Form Analysis: Redcliffe - 10 October

RACE 1 

COUGAR EXPRESS (1) has moderate gate speed and from the inside draw is likely to find the lead.  Racing well enough to take this out if at his best. 

THE VIXEN (7) made up good ground late up the sprint lane. She is only a moderate beginner and will need to muster up enough speed to hold her position in the early stages. 

A PERFECT DANCE (3) worked early before obtaining a trail. Finished the race off well late. 

LUXURY LAD (5) started a short priced favourite in a similar race last start and faded into fifth. He seemingly over raced badly there and should be thereabouts settling better in the early stages.

SUGGESTED BET: THE VIXEN (7) each way. 

RACE 2 

FORGIVE ME (2) worked in the early stages last start before finding the lead and making a break which took her out of contention. She may be able to find the leader again in this and can be hard to beat if she does. 

HELL OF A HAND (6) won strongly last start after finding the leaders back trail. Likely to find things tougher here from gate six but is racing well. 

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (3) was never clear last start. He would be hard to beat in a race like this if able to obtain a good run. 

YES YOU MAY (9) closed off strongly three starts ago into fourth. Raced earlier in the week and appeared to be travelling well with nowhere to go in the concluding stages.

RACE 3

MODERN SHEEN (8) sat outside the leader last start on a solid tempo. With a softer trailing draw in this race she can be thereabouts. 

BELL RIVER BOY (9) showed gate speed to lead last start. Was run down late by Hell Of A Hand who had the cold sit on his back. 

COTE DAZUR (6) was closing off strongly last start before being up late. He can be closing strongly again in this race. 

DIEGO DELGADO (4) got a long way back last start and was doing his best work late. He is going better than his numerical form suggests.

RACE 4 

ALTA SENSATION (3) was second to Glover last start from a stand start. He has gate speed and looks a race he may be able to lead. 

OBI ONE (7) hit the line strongly last start up the sprint lane. He is likely to appreciate the step back to the 1780 and has options in the early stages. 

MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4) won impressively two starts ago when running over the top late and racing away. Just couldn’t quite reel in the leader Wow You Can Dance last start. 

ESCOBAR (6) has made mistakes in the early stages in recent outings. Can be thereabouts if he does everything right. 

SELECTIONS: ALTA SENSATION (3), OBI ONE (7), MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4), ESCOBAR (6)

SUGGESTED BET: ALTA SENSATION (3) to win. 

RACE 5

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5) is looking to make it a hat-trick in this race after two impressive wins leading all the way. Draws to advantage over the main rivals in this race. 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (6) is dropping right back in grade for this race having taken on stronger company in recent outings. If she can overcome the wide draw she will be hard to beat. 

WANDARY DELIGHT (9) closed off strongly last time out once clear. Likely to be finishing off well again if the tempo suits. 

TREACHEROUS GABBY (8) was just out the placings last start. Her two runs prior she won and finished second appears to be racing well.

RACE 6 

ISLA AND ADDIE (7) has had a month off since her last run. She looks very well placed in this grade having been competitive in stronger in recent outings.

BLISSFULL IDENTITY (9) has placed in his last two starts and appears to be closing in on a win. Got well back last start and couldn’t quite reel in Lara Bay last start. 

AUNTY FRANCES (6) won well two starts ago when going around big odds. Did the work last start and just faded late into fourth. 

THREE CHORD RIFF (3) showed gate speed last start before obtaining a trail and was able to finish off well there into third. 

SELECTIONS: ISLA AND ADDIE (7), BLISSFULL IDENTITY (9), AUNTY FRANCES (6), THREE CHORD RIFF (3)

SUGGESTED BET: BLISSFULL IDENTITY (9) to win. 

RACE 7

TAKING A PUNT (9) showed gate speed first up two runs ago and over raced badly there when tiring into third. Was forced to do the work last start and tired into third. 

ALSROKSTAR (8) closed off strongly behind Reserve Bank last start. Likely to be finishing off well again. 

VICTREE ATOM (7) finished second behind Miss Crunchy two starts ago who has since won impressively again. Will need to navigate what looks a tricky draw on paper. 

BELMER BETTY (3) showed gate speed last start and wasn’t able to find the pegs. Battled on well there late to run fourth.

RACE 8

PROSPECTUS (4) returns from a spell in this race. Trialled up nicely behind The Tiger Army recently at Redcliffe in decent time for this grade. 

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (5) closed off well last start after racing behind the leader. Draws wide in this race which will make his task tougher. 

NUCLEAR BLING (9) made some late ground last start up the inside. Should be finishing off well if she’s able to obtain the right run into it. 

MONTEREY JACK (6) drops into up to 40 grade for this race. He has been racing well and despite the draw he can be thereabouts.
