RACE ONE

Taking good benefit from his return to the track here last week, NORTHERN HEIGHTS (8) can look to build on the first up effort with a win here. Grabbed in the closing strides last week, he can get close enough to go one better this time.

KODA DA MODA (10) released the speed after working forward to get near the action and then made an error that ended her chances. Resetting and chasing gamely to make up a stack of ground, it followed a close 3rd behind TOP OF THE MOMENT. She can atone here.

ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (5) was second up in Qld last start when attacking the line strongly I the stretch to be just a neck away. With further fitness and confidence, he can feature.

YSMIR (6) has placed at her past three starts, the latest when asked to hang tough at Marburg and holding 3rd, albeit some 23m from the winner. She is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: NORTHERN HEIGHTS (8), KODA DA MODA (10), ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (5), YSMIR (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Settled deep in the pack here last start from the 30m tape, FENOMENAL (10) was still picking up in the closing stages when midfield and under 10m from the winner NATTY PAGGER. Wide for a long way the start prior, he is going well enough to take this with the right tempo.

NATTY PAGGER (7) had been building towards a victory and franked that assessment here last week when securing the ideal trip and then finishing hard over the top to score a narrow victory. Hitting the line strongly two back at Marburg, he can be issuing a closing challenge again.

BUN IN THE OVEN (4) forced the issue here last week and pressing to the front was trying to repel the challengers when finishing 2m from the winner. Still off the front line she can feature.

EVERYSECONDCOUNTS (1) was asked to race tough here four starts back and fighting hard was just 7m from the winner to hold 3rd. Back to the front line, she can be much sharper here.

SELECTIONS: FENOMENAL (10), NATTY PAGGER (7), BUN IN THE OVEN (4), EVERYSECONDCOUNTS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Runner-up at each of her past three starts, BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2) was returning from a spell here last week when making her first appearance as a 4YO. Hitting the line smartly, she held on for the silver behind MULLUM HANK. From the gate she can go one better.

CAPTAIN BART (3) started deep into the sauce on debut when tackling a 2YO maiden and after securing the 1x1 trail, could not reel them in when 2nd to REDS ABLAZE. Striking trouble last start behind the same winner, he can look to get handy and issue the challenge.

BOTTICELLI (6) is an immaculately bred 3YO colt on debut for Riley Butt by Art Major out of Arms Of An Angel. With a tidy trial victory to prepare for the debut, he stays under notice.
GRUBSCREW (5) makes his Qld debut, arriving form the deep South of NZ with a pair of placings in four attempts. With a Redcliffe trial back in March, he is a place hope fresh.

SELECTIONS: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2), CAPTAIN BART (3), BOTTICELLI (6), GRUBSCREW (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

ON debut last start when securing the 1x1 trail, BASILISK BOB (3) was looming in the closing stages when finishing 4m from the winner FRENCH FRIES. With added experience from the outing, he finds the right race to open the account.

HUNGER STRIKE (9) joins the Graham Dwyer stable after making her debut here last week for Rickie Alchin. Locked away three back against the poles, when she found space there was a lot to like in how she attacked the line. With added experience, she can challenge.

ARRIVE (5) found the pocket trail last time out which doubled as her race debut. Finishing 5m from the winner and missing the money, she can look to be thereabouts again here.

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1) secured the perfect trip in behind the speed from this gate last start and held on for the bronze against older performers. The gate aids her chances again here.

SELECTIONS: BASILISK BOB (3), HUNGER STRIKE (9), ARRIVE (5), LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

These up to NR40 events can be hard to dissect and this one looks even harder than the normal. FLY CHEVAL (4) pressed ahead to work to the front last start at Redcliffe before fading in the closing stages for the bronze. If she can settle handy and limit the work, she can arrive.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) was luckless here last start when trying to chime in over the closing stages but hitting a dead end. Only 2m from the winner here two starts back from this same gate, he will be trying to find a way clear to throw down the challenge.

ROCCO VARIETY (9) was a winner from the 1x1 trail here three starts back when climbing over the top of them to score. Holding 3rd last start, he can be making a closing raid here.

PROSPECTUS (10) settled deep field after retreating from gate 7 here on Friday night, before picking off some closing metres late. She can be joining in late.

SELECTIONS: FLY CHEVAL (4), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), ROCCO VARIETY (9), IT AINT ROYAL (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Impressive on debut off the back of a smart trial performance, BIRKIRKARA (3) did it comfortably in finding the front and taking them all the way to record a 7m winning margin. With a further 12m back to 3rd, he can build off that to make it back-to-back wins.

