RACE ONE

A small field of five trotters to do battle where the race and winning experience that JUSTABITLIKETHIS (5) can call on, should be enough to overcome the 10m tape. Winning from the front when breaking maiden ranks, she has placed twice since and looks to have their measure.

BUSTER DAN (2) has shown improvement at every appearance and lines up here after chasing home MONTERY LASS last time out. With good manners, he can press forward and look to mount some form of challenge.

ARIZONA SKYE (3) is yet to hit the board in four outings, making errors in three of those. If she can trot cleanly, she might grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITLIKETHIS (5), BUSTER DAN (2), ARIZONA SKYE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITLIKETHIS (5) to win

RACE TWO

Fresh up following a stand down owing to his manners, FENOMENAL (2) finds the ideal conditions to return in style. Banished to the trials following that last start error, his latest trial was a smart piece of work against the pacers. From the front tape, he can capitalise.

BANFF (3) was building towards a victory after placing in three successive runs before cashing in here last week. Stepping strongly and finding running line cover from the 30m, he was able to arrive for the prize. A small field and the front tape can see him throw down the challenge.

SON OF A SUN (6) scored a Saturday night win two starts back when stepping to the front and fighting them off. Fading last start and not helped by a flat tyre, a small field is a big help.

SELECTIONS: FENOMENAL (2), BANFF (3), SON OF A SUN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FENOMENAL (2) to win

RACE THREE

Locked away in the Springboard Final three starts back, PHOENIX RED (9) attacked the line to grab the bronze behind NORHTERN HEIGHTS. Turning the tables on that runner at his next start with a smart win, he was just an eyelash short of victory last start and can go one better here.

ALDEBARAN FONZ (4) found running line cover last time out in the Springboard Final and was making some late metres behind NORTHERN HEIGHTS. Runner-up in three successive runs against similar company at his past five, he can press forward and throw down the challenge.

GRACIAS (10) started from the 30m here two starts back and finished hard over the top of them to claim a 6m margin. Chasing when midfield last start, a couple less to get around will help.

MORE SURPRISES (8) claimed a tough win here three starts back when pressing to the front and digging in when under pressure. Placed in both since, she can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: PHOENIX RED (9), ALDEBARAN FONZ (4), GRACIAS (10), MORE SURPRISES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PHOENIX RED (9) to win

RACE FOUR

In great form in recent weeks, HAMMER SON (11) was sent forward from the 30m tape last start to sit parked. Despite the tough run, he continued to give to the wire, only going under a half-head. In the top two at seven of his past eight, he finds the set up to capitalise.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (4) grabbed the silver behind MY ULTIMATE SUNNY in the QBRED Final three runs back and then turned the tables in the Springboard Final. Leading until deep stretch when collared by PHOENIX RED last start, he can throw it down again here.

IGNITE (9) started from the 10m last time under the conditions and held on for the bronze behind BANFF. In this line up, he can chase another cheque.

VOLTAIN (3) made a starting error last time out that ended his chances. Chasing home NORTHERN HEIGHTS the start prior, a safe star can see him chase minor money.

SELECTIONS: HAMMER SON (11), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (4), IGNITE (9), VOLTAIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HAMMER SON (11) to win

RACE FIVE

With a super record in this grade, the outside second line gate should be of little concern for TAIRLAW TOLL (10). Powering home to score at the mile three starts back, he was wide and fighting when 2nd behind KINGMAKER. The middle trip suits.

COMMODORE JUJON (2) released in the early stages from the inside gate over the mile last start and just missed the money as KINGMAKER sailed home over the top. Just 4m from FIRESTORM RED the start prior, he can be up near the action ready to challenge.

WINDY HILL WALLY (1) steps into veterans’ grade for the first time and gains the ace gate. Searching for a gap that did not open in time last start, he can be issuing a closing raid.

