RACE ONE
ONLYSBEST (2) was too tough last start when having an early dip that was repelled, sitting parked thereafter and packing too much starch to hold on for a narrow victory. He can look to work to the front here and take them all the way. FORGIVE ME (1) snares the map to tuck in behind the speed and be ready for the gaps. A gritty winner at HQ three runs back when sitting parked in a career PB at the mile, she was buried here last start and never found the space. From this gate she will throw it down. DIEGO DELGADO (7) was a winner two starts back when finding the 1x1 trail from gate 6 and then owning the closing speed to take a 5m margin. It will be an economical trip, he just needs the gap. BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (9) had placed in three successive runs heading into his latest outing at The Creek on Friday. Strong to the line here two starts back, he can be chiming in. SELECTIONS: ONLYSBEST (2), FORGIVE ME (1), DIEGO DELGADO (7), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (9) SUGGESTED BET: ONLYSBEST (2) to win
RACE TWO
LA SABINA (2) is still chasing her first win since arriving in Qld and comes into this off a lasty start fadeout over the AP mile. Working outside the leader in a 27.1 opener, she was a spent force late. Just 7m when 3rd to ARKIN WICKED at the 2138 two starts back, this looks within reach. PROSPECTUS (1) was snookered three back on the inside from this gate last time out and never got warm as BELLA BRONSKI pulled away in front. The chance to be one spot closer should present here and that might be all the difference in issuing a challenge. JEREMES GOTTA GO (9) has faced the starter on three occasions since returning from a spell and been down the line in all three. Back to The Triangle where her record is smart helps her chances. WUNDERLAND (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but might just appreciate the opposition in this contest. Down the lien his past two, he can bounce back with a podium return. SELECTIONS: LA SABINA (2), PROSPECTUS (1), JEREMES GOTTA GO (9), WUNDERLAND (6) SUGGESTED BET: LA SABINA (2) to win
RACE THREE
LORD DENZEL (8) held the 1x1 trail last start from this same gate and loomed, only to be collared by SKIIPES SWAN SONG who has franked it with another subsequent victory. With the right trip, he can be in position to finish over the top of them. SABOTAGE (2) is first up for the new barn off the back of two trials and finds the right type of opposition to chase an elusive second win. Sent for a break and switching after a last start issue, she can get handy and, in a race, where they are all chasing some form, has the gate to challenge. HURRIKANE KING (5) has not shown a great deal in his three runs back from a break, but there were some encouraging signs last time. This might just be the race to get forward to feature. BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (9) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run and never warmed up as SKIPPERS SWAN SONG arrived. A cart into the contest aids his claims. SELECTIONS: LORD DENZEL (8), SABOTAGE (2), HURRIKANE KING (5), BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (9) SUGGESTED BET: LORD DENZEL (8) to win
RACE FOUR
PRETTY GOOD REASON (2) settled in the running line last start after showing no early hustle and was just behind the money as the in-form WATERLINE arrived. Fading out as the fav two starts back when setting the speed, she has the speed to get across early and pinch this. BATED BREATH (8) pressed forward from gate 4 last start and worked to the front where she was trying to fight them off in the closing stages but was collared on the line when a half-head away. A tough winner three back when parked, she can throw it down. JAKKI MUN (9) should appreciate a return to The Triangle after recent appearances at The Creek, the latest when positioned deep field after retreating from gate 5. He can be making a closing play. SUBTLE ADVICE (5) sat back off the speed last start from outside the second line and when produced had the power to descend on them and take the prize. Positioning cheaply, he is right in this. SELECTIONS: PRETTY GOOD REASON (2), BATED BREATH (8), JAKKI MUN (9), SUBTLE ADVICE (5) SUGGESTED BET: PRETTY GOOD REASON (2) to win
RACE FIVE
LESVOS LAD (8) will take benefit from his last start where he weas resuming from a spell. Buried away from the inside second line, he never found the gaps but did not have to do any work. With the right economics in transit, he might just be able to pinch a race full of chances. ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) made an error last start that ended his chances. Placed his previous three in succession, he tried to see it out from the front two starts back and was grabbed in the closing stages. This is a wide-open contest and he can issue a challenge. MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5) was sent around them from inside the second line to sit parked last start but was unable to finish it off. Making some late metres for 3rd the start prior, he is in the mix. JUKEBOX JET (3) secured the pocket trail from the inside alley last start and with the soft trip held on for the bronze. Fitter again after four runs back from a spell, he is a podium hope. SELECTIONS: LESVOS LAD (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (5), JUKEBOX JET (3) SUGGESTED BET: LESVOS LAD (8) to win
RACE SIX
JIMMY JOYCE (9) is a two-time winner in four attempts on this deck and should appreciate a return to this grade after meeting stronger opposition last start. In the second half of the pack as subsequent winner SHADYS CULLECT claimed the prize, he can work into this to capitalise. TUFFY (1) has had 53 attempts at opening the account that have come up short. Holding on for the bronze two starts back from this gate when taking the trail, he can look to burrow through in the early stages and with the fence trip, could this be his ticket out of maiden ranks? GET ME OUTTA HERE (5) had the gate to get forward and take control here four starts back and from the front was able to hold them off. Grabbed last start in front, he is right in the fight. BOUNTYHUNTER (8) returns from a spell after a last start error on the grass at Kilcoy saw him take no real part. Pressing through early, he has a podium hope fresh up. SELECTIONS: JIMMY JOYCE (9), TUFFY (1), GET ME OUTTA HERE (5), BOUNTYHUNTER (8) SUGGESTED BET: JIMMY JOYCE (9) to win
RACE SEVEN
TRUE GRIT SHADOW (2) darted across from gate 3 to set the speed last start and running them through even panels was unable to finish them off as DOLLARBILL took the cash. Placed his previous two, this looks an easier assignment and from the front can look to put them away. CANNAN (8) was a winner here four starts back when pressing to the front and once in control was able to grip on for a half-head margin. Beaten by gate 5 last start when retreating, he can be following through here to issue a challenge. BETTING BARON (7) will appreciate a return to the sprint trip after fading last start over the 2040. A strong 3rd split left him out of chips and with the cosy trip behind the speed, can be sharper here. HEAVENS BABY (1) eased from gate 4 last time out to settle at the rear before closing it out strongly over the latter stages for the silver, 3m astern of the winner. The gate is a huge plus.
SELECTIONS: TRUE GRIT SHADOW (2), CANNAN (8), BETTING BARON (7), HEAVENS BABY (1) SUGGESTED BET: TRUE GRIT SHADOW (2) to win
RACE EIGHT
THE CASUAL GOOSE (9) was snagged back from gate 5 last start and from the rear then tried to make a wide run to get into the contest when grabbing the bronze. A tough effort two starts back when sitting parked, he looks to have the measure to make it a dozen wins on this deck. TAPTHEKEG (4) overturned a winning drought here last start when firing out from this same alley to take control and from the front was able to claim a 6m margin. With some wining confidence, he can look to get forward again and grab another winning drink. CIRCLE LINE (7) chased home behind CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN last start and was not that far away. A winner from gate 5 at the 2040 here four runs back, he will be searching for the gaps to chime in. VERMONT (5) was runner-up here two starts back when hitting the line in good order over the latter stages to be 3m from the winner DOLLARBILL. The gate hurts but she is in the mix. SELECTIONS: THE CASUAL GOOSE (9), TAPTHEKEG (4), CIRCLE LINE (7), VERMONT (5) SUGGESTED BET: THE CASUAL GOOSE (9) to win