MULLUM HANK (1) faced a second line gate last start when settled in the running line before coming with a well-timed run to arrive for the maiden breaking victory. Wide off the track at Redcliffe the start prior, with the gate benefit, he can be in behind and ready to strike.

VINCENT TIME (9) has been runner-up at his past three in succession, the latest when tackling a 947m Trot Rods blitz. Hitting the line strongly here two back, he is a podium player.

FIREBOLT (6) returns from a spell to start her 3YO term after finishing midfield last start in a 2YO event behind IRON CLAD. A winner at two of her five starts last year, she can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: BIRKIRKARA (3), MULLUM HANK (1), VINCENT TIME (9), FIREBOLT (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Bouncing back into winning form here last start when working home wide off the track, HOT ROD HARRY (10) steps up to the 2138m middle trip for the first time in his career. A beaten fav when nothing went right in the APG Bullion two starts back, he will be hard to stop if he runs the trip.

REASON TO SHINE (12) has been in super touch since returning from a spell, winning first up in smart order and following that with another victory. Attacking the line strongly last start when runner-up to PYRRHIC DANCER , with the right cart into the contest she can challenge.

CYCLONE TONY (4) struck trouble last start after being sent out as the fav and just missing the money in a race won by ATTACHMENT. Runner-up in both prior starts, he is right in the mix.

KEAYANG TARA (1) is on the one-day back-up after competing Monday at Marburg. Buried in the run two starts back, she will get the economical trip here and be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HARRY (10), REASON TO SHINE (12), CYCLONE TONY (4), KEAYANG TARA (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

SIR BRIGADOON (9)
was rocketing home last start down the centre of the track when running the winner MY ROCKY ROMANCE to a head margin yet missing the minor money. Runner-up to ARKIN WICKED two back, with that winner having subsequently won, he can arrive.

KALASA (3) will take good benefit from his last start where he was making his Qld debut. Well supported from gate 7 and taken off the arm, he made some impression late to finish midfield. With the improved gate, he can look to make his presence felt.

MY ROCKY ROMANCE (10) was beaten in red figures at his Qld debut here two starts back. Quickly bouncing back last time out with career win two from start three, this looks a steep rise.

SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (7) has now had four runs back from a spell, with her latest start her best since resuming. Throwing down the heat when parked to go under a head, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: SIR BRIGADOON (9), KALASA (3), MY ROCKY ROMANCE (10), SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

A strong veterans race where KICKATINALONGPONY (3) can look to continue his excellent numbers on this deck. Making a strong play in the closing stages last start when runner-up behind BOBBY WATERHOUSE, he can force the issue to capitalise.

TAIRLAW TOLL (7) was stoked up and sent forward from outside the second line last start and throwing heat thereafter, pulled clear for a dominant 8m margin. Not that far from the winner BOMBADIER JUJON two starts back, he can be sent hard to throw down the challenge.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) held on for the bronze here two starts back when releasing the front and then trying to launce a closing raid. Not in the hunt here last starts, he secures the ideal gate and with that comes the options to capitalise.

MYMATEPOG (8) was second up in Qld last start when buried in the run and then closing it out in good order to pinch the bronze. With the soft trip, he can be rattling late.

SELECTIONS: KICKATINALONGPONY (3), TAIRLAW TOLL (7), COMMODORE JUJON (1), MYMATEPOG (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KICKATINALONGPONY (3) to win

RACE TEN

Relying on the tempo to drag him into the contest, ROCKON ROCKY (10) will be wide off the track at some stage in making his run. A sharp winner first up, he was collared in front when second up. Forget last start, back to this company, he can look to descend on them.

DONTTELLMEAGAIN (4) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when beaten as an odds-on fav from gate 2. Trying to take them all the way when collared by MAHINDI over the closing stages, she can settle forward to throw down a challenge fresh.

ARCHILLES (8) will be relying on some factors in his favour from this gate, but if spotting the gap in time, can be charging through to grab some money.

PEPPA BLISS (9) held on for the bronze last start behind THE JANITOR when trying to chime in. Not that far away at Redcliffe two back, she can trail through early to feature late.

SELECTIONS: ROCKON ROCKY (10), DONTTELLMEAGAIN (4), ARCHILLES (8), PEPPA BLISS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKON ROCKY (10) to win
