The brilliant Captaintreacherous horse Catch The Fire (1:46.4), who is standing at Pete and Chantal McMullen’s Somerset Farms in Queensland, continues to produce fast two-year-old winners from his first North American crop.
Recent winners by Catch The Fire include Pants On Fire (1:53.8), a winner of a Pop Up Series division at The Meadows, My First Fire, who won in 1:53.4 and 1:56.6, and Unique Catch (1:54.8).
Catch The Fire sired 50 foals from his initial crop and 34 have raced and 10 have emerged successful with eight in 2:00 and three in 1:55.
A Rocknroll Dance, Catch The Fire’s studmate, is enjoying another stellar season and is ranked seventh on this season’s All aged stake money list with $2.4 million.
A Rocknroll Dance has sired metropolitan winners in every state in the last fortnight.
Among his list of winners have been Dance And Deliver 1:50.8 (Menangle), Pas De Cheval 1:52.9 (Menangle), the Melton winners Nosweetsforyou (1:54.4), Khan’s Creed (1:54.4) and Rockandance (1:54.6), the Albion Park victors Dance Addition (1:54.7), Rocknroll Hammer (1:54.8) and Bonnie’s Dance (1:56.2) and the Gloucester Park two-year-old winner Twilight Tango.
