RACE ONE

Placed a this past two, MACS A DUDE (9) looks set to enjoy the right run and with the chance the tempo will assist. Freshened following a 3rd here two starts back, he returned off the second line at Redcliffe. With added fitness, this looks a race that is within reach.

SPLASHNDASH (1) slid across from gate 5 to find running line cover last start and then dropping in found enough late to power home over the top. With all the advantages that barrier 1 presents, he can chase a repeat.

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (3) fired out from this gate to set the tempo five runs back when collared in the closing stages. With bad gates in all three since, which includes a win, she can feature.

THE TIGER ARMY (10) found conditions to suit at Marburg last start when finishing too strongly despite being wide on the track over the latter stages. Place claims appeal.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (9), SPLASHNDASH (1), SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (3), THE TIGER ARMY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Forced to sit parked here last week from gate 4 after rolling forward for position, KERBANG (2) felt the pinch approaching the home bend after the leader and winner set a sub 54 tempo. Beaten by gate 6 the start prior, he can be handy enough to strike.

LONESTAR LAD (1) claims a big improvement in barrier fortunes for this assignment after facing gate 6 or the second line in all seven starts for the Dwyer stable. Striking trouble in the run last start, the improved barrier might just be the catalyst for a return to winning form.

MAJIC MOMENT (3) made a powerful move off the back straight last start and pulled clear for a smart win after starting from the second line. She can be featuring again here.

MONTGOMERY BURNS (12) has placed at his past tow starts when beaten 3m and 4m behind GLENEAGLE VEE CEE in each. The gate makes this a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (2), LONESTAR LAD (1), MAJIC MOMENT (3), MONTGOMERY BURNS (12)
SUGGESTED BET: KERBANG (2) to win

RACE THREE

RAGING SEA (7) has faced some stiff gates in recent starts, the latest from the six-hole when rolling forward to park and fighting hard in defeat when 3m from the winner. Hitting the line smartly two starts back behind DON ARTHUR, he looks up to the task.

MASTER CHARLES (6) darted back to the passing lane last start and was attacking the line when finishing unplaced but within a nose of the winner in a blanket finish. Scoring victory up the lane the start prior, he can look to defy the gate to challenge.

COLLECT A DIME (9) was hitting the line in nice order last start when 3m from the winner MONSIEUR DELACOUR. He has podium claims with the right early trail.
DELILAH ROSE (2) scored in a mare’s qualifier last start when sitting parked and grinding out a starchy victory. The gate gives her the chance to feature again here.

SELECTIONS: RAGING SEA (7), MASTER CHARLES (6), COLLECT A DIME (9), DELILAH ROSE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RAGING SEA (7) to win

RACE FOUR

Beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating to the rear at the 2138, SHACKOUTTHEBACK (1) comes up with two decisive factors in her favour. The inside gate and a return to the mile are valuable and with her best gate in recent attempts, secures her chance to capitalise.

AURORA JOY (10) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when tackling a mare’s event from gate 7. Hitting the line in good order the start prior in a mare’s qualifier when runner-up to TORQUE LIKE MOTION, the gate dents her challenging chances.

JOANS RISING STAR (3) was trying to make a challenge in the latter stages last start when finishing runner-up to MAJIC MOMENT. A return to the front line will aid her chances.

BELL RIVER BOY (9) was sent forward from the second line at Redcliffe last start and working in the run, just missed the money. Runner-up in both previous starts, he is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: SHACKOUTTHEBACK (1), AURORA JOY (10), JOANS RISING STAR (3), BELL RIVER BOY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHACKOUTTHEBACK (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Gate 12 offers no luxury for JUDITH GWENDA (12) who was left exposed last start and forced to roll the sleeves. Fading as the fav on that occasion, she was game in holding 2nd behind ELEGANT GROOVES which has since won again impressively. Despite the gate, she is up to this.

ALLORNOTHINGLEVI (11) tackled a 3YO contest last start when midfield behind subsequent winner GLENEAGLE VEE CEE. Overcoming the outside second line draw to defeat that same winner two starts back, he can look to defy the gate to issue the challenge.

