RACE ONE
SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9) has been runner-up in both runs back from a spell, the latest when closing out strongly from this same gate to be 3m from THE HARRIS HAWK. Placed in three runs prior to the spell, he gets back to the sprint trip for the first time this campaign and can descend. FIVE STAR GEM (1) had the 1x1 trail after starting from the second line last start but could not reel in the winner ALTANA BLUE, finishing 2m in arrears. A tough winner when parked here three back, he has early hustle and with the options can throw down a challenge. SUBSTITOOTH (5) settled back in the pack from outside the second line last time out and made late metres to just miss the money. A gritty 3rd when only beaten a neck two starts back, he has claims. ILLBEWATCHING (7) used inside runs here three runs back to grab 3rd when 1m from subsequent winner SUNRISE RUBY. With the chance for the economical trip, he can be chiming in. SELECTIONS: SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9), FIVE STAR GEM (1), SUBSTITOOTH (5), ILLBEWATCHING (7) SUGGESTED BET: SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (9) to win
RACE TWO
SUNRISE RUBY (7) has been in good form and claimed the inaugural race at this trip last week when finishing over the top to claim victory by a narrow margin. Strong to the line from inside the second line here two starts back when runner-up, she will be stalking, ready to strike. BOLD COWBOY (1) returns to Qld and joins the Donny Smith stable following a last start win at Dubbo over the 2120 trip. A six-time winner, he lands the ideal gate to utilise his early speed and protecting the inside can issue the challenge. FEELIN FLIRTY (3) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest from three back on the poles before rattling late to be just a pimple short of the prize. He is right in the fight once again. SHADYS CULLECT (6) is chasing a hat-trick of victories but receives no favours from the outside paint over this trip. Dictating from gate 1 in both wins, she will be relying on some luck. SELECTIONS: SUNRISE RUBY (7), BOLD COWBOY (1), FEELIN FLIRTY (3), SHADYS CULLECT (6) SUGGESTED BET: SUNRISE RUBY (7) to win
RACE THREE
AQUA CRUISER (4) worked home wide off the track here two starts back and despite the tough trip, had the power to take a 3m margin. Sent around to sit parked from the second line last start, he was game in defeat behind WATERLINE. He can press forward to capitalise. GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) started from this same gate last start and with no early speed to report, was soon shuffled to three back in the running line. The best of the chasing bunch to grab the silver behind HIGHVIEW SADLER, he can be closer to the action here to challenge. DUKE (1) was a winner from the running line here two starts back when working into open space and arriving on the wire for a narrow victory. Beaten by gate 6 last start, he will be probing. ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8) started from inside the second line last start and was soon shuffled back and then made some metres late. With the right trip, she is a podium hope. SELECTIONS: AQUA CRUISER (4), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), DUKE (1), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8) SUGGESTED BET: AQUA CRUISER (4) to win
RACE FOUR
PEPPA BLISS (1) has a solitary win in seven appearances here on The Triangle but might have the right conditions to lift the strike rat to 25%. Hanging tough first over when just out of the money behind HES SWEET last start, she was strong to the line last start and might just pinch this. LULU LUCIFER (2) flashed some early speed last start but was unable to go on with it over the closing stages when fading out behind GOLDIES A DELIGHT. Holding on for the bronze two starts back, she has been sparingly raced with just two starts since October but can be close enough to challenge. CHEETAH LODGE (7) was trying to launch a raid wide off the track last start but never really warmed up. 3rd behind HES SWEET two starts back, he will be probing for the gaps. MISTER CAUTIOUS (3) has had two runs back from a spell and heads to Redcliffe for the first time this campaign. With a win and one second in three appearances on this deck, he is in the mix. SELECTIONS: PEPPA BLISS (1), LULU LUCIFER (2), CHEETAH LODGE (7), MISTER CAUTIOUS (3) SUGGESTED BET: PEPPA BLISS (1) to win
RACE FIVE
TORQUE IN CONTROL (1) held the 1x1 trail last start and owned the closing power to descend on them to take a 4m margin. Runner-up from the trail to DONNY JONES three starts back, she has the early options here and finds conditions to go back-to-back. ROCKNROLL MAX (7) was snookered in the run at Marburg two starts back but found clear space and when set free, hit the line smartly to claim victory. Tackling a tougher contest over the AP 2138 last start when midfield, he will be tucked in behind the speed ready to make a challenge. EXPLANATION NOTED (5) started from inside the second line last start and was shuffled back in the run before trying to make metres up the passing lane when 3rd. She can be chiming in here. HIGHVIEW SADLER (9) has hit the board in all three appearances since arriving with the new barn, the latest when owning the closing speed to round them up last week. This is not that much harder. SELECTIONS: TORQUE IN CONTROL (1), ROCKNROLL MAX (7), EXPLANATION NOTED (5), HIGHVIEW SADLER (9) SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE IN CONTROL (1) to win
