RACE 1
There was merit in the latest effort of PERFECT FEELING (5) when he raced three wide with a trail in the latter stages but kept chasing for fourth at Redcliffe. Draws a couple of spots wider but finds a nice race so will take plenty of beating. IMA BIRUBI BOY (6) didn't make an impact last start but he drew the back row and was forced to race three wide so it may pay to be forgiving. With his best he can measure right up to these. BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (7) may need a bit of luck from the wide draw but he has produced some decent efforts since scoring last month at Marburg. MY GIRL BLAZE (8) placed at Redcliffe last month and is drawn for a trail so is in the mix.
RACE 2
HESLUVABLE (1) has been coming from wider or second row barriers of late but he recorded a win and a second at this circuit the last two times he had the ace draw so is much better served today. DEAD SET CRAZY (7) made mistakes in his first two outings after a spell but paced cleanly despite an awkward getaway from the stand last start to get within 5m of the winner. That will have brought him to peak fitness and he looks better placed behind a mobile. WESTERN ACTION (3) was runner up from a wider barrier here four back and hasn't been too far off the placegetters since. Drawn to play a role. MUSTANG DUDE (8) comes off a last-start win by 1.2 metres at Marburg and is drawn for a trail so could get into the finish.
RACE 3
NAUTIE GALVINATOR (2) has been hard to fault of late and made it two wins in a row at Redcliffe when successful at his latest appearance, coming from a wider barrier to get home by 3 metres. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw so can land the hat trick. KISS ON THE BEACH (7) broke through for the first win of the preparation last start when she scored by a head at Redcliffe. May need a bit of luck negotiating a wide starting position but will be at peak fitness. ROCKTIME (4) looks better placed having scored in this grade at Redcliffe three starts back when off this same barrier. The ace draw can see an improved showing from ULTIMATE HUNTER (1).
RACE 4
LETS SAVE THE DAY (6) finished strongly to score by close to 2m at Redcliffe two starts ago before working when racing wide but sticking on to place in his latest appearance at Marburg. Draws out but if things go his way he can play a big role. MY SECRET BEACH (5) made a nice return from a back row draw at his latest appearance eight days ago, finishing 1.2 metres away in second at Marburg. Should strip fitter so can keep the ball rolling. LORD DENZEL (2) draws lower than in his latest attempt and was solid two back when runner up at Redcliffe from a second row draw. Contender. IT AINT ROYAL (4) eases back in grade and has claims off a couple of recent placings at Redcliffe.
RACE 5
GRACENAVA (4) continues to race well and is building an impressive strike rate at this circuit. Led from this same barrier when winning well last week so expect her to push forward again. Has strong claims. GIDUP CAPTAIN (6) resumes off strong form having gone to the paddock following a string of wins and placings. Last appeared when second at Redcliffe in October after winning his previous two outings at that circuit. Likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. STRUTTY (8) hasn't had the best of luck of late but is drawn for a trail and owns a good strike rate at this distance. The ace draw can see an improved showing from CHARLIE CHUCKLES (1).
RACE 6
BONNIES CAM (5) led and faded when well fancied in a stronger race last time but had been going very well before that with a string of top-four finishes. Looks nicely placed in this line-up so prepared to give him another chance. GOLDEN BAY (4) had to work last start so it may pay to forgive that result. Led in scoring three starts back and all of his wins have come at this circuit and distance. Can bounce back. FLARE UP (1) has been coming from wider or second row barriers of late so can turn things around from the ace draw. BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (2) hasn't been too far from the placegetters of late and is in the mix from a favourable draw.
RACE 7
HARRYS DEAL (10) is a lightly raced former Kiwi who won on his Australian debut at this circuit last campaign. Has not raced for four months but looks forward enough for the return after a minor placing in a recent trial. Progressive and can overcome the draw for a first-up win. CHEDDAR MADE BETA (9) found form last start to score by 3 metres at Redcliffe. Draws on the back row but with a touch of luck he can keep the ball rolling. SPELLMAKERS CHARM (8) resumes after five months having produced some decent form at her maiden campaign. Has trialled so look out for any positive market movement. SUBTLE ADVICE (2) draws well and is worth some thought off a Redcliffe win three back.