VODKA EN ICE (5) was snagged back to chase short cuts from this same gate last start at the mile. Not much has been in his favour of late and a change in fortunes will be needed.

ARENDELLE (7) was chasing a hat-trick of victories when game in defeat at a big price behind DON ARTHUR two starts back. This looks an easier assignment despite the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: JUDITH GWENDA (12), ALLORNOTHINGLEVI (11), VODKA EN ICE (5), ARENDELLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Positioning cheaply will be vital if MISTER DOMINGO (5) is able to take his chance in what looks a wide-open contest. Chasing home for the bronze at Redcliffe last start, he was worried out of it from the front two starts back after setting the tempo. Positioning cheaply will be his key.

IDEAL DESIRE (12) was taken back from gate 6 last start and with the tempo controlled in front by eventual winner SPORTING TRISTAR, she was never in the mix. In a rut of second line barriers, made tougher again with the ODM embargo, she can look to make an impact here.

QUEENSLANDER (10) is on the back-up from Wednesday night where he looked to have a strong chance of victory on The Triangle. His middle trip figures could be the query.

TOBEFAIRTOYOU (3) did it tough last start in Saturday night 3YO company when sitting parked and holding on for the bronze. 7m behind CHICGAO BART two starts back, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DOMINGO (5), IDEAL DESIRE (12), QUEENSLANDER (10), TOBEFAIRTOYOU (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DOMINGO (5) win/place

RACE SEVEN

With the benefit of a tight gate, WESTERN ACTION (2) can be looking to settle handy to the action in this contest. Striking trouble last start and just missing the minor money, he finds his chance to capitalise.

PROSPECTUS (6) was able to dart across to take control last time out at Redcliffe and from the front was able to hold the rivals off in taking a 9m victory. Runner-up from the pocket trail the start prior, she can throw down a challenge again in this open affair.

MELTON INSULTED (8) set the speed last start but could not see them off when nabbed near the line by SPLASHNDASH. With the soft trip, she will be probing for openings.

LETS GET SHORTY (4) was chasing home behind the dictating winner BATMAN BART last start when grabbing the bronze. From this gate, he has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN ACTION (2), PROSPECTUS (6), MELTON INSULTED (8), LETS GET SHORTY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WESTERN ACTION (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

A beautifully bred two-year-old, RACE FOR RICHES (5) showed a nice turn of speed to claim a debut victory here last time out. He steps it up to more experienced rivals for this assignment, but looks to be a classy type in the making.

AARDIES MONEY (9) was sent out deep into the red last start but an error saw her finish a long way from the winner. Runner-up in successive starts following a maiden-breaking win from the trail, the second line makes it a tall order.

STUDLEIGH ANNE (2) broke maiden ranks last start at Marburg when finding the front and dictating to a 3m margin. With the winning confidence, she can chase another podium here.

HATTIES JEWEL (4) has slick moves off the arm and from this gate can look to get handy to the action. Placed at her past two starts, she can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: RACE FOR RICHES (5), AARDIES MONEY (9), STUDLEIGH ANNE (2), HATTIES JEWEL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RACE FOR RICHES (5) to win

RACE NINE

BASILISK BOB (2)
returns from a spell following his last appearance at Redcliffe when striking trouble and forced back to the trials. Midfield in the Breeders Classic two starts back when starting fav and 8m from the winner OUR SWEET DELIGHT, he has the gate to strike fresh.

CELESTINE (4) had four starts earlier this season after arriving from the Shaky Isles. Sent for a break, she has trialled in good order in readiness for the return and from the gate can look to issue a challenge first up.

HARLEEQUIN (8) is afforded no favours from this gate as she looks set to be buried in the run. Runner-up to RUBY RULES in successive starts, she will be probing for the openings.

CAPTAIN BART (7) was forced to cut the breeze last start and was still trying to offer in the stretch when 3m from RACE FOR RICHES. The wide gate dents his winning chances.

SELECTIONS: BASILISK BOB (2), CELESTINE (4), HARLEEQUIN (8), CAPTAIN BART (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BASILISK BOB (2) to win
