RACE 1 

BIG RIG SAINT (4) has been reasonably competitive in tougher races. This looks suitable. 

LIGHT UP LOVEY (5) recent form is good. Draws awkwardly. 

TAKEN BY SURPRISE (3) has a good gate and reasonable form when getting the right run. 

BERNICES LOVE (6) much improved run last start when back to maiden grade.

RACE 2 

TAPTHEKEG (2) draws favourably. It able to recapture some of his better form would prove hard to beat. 

CONVAIR HUSTLER (7) draws awkwardly but is racing extremely well and should be thereabouts again. 

DOOLITTLE DAZZLER (4) has gate speed and is working back towards full fitness following a spell. 

KIWI ROYALTY (9) is racing well. Can figure again.

RACE 3

LORD DENZEL (1) lead for most the way last start. Draws gate 1 again and can look to go one better. 

PERFECT FEELING (5) steps back into the March stable. His form when last in the March stable was well and truly good enough for these. 

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7) is having his first start for Taleah McMullen. Draws favourably and can figure with luck. 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (9) impressive winner last start after coming from a similar draw. Can look to do similar here. 

SELECTIONS: LORD DENZEL (1), PERFECT FEELING (5), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (9)

SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7) each way. 

RACE 4 

ROCCO VARIETY (4) gate speed horse. Looks a very suitable race if able to find the front. 

CHAKANA (3) hit the line well two back. A similar effort would be good enough. 

BABY GINNIE (7) has worked into some better form. 

MAJORMISS (8) trialled recently and was well beaten albeit in very fast time.

SUGGESTED BET: ROCCO VARIETY (4) to win. 

RACE 5

ROCKTIME (2) going much better than numerical form suggests and may get his chance to lead. Looks hard to beat. 

EXPLANATION NOTED (1) first up for the new stable, isn’t a horse that’s blessed with brilliant gate speed but has always had good ability. 

BO DUKE (9) hasn’t been competitive in his last two outings. May find this easier. 

KISS ON THE BEACH (8) well beaten in a mares race last start behind Jungle Baby. Should find this a lot easier.

RACE 6 

MISS PAU (9) shuffled back on the pegs last start after drawing gate one. Has good form for this race. 

THREE CHORD RIFF (7) lead last start and couldn’t quite finish it off. Drops in grade here should find this easier. 

SARIE MARAIS (1) draws to get plenty of favours. If able to settle close can be finishing off strong. 

ZED EXPRESS (2) has gate speed. Isn’t racing at his best but may be a race he can get forward in.

SUGGESTED BET: MISS PAU (9) to win. 

RACE 7

OLD LUKE (5) restrained to the rear from a wide gate last start. Did well to finish where he did. 

SAINT VERAN (7) finished midfield last time out but was beaten just 3.2 metres. This looks suitable. 

OUR MAJOR DAY (6) wasn’t beaten far last start in a strong race. 

SEABREEZE SOLITAIRE (2) looks outclassed coming into this race as an NR 63 taking on higher credentialed horses. Trial was moderate but must be respected first up for a trainer that’s had plenty of early success.

SUGGESTED BET: OLD LUKE (5) to win. 

RACE 8

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (8) finished off well last start once a gap appeared late last start. Appears well graded being a 52 rater in an up to 50 rating race. 

MY SECRET BEACH (3) lead for most of the way last start and was just run down late. Draws a good gate and can look to do similar again.

SHE DAZZLES (1) took on the Qbred Triad Final last start, this looks a big step back in grade. 

ONE LAST ROLL (7) had a soft run throughout and wasn’t beaten far.
