Cairns Jockey Club meeting transferred

Racing Queensland advises that the race meeting scheduled for Cairns Jockey Club on Friday, October 25, has been transferred to Innisfail Turf Club.

The transfer has been made to facilitate an extension to the track renovation period at Cannon Park.

As a result, there has been amendments made to race distances on the program:

• Open Handicap, was 950m, is now 900m;
• Class 6 Plate (Set Weights), was 1250m, is now 1200m;
• Benchmark 70 Handicap, was 1400m, is now 1500m;
• Class 1 Handicap, was 1250m, is now 1200m;
• Benchmark 55 Handicap, was 1400m, is now 1500m;
• Benchmark 55 Handicap, was 950m, is now 900m;
• Maiden Handicap (with QTIS), was 1250m, is now 1200m; and
• 3YO Maiden Handicap (with QTIS), was 950m, is now 900m.

Please note that Country Apprentice claims remain applicable to this meeting.
