RACE ONE
MAKE IT RAIN (5) has been runner-up at his past two starts after a luckless effort on debut. Starting deep into the red last start, he was sent to sit parked and after the tough trip had to settle for the silver, finishing 2m astern of the winner. Beaten a head two starts back, this looks his chance. MARKSMAN (2) took the trail last start when finishing just behind the placings as DEFENSE ATTORNEY claimed the prize. Chasing home behind MAC OREILLY two starts back, he gets back to The Triangle after trying to open the account at HQ and has the early hustle to throw it down. ARKUNA (1) is a 2YO daughter of Ohoka Punter on debut for Grant Dixon. The first foal of the six-win mare Ark Teamo, she qualified at AP with a sound trial and has the right gate first up. RACE TWO
BAD BOY BORIS (7) will be further tightened from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell. Finding the pocket trail from gate 2, he held on for the bronze behind LADY ANTHEIA. Looming strongly when resuming to be just a half-head away, he can use second line options to capitalise. DON COYOTE (5) is a 6YO that has had just four career starts and resumes from a long spell, having faced the starter twice in NSW back in January off the back of 30 months off the scene. Well covered in two Albion Park trials, he heads to The Triangle for his first look and finds the right race first up. OUR ULTIMATE RUBY (6) is on the back up from Monday night where she eased from this gate before owning superior closing power to arrive on the wire. Winning confidence will help. BEAU HART (2) was asked to sit parked on Monday night and was down the line as JANG PEL arrived. A tough run to be 2m from the winner GLENLEA BELLA two starts back, he is in the mix. RACE THREE
COSMIC FLYER (6) made an error form inside the second line last start in a 2YO battle and after resetting did well to be under 6m form the winner CALL TO ORDER. Buried away two back when under 4m from the winner IRON CLAD, he can overcome the wide gate to cash in. CAPTAIN FOXTROT (8) has been going close to victory but keeps landing a little short, finishing as the runner-up in four of his past five starts. Finding running line cover from gate 6 last start, he loomed in the stretch to be just 1m from the winner. A head away two starts back, he will throw it down. LADY ANTHEIA (1) had been building towards a victory and was able to break maiden ranks here two starts back. Going back-to-back, she has the right gate to chase the threepeat in a tougher battle. OUR UNCLE LES (2) followed through from the second line to sit parked last start and despite the tough run was still giving on the wire to hold 3rd. From this gate he can get handy and feature. RACE FOUR
CHIEF JUJON (6) was sent forward last start from gate 4 and taking control was never in danger when claiming a 9m margin. Eased from this gate the start prior before closing out nicely, he steps up to the middle trip for the first time which does pose a question, but he should have the answers. CALL ME TRISH (5) has been racing in consistent form in this grade, hitting the board in five of her past six, including a win here five runs back. Strong to the line last start from wide off the track, she can be securing the right cart home to issue a challenge. HOLLYWOODBOUND (9) will take further benefit from her latest start when second up from a spell. Asked to hang tough first over, she was in for the fight to go under a head and can feature again. MY CHINA DOLL (2) has the gate to get forward where she does her best work but is susceptible at the trip, with just one placing in 8 attempts. Buried last start, she is a podium hope. RACE FIVE
PURPLE SHADES (2) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run and searching for a gap when 6m from the winner GHOST TRAIN. Midfield the start prior, he was a winner when finishing best three starts back and from this gate can be forward enough to capitalise. DIPPED IN SILVER (8) had been building towards a win and here two starts back delivered on that assessment when finishing over the top of them to score. Grabbing 3rd up the passing lane last start, he can find the right position to issue a challenge. TORQUE WRITER (7) was back in the main draw last start after facing the ODM embargo in recent starts and made an error in transit, ending her chances. Likely to be snookered, she will be probing. OFFICE BAD BOY (1) speared out and looked to take them all the way last start when 5m from the winner TORQUE IN CONTROL. With the options for a soft trip, he can be thereabouts. MIGHTY GEORGE (7) eased from gate 4 last start to settle rearward, closing it out in smart fashion to grab the bronze when wide off the track. A winner here two starts back when finishing best, he will be stalking the speed, awaiting to take his shot. MOUNT HERCULES (3) angled to the poles last start and when finding open space was strong to the line in finishing 3m astern. Making some tidy metres in the closing stages two starts back when 3rd to FRAYA, he can find the right run to throw it down. GELDOF (4) was hitting the line in smart style last start to be 4m from the winner. Fading the start prior, he has nine wins on this deck and throwing down some heat can look to chime in. THUNDAMENTAL (1) started from this same gate last start at this trip. Keeping them wide and trying to see it out, he faded over the closing stages. With options, he is in the mix. INCOGNITO (1) will be first up in Qld after joining the Greg Frankin stable. Last spotted at Menangle back in August2, his form had tapered off at the end of his campaign. Resuming here without a public trial, he snares the alley to capitalise. BETTYS GOLD CLASS (8) has worked her way into some form, winning two of her past four starts. Securing the 1x1 trail before shaking free and finishing best to score here two starts back, she was runner-up last start behind SHADYS CULLECT. With the right trail, she can stake her claim. MONTEREY JACK (4) can work in his races if necessary and from this alley can look to get forward. Runner-up two starts back when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages, he can chime in. FOVEAUX MAJOR (7) maps for the soft trip in behind the speed and awaiting the passing lane can be ready to strike. A four-time winner on this deck, he can be chiming in. RACE EIGHT
CAPTAINS PICK (1) landed in the running line from gate 9 last start over the AP mile and was settled rearward when trying to make a closing raid and finishing just 6m from the winner. Finishing the same margin in arrears from CHISELED two starts back, he has the options here to capitalise. SPIRIT AND SOUL (9) looked to have found the right set up here two starts back from this same gate. Attacking the line in nice style, he had to settle for the silver when 3m from the winner LUXURY LAD. Relying on some front-line tempo, he can be issuing a closing challenge. FALCONS (7) was shuffled to three back along the inside last start and then never saw the gap when needed. Hitting the line in smart fashion two starts back, he will be probing, awaiting the gaps. WILD IMAGINATION (2) takes her first look at The Triangle after being buried last start in a mare’s event when starting inside the second line. From this gate, she can be close enough to feature.