OLD LUKE (9) scored on the grass at Gatton two starts back and followed that with a 3m 3rd behind FIRESTORM RED. With the right trail, he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: TAIRLAW TOLL (10), COMMODORE JUJON (2), WINDY HILL WALLY (1), OLD LUKE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TAIRLAW TOLL (10) to win

RACE SIX

Resuming from a spell last start when claiming a gritty victory, THE JANIITOR (2) looks set to follow a Victorian Derby path. Overcoming gate 7 and producing a tough win over IRON CLAD, he ill strip fitter and will likely be given time to balance up before looking to clean them up.

ATTACHMENT (4) has some slick speed off the arm and used that from a wide gate last start to find the front and look to dictate. Worried out of it over the latter stages as ELLIS STREET arrived, he was too strong in front two starts back at the mile. The middle trip is he query.

LAURIE DEE (1) sat in the trail last start when finishing 2m from the winner WHATA ROLLER. Striking trouble the start prior, he can be tucked in behind to follow the shortcuts.

SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (3) fired off the gate to take control at this trip two starts back and pulled clear to post a 15m margin. A starchy 2nd behind AARDIE B MIKI last time, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THE JANIITOR (2), ATTACHMENT (4), LAURIE DEE (1), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THE JANIITOR (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

First up in Qld for the Mark Rees stable, KELLOSHIEL (1) comes into this following a last start unplaced run at Young. Scoring a big win at Dubbo three starts back when dictating and pulling clear to a 23m margin, she trialled sharply in readiness for her first outing in the Sunshine State.

MIKIBEQUICK (7) has placed in four of his past five starts, the latest when asked to hang tough and grinding out a tough 3rd when 3m from IRON CLAD. Just a half-head away two starts back, he can look to challenge despite the tough gate.

THE COOKIE MONSTER (4) chases a hat-trick after wins at the middle trip and then a swooping win here last start at the mile. Settling handy, he is right in the fight.

DELILAH ROSE (6) was a winner here three back when finding the front and fending off the challengers. Releasing last start when holding 2nd behind IRON CLAD, the gate stings.

SELECTIONS: KELLOSHIEL (1), MIKIBEQUICK (7), THE COOKIE MONSTER (4), DELILAH ROSE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KELLOSHIEL (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (9)
held the trail from inside the second line here on Friday and was able to dart home to victory along the passing lane. In a race where the middle trip looks the biggest hurdle for many of these, she can descend on them.

VINCENT TIME (3) is yet to hit the board in three attempts beyond the sprint trip but comes into this after a sharp last start victory. Pressing forward to take control from gate 6 at the mile, he kept them running to hold on. He has the hustle and options on offer thereafter to challenge.

LULU MAE (1) used the passing lane two starts back to grab the silver behind CAPTIVANTE. Midfield last start from outside the second line, the fence trip is a bonus.

POWERMOVE (6) was just behind the money over this trip in the fillies Triad Consolation two starts back. Dictating in front last start with a smart win, she can chase a podium finish here.

SELECTIONS: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (9), VINCENT TIME (3), LULU MAE (1), POWERMOVE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (9) to win

RACE NINE

TALKER JAE WALKER (8)
may give away experience to many of his rivals here as the veteran of just five career starts, but the 3YO might just hold enough edge. Game in defeat last start when working in the run and holding on for 3rd, he maps for the soft trip behind the speed.

WESTERN ACTION (4) started from the second line here three runs back and when set free, hit the line strongly down the outside to arrive. Placed in both subsequent runs, he was 5m away last start when runner-up. Positioning cheaply can see him issue a closing challenge.

BLUE BLOODZ (5) was exposed and wide early last start before finding cover and then held on for the silver behind THE COOKIE MONSTER. He is never far away in this grade.

HATTIES JEWEL (1) was runner-up at the middle trip two starts back when trying to see it out but was collared in the latter stages. Back to the mile from this gate can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: TALKER JAE WALKER (8), WESTERN ACTION (4), BLUE BLOODZ (5), HATTIES JEWEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-8