RACE SIX
FRAYA (9) had very little go her way last start in a mare’s qualifier when looking to be in a perfect 1x1 position that soon turned ugly with nowhere to go and finishing without finding space to offer. Taking them all the way here two starts back, she can overcome the outside gate to cash in. TEACHERS PET (1) should strip fitter from her latest outing when resuming from a spell and finding herself buried in the run. A winner on the grass at Kilcoy three starts back, she has all the favours from this gate to issue a challenge. SUNNY COVE (5) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest when chasing home for the bronze over the Fast Track 1200 trip behind SUNRISE RUBY. The gate is not ideal, but he can join in. GRIGORA (6) was a tough winner here three starts back when sent to sit parked from the second line and able to grind out the W. Within 2m of the winner last start, he can look to defy the gate. SELECTIONS: FRAYA (9), TEACHERS PET (1), SUNNY COVE (5), GRIGORA (6) SUGGESTED BET: FRAYA (9) to win
RACE SEVEN
DATSINAHURRI (2) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run, grabbing 3rd, although never a winning hope as CHIEF JUJON claimed victory. Grabbed in the closing stages two starts back when looking to lead throughout, she can take control and see it out. TACKAS LAST DANCE (4) has been runner-up in three of her past four starts, the latest when trying to make a passing lane raid after being shuffled to three back from inside the second line. Finishing 4m astern of the winner TORQUE IN CONTROL, she can be issuing a closing challenge again in this. ROLLONX (7) will be relying on some factors in his favour as he looks at risk of being buried in the run. Strong to the line last start only to be nabbed in the last stride, he will be probing for gaps. CRIME BOSS (6) was fighting hard after sitting parked and holding 3rd at the sprint trip two starts back and last time at the 2040 was able to overcome the outside second line. He can feature again. SELECTIONS: DATSINAHURRI (2), TACKAS LAST DANCE (4), ROLLONX (7), CRIME BOSS (6) SUGGESTED BET: DATSINAHURRI (2) to win
RACE EIGHT
AWAYOVERNIGHT (2) was returning from a spell last start when sent out as fav from this gate at the middle trip. Trying to see it out form the front, he faded late to finish midfield as CRIME BOSS rattle late to take victory. Tightened from the run and back to the sprint can see him capitalise. GETALOADATHISGIRL (6) finished midfield two starts back after causing a false start at the first attempt and facing the ODM embargo as a result. Snagged back from outside the front-line last start, she was attacking the line with power to be under 2m from the winner and can throw it down again. FEELING THE POWER (9) was luckless last start when searching for a run that did not present in time. Taking them all the way two starts back, with better luck he can grab a minor. SHESHERZ (1) was runner-up from this gate three starts back when sliding through and looking to take them all the way. With the options on offer, she can chase a podium return. SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (2), GETALOADATHISGIRL (6), FEELING THE POWER (9), SHESHERZ (1) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE NINE
SHOOBEE RIGHT (8) resumes from a spell to begin the next quest to break maiden ranks after placing in 8 of 12 appearances on this deck. Holding the bronze behind ESTIVAL last start back in September, he can find the right trail into this to open the account. ENZED FLYER (5) has placed in 8 of his 17 career attempts, the latest when asked to sit parked and holding on for 3rd as LADY ANTHEIA arrived. A gritty 3rd after sitting parked here three runs back, the gate dents his challenging chances. SAFETOSAYIMFANCY (1) was racing on the inside last start and held 3rd as FEISTYNFEARLESS proved too strong. With an economical trip on the poles, she can be searching for the gaps to feature. FANCY LIKE BARBIE (7) held 3rd, albeit over 40m from the winner CALL TO ORDER two starts back. 6m from the winner PUMPKIN PAT three starts back, she will be probing for clear space from this gate. SELECTIONS: SHOOBEE RIGHT (8), ENZED FLYER (5), SAFETOSAYIMFANCY (1), FANCY LIKE BARBIE (7) SUGGESTED BET: SHOOBEE RIGHT (8) to win
RACE TEN
SPORTS MODE (5) makes his race debut for Peter Greig, the gelding having trialled soundly in preparation for the first appearance. A son of Sportswriter, he faces a sticky gate first up but can look to make a play first up. PRECOCIOUS KATE (1) returns from a spell without a public trial after six starts early in her season. Holding on for the bronze two starts back when 2m from the winner TEGAN LEE, she faded after setting the tempo in a Redcliffe Sales Heat. From the gate, she can throw it down fresh. BREEZE ON BYE BYE (4) was locked away last start and with a cleaner trip could have been closer, although she did grab 3rd behind DEEP REGRET. Slowly improving, she can feature in this line up. TIPPIN IT (8) heads North from The Hunter for Aaron Goadsby after just two starts. Debuting back in February, she was put away before resuming at Newcastle last start. She stays under notice. SELECTIONS: SPORTS MODE (5), PRECOCIOUS KATE (1), BREEZE ON BYE BYE (4), TIPPIN IT (8) SUGGESTED BET:
