RACE ONE

A strong qualifier to open the night with several chances in a race that brings strong form lines. Luckless last start, FREE THINKER (6) went to the line with nowhere to go after being shuffled to three back along the poles. A big winner the start prior, he can overcome the gate.

REGAZZO DI TILLY (5) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when rolling around to sit parked and grind out a tough victory at the mile. Charging home to score the start prior in a race that has been a proven form reference with four subsequent winners, he will challenge again.

LEITHEN BURN (1) started from inside the second line last start where he used the passing lane to grab the silver. Strong to the line when 3rd two back, he has the gate to chime in off speed.

ALIBERTO (7) was first up in QLD last start when tackling the Redcliffe short course. Game in defeat in the fastest 947 of the season, he will need to be working again off this gate.

SELECTIONS: FREE THINKER (6), REGAZZO DI TILLY (5), LEITHEN BURN (1), ALIBERTO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FREE THINKER (6) to win

RACE TWO

Working hard in the early stages when exposed before cover arrived, JIMARTEE (1) was solid to the line when 6m from FOR REAL LIFE which led throughout in a slick 1.51.7 mile. Scoring a strong win two starts back and then sent for a break, he will strip fitter for the return to cash in.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4) ended a win drought here last week after building towards a victory with some strong performances. Beaten a half-neck and then a head in successive starts, he was then able to graft out the victory here last week and will be throwing it down again in this.

R ELEVEN ART (6) has no favours from the wide gate here, but his recent efforts have been strong. Only 3m from the winner MAJOR PERRY last time out, he can be thereabouts.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (10) was out hustled early here last week and from the pocket trail had to settle for the silver behind LAST TIME JOE. Luckless the start prior, he can be joining in late.

SELECTIONS: JIMARTEE (1), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4), R ELEVEN ART (6), ALWAYS SMOKIN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JIMARTEE (1) to win

RACE THREE

Placed at his past two starts, AARDIES FLASH (9) was attacking the line here last week to grab the bronze when 2m from the winner LEAP TO FAME. Charging home to score here two starts back when just a head from the winner, he can secure the right trip to descend upon them.

CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (5) eased out of any early pace wars last start when resuming from a spell and facing gate 4 at the mile. Making some late ground on the sloppy surface behind LEAP TO FAME, he should take plenty from the run and back to this grade can challenge second up.

MAJOR PERRY (6) secured the perfect trip here two starts back and was produced at the ideal time to power home over the top. A wide gate ended his hopes last time and stings again.

BRAEDOS LAD (4) faced a second line gate here three starts back and was hitting the line in good order when runner-up to ALTA REVELRY. 3m away last time, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: AARDIES FLASH (9), CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (5), MAJOR PERRY (6), BRAEDOS LAD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AARDIES FLASH (9) to win

RACE FOUR

With 12 successive wins achieved here last week when resuming from a spell in fine style, LEAP TO FAME (13) will look to take his game to a new dimension. Untried at race conditions from the tapes, he looks extremely well placed from 20m, which should allow him time to balance without traffic and it is hard to find any way that he does not just win again.

SEND IT (12) has been performing strongly throughout the season, hitting the board in 12 of 15 which includes half a dozen victories. Overcoming the 20m handicap last start, he had their measure from the mobile the start prior and if the tapes prove to be the kryptonite of LEAP TO FAME, he can fill the role of Lex Luthor in overturning the hero.

MANILA PLAYBOY (11) eased from the wide gate last start before closing out in nice order when 3rd behind SEND IT. Luckless the start prior when snookered on the poles, he can be making a wide raid for the podium.

CANTFINDABETTORMAN (9) is one of five runners having there first standing start appearance and last week was out of the pack to run LEAP TO FAME to a 2m margin. Runner-up his past three, he is a strong podium player.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (13), SEND IT (12), MANILA PLAYBOY (11), CANTFINDABETTORMAN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SEND IT (12) to place

RACE FIVE

This looks a tricky quaddie opener which could go any number of ways. SPIRIT OF ARION (12) was taken back last start and then searching for gaps over the closing stages when running up behind them. Not too far away from a wide second line gate, this looks within reach.

ROCKNPENNY (4) has been placed at his past two starts, the latest when eased from gate 7 before attacking the line to be under 2m from the winner. 4m from the winner two starts back, positioning cheaply will aid his chances in throwing down a challenge.

JAGARA (3) eased from gate 6 to secure position last start before attacking the line in fine style to arrive for a 4m margin in a new career PB. An improved gate enhances his claims.

MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (5) is just a 3YO tackling the older opponents off the back of a smart last start victory. A beaten fav two starts back in the Breeders Consolation, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: SPIRIT OF ARION (12), ROCKNPENNY (4), JAGARA (3), MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SPIRIT OF ARION (12) to win

RACE SIX

After knuckling down to the task too late here three starts back, ITS EBONYNIVORY (7) has been able to claim victories in both attempts since. Sent forward at the 2138 to sit parked here last week, she was able to grind out an impressive victory and can complete the threepeat.

LADY DIGBY (1) has enough early hustle to decide when she releases and here last start held early until ITS EBONYNIVORY presented. Taking the trail thereafter, she was able to hold on for the bronze when 3m astern. A similar scenario can present here.

MIGHT AS WELL (10) slid forward last start from this same gate before taking the 1x1 trail and holding on for the silver. With the right trip, she again has podium claims.

AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY (8) will be fresh up here after her last start 3rd when trying to see them off from the front and finishing just a neck away. She will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: ITS EBONYNIVORY (7), LADY DIGBY (1), MIGHT AS WELL (10), AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS EBONYNIVORY (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

An open looking 3YO here with the 2138 posing some questions to a few of those, including AIR EXPRESS (7) who takes his first look at the middle trip. Saved for the last shot at them here last time out, he pulled clear to post a huge margin. He looks a progressive type that can build.

IN EXCESS (2) has had three runs back from a spell that by the numbers don’t read too impressive. However a deeper look might just present some excuses and last start, he was sectionally sound when chasing THE JANITOR. An improved gate aids his challenging chances.

HOT ROD HARRY (9) has only had one previous attempt at the trip. That was three starts back when sent around from the second line to sit parked as the fav. He can feature again here.

QUIK CHANGE (10) powered home over the top of them two starts back to score and then last start was up the passing lane when 3rd to THE JANITOR. He will be looking to join in.

SELECTIONS: AIR EXPRESS (7), IN EXCESS (2), HOT ROD HARRY (9), QUIK CHANGE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: AIR EXPRESS (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

With three runs back from a spell that have been at a pass mark, SKY BLU (1) lands the gate to take full advantage. Chasing home behind the talented mare EYE KEEP SMILING last time out, the start prior she was parked throughout. With all the options, she can capitalise.

PANDAIA (10) makes her first appearance in Qld for Rickie Alchin. Quickly up in the ratings from just 10 starts, she was a beaten fav last start at Menangle behind LITTLE BLISS. Runner-up to ZENXENA the start prior, she can issue a closing challenge.

MY CRACKLING ROSIE (8) maps for the perfect trip in behind the speed and with the economical trip will be ready to pounce when the gaps open.

MULLUM RUBY (3) will strip fitter following her return to the track last start where she was snagged off the gate before running on over the closing stages. She has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SKY BLU (1), PANDAIA (10), MY CRACKLING ROSIE (8), MULLUM RUBY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SKY BLU (1) to win

RACE NINE

Too classy for her opposition here three starts back, CHEER LEADER (3) darted through to claim the prize. Luckless behind REGAZZO DI TILLY at the next outing, she was wide off the track last time and the return to her own sex is a huge asset for this contest.

NOT TO BE DENIED (10) arrives first up off a freshen after missing the QE11 Mile after finishing down the line in both qualifiers. A winner three starts back in the Riverina Mares Championship where she defeated EYE KEEP SMILING and MAJOR DELIGHT, she will challenge hard here.

ZENXENA (5) was a Menangle winner three starts back when finding the gap and darting through to score. Luckless here last week, she can be chiming in.

BONNIES DANCE (1) tackled a Trot Rods event last start when holding on for the bronze behind PROMISING. The map is in her favour and with the right trip tucked away, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (3), NOT TO BE DENIED (10), ZENXENA (5), BONNIES DANCE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEER LEADER (3) to win

RACE TEN

FUNNY FACE (7)
was hampered here last week with a runner going off-stride in front of her. Unable to get warm here two starts back off the 20m over the middle trip, her run three back was solid and up to the 13 furlongs looks in her favour.

ADELLE (9) eased from the wide gate at the mobile conditions last start before angling for the passing lane when runner-up to TAM OSHANTER. Strong to the line three starts back when 4m from the winner GUS, the 30m is an ask but the longer trip helps her chances to throw it down.

ZEALOUS SPUR (6) struck trouble last start and then also needed space that did not present. Buried in the run two starts back, he can work into a position to feature.

DEFENSIVE GUY (1) resumed from a spell over this trip when striking trouble in the run and then producing some smart panels in chasing. Trotting cleanly can see him right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: FUNNY FACE (7), ADELLE (9), ZEALOUS SPUR (6), DEFENSIVE GUY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FUNNY FACE (7) to win
