on this deck from gate 5. Spearing across and looking to see it out, he was collared in the closing stages to finish with the silver, 3m astern of the winner. Despite the outside paint, he looks up to this. LAZY BLAZE (2) has had just the solitary victory this season and his recent numbers are nothing to get excited by. However, this is an open contest and if he can cross to the poles cheaply, he finds the right opposition to issue a challenge. TODAYS HERO (9) could have finished closer with a little more luck at his last appearance. Fresh up on that occasion, he can get the right cart home to feature in this line up. ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) eased form gate 4 last start to settle rearward and never really warmed up thereafter. Locked away two starts back, settling closer will aid his chances. SELECTIONS: NIGHT NINJA (6), LAZY BLAZE (2), TODAYS HERO (9), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) SUGGESTED BET: NIGHT NINJA (6) to win
RACE TWO RISKY BUZINESS (4) settled in the running line back in the pack from the inside second line last time out and was making some closing metres to just miss the podium. Drawn the second line at his past three in succession, a return to the front line is a big plus and he can stake a claim. WHATA CHALLENGE (8) has been sparingly raced but has hit the board in three of his past five appearances. Making late ground to grab 3rd last time out from a second line gate, he can secure the right trail in the early stages to be issuing a closing challenge here. FLOORLESS (9) overcame gate 6 here last start when sent forward to sit parked. Grinding it out, she proved too strong, pulling clear to claim an 11m margin. The gate hurts but she cannot be ignored. JANG PEL (3) was asked to sit parked last start and after a tough trip faded over the closing stages. Darting up the passing lane over the AP mile two back when 2m away, he has podium claims here. SELECTIONS: RISKY BUZINESS (4), WHATA CHALLENGE (8), FLOORLESS (9), JANG PEL (3) SUGGESTED BET: RISKY BUZINESS (4) to win
RACE THREE JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint for this contest but should appreciate a return to this grade. A winner when starting deep in the red here five starts back, he tackled much tougher company over the AP mile last start. He can defy the gate to cash in. DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (8) was sent around the field in the middle stages last start and was able to grab the front but then could not repel the closing challenge of FLOORLESS when holding on for the silver. Beaten by a wide gate two starts back, he can look to mount some form of challenge. CIRCLE LINE (5) was racing in consistent fashion but has just tapered somewhat in recent appearances. Not too far away here four runs back, he finds conditions for a sharper return. TAKIDAH (3) led early from gate 1 before taking cover last start and then battled on for the bronze behind FLOORLESS. That made it two placings in her past two starts here and she can add another. SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (8), CIRCLE LINE (5), TAKIDAH (3) SUGGESTED BET: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6) to win
RACE FOUR
ON DA NOD (9) has had three runs back from a spell and been placed in all three from tough gates. With no favours again with the wide gate, he closed out behind the smart filly TOBEFAIRTOYOU for the silver. Just 1m from the winner two starts back, he looks to get his chance. CRADOCK (7) resumes from a spell without a public trial. Last seen back in May when beaten by a wide gate, it was only a one run campaign, his previous run back in his 2YO term, shut down after making an error in the run. A soft trip first up looks ideal. ENZED FLYER (1) eased from gate 5 last start and was best of the rest behind the big winner GLENLEA BELLA. Under 2m from the winner ART OF ROCK two starts back, the gate is a big plus. LADY ANTHEIA (8) was exposed early before receiving cover last start when holding on for the bronze behind TOBEFAIRTOYOU. Runner-up in both prior starts she can grab a minor here. SELECTIONS: ON DA NOD (9), CRADOCK (7), ENZED FLYER (1), LADY ANTHEIA (8) SUGGESTED BET: ON DA NOD (9) to win
RACE FIVE BETTING BARON (2) received running line cover last start but then did not really get warm over the closing stages. Angled to the inside from gate 9 two starts back, he chased hard behind CHIEF JUJON. With an improved gate, he finds conditions to take his shot. SCHEU CREEK (8) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell. Sent around them in the early stages last start to sit parked, he peaked in the closing stages to miss the money. With the right trail in the early stages, he can throw it down here. SHADYS DELIGHT (7) will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley but if the gap arrives in time, he can be a player. A Marburg winner three starts back, he will be probing for the openings. MAJOR SLIP UP (6) held the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and darting up the passing lane grabbed a 3m winning margin. The wide gate makes it tough to repeat. SELECTIONS: BETTING BARON (2), SCHEU CREEK (8), SHADYS DELIGHT (7), MAJOR SLIP UP (6) SUGGESTED BET: BETTING BARON (2) to win
RACE SIX JAY TEE TYRON (1) covered plenty of the Albion Park oval last start when wide off the track as ILLAVABUBBLES proved too strong. Finding the speed a little too slippery the start prior behind subsequent winner CAPTAIN OF SPEED, he secures the right gate to dictate. MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (9) should appreciate the drop in grade to this contest after a last start 3rd. Eased from gate 6 over the AP 2138 in that contest, he could have been closer with a clearer path as SPORTING RAGE took the victory. Luckless two starts back, he can issue the challenge. LORD OF MISRULE (6) has the ODM embargo after getting it all wrong last start from outside the front line over the AP mile. Grabbing 3rd behind CAPTAIN OF SPEED two starts back, he is right in this. COPY WRITER (8) eased from gate 5 last start and from deep field never warmed up over the 2040m trip. Chasing home for the bronze behind BONNIES CAM two starts back, she has podium claims. SELECTIONS: JAY TEE TYRON (1), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (9), LORD OF MISRULE (6), COPY WRITER (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN BATED BREATH (3) was asked to sit parked last start and after the tough trip wilted over the closing stages. Trying to fight on from the same spot outside the leader two starts back when 4m astern of the winner after starting in red figures, she can force the issue here and look to see it out. BATMAN BART (9) was sent around them from the second line here last time out and after working hard in the run, faded late in the stretch to miss the money. Holding on for the bronze at Marburg two starts back, he can get around them to issue a challenge. DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1) can secure the economical trip in behind the speed and be ready to make a passing lane play. Just a neck from victory two starts back, the map aids her chances. GETALOADATHISBRO (6) receives no favours from the outside paint here. A last start winner when sent to the front from gate 4 and pulling clear to a 10m margin, he can be thereabouts. SELECTIONS: BATED BREATH (3), BATMAN BART (9), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1), GETALOADATHISBRO (6) SUGGESTED BET: BATED BREATH (3) to win
RACE EIGHT ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1) has struggled to be at her best this preparation, finishing nearer the rear in four runs since returning from a spell. Fading last start at the 2138 after having an early look, the start prior she was never up on the gate. This is her chance to get the campaign back on track. SUNNY COVE (4) will be second up from a spell, but fresh up here after returning back on Sept 20. Buried away from the inside second line in that contest, he can settle closer to the action here and look to issue a challenge. HES SWEET (3) was heavily supported last start over the AP mile from gate 1 where he burrowed through to keep them wide. Unable to see it out to finish rearward, he can be sharper in this. WOODLEA DIEGO (9) made a mess of it in the early stages last start from behind the tapes and never featured thereafter. Midfield behind LITTLE CHANGE the start prior, he can be joining in here. SELECTIONS: ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1), SUNNY COVE (4), HES SWEET (3), WOODLEA DIEGO (9) SUGGESTED BET:
