RACE ONE A tricky race to open the card where R ELEVEN ART (9) might just be able to sneak away with one. A winner three starts back at Redcliffe, he was game in holding on for the bronze here at the mile at his next outing. With even luck, he can capitalise. BRETTS RED (3) takes another step up here but brings winning form after making it successive victories last start. Buried in the run, he was rattling home in the closing stages to arrive and settling closer to the action from this gate can look to throw down a challenge. DIAMOND SHOOZ (2) overcame a wide gate to arrive for a smart win at Redcliffe in slick time. Needing a gap sooner than it arrived two starts back, she can chime in here. WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4) settled deep in the pack last start from outside the second line and with the race tempo controlled from the front, never worked into it. He can be joining in SELECTIONS: R ELEVEN ART (9), BRETTS RED (3), DIAMOND SHOOZ (2), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4) SUGGESTED BET: R ELEVEN ART (9) to win
RACE TWO
Resuming from a spell following his last appearance in the Eureka where he was under 9m from the winner, FREE THINKER (9) looks well placed in qualifying company despite being first up from a spell. Only asked to sprint the last 400 of a preparatory trial, he can return in style. BETTING ORIGIN (3) faded after a tough trip when parked last start over the mile where the speed was on throughout. That followed a similarly tough trip when midfield after pressing across from outside the front line. If finding the front, he can give some cheek. FRANCO MACHO (1) was attacking the line last start when running the winner to a head margin. Strong to the line the start prior, he has the gate to be right in the fight. AQUA SANCTA (6) was making a late raid off a second line gate last start when grabbing the silver behind MOMENTUM SWING. Runner-up three back at this trip, he can join in
SELECTIONS: FREE THINKER (9), BETTING ORIGIN (3), FRANCO MACHO (1), AQUA SANCTA (6) SUGGESTED BET: FREE THINKER (9) to win
RACE THREE
MOSSDALE TERRY (6) is super consistent and was again lining up for some minor money last start when chiming in for the silver behind CALLING BUDDY. That made it nine of his past 10 in the money and he might just have struck the right opposition to sneak a W into the form line. CHEER LEADER (7) was second up from a spell last time out where she was able to overcome a second line gate to descend on them in the closing stages for a narrow victory in a career PB rate. The outside paint makes this much tougher, but tempo will assist he close out hopes. TIGER BY THE TAIL (1) can look to secure the soft trip on the poles, the same position he had last week when missing a minor behind CALLING BUDDY. COLLECT A DIME (8) will likely be positioned three back along the inside from this gate but that could be a good spot to secure a soft trip and chase some minor money in the stretch.
SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (6), CHEER LEADER (7), TIGER BY THE TAIL (1), COLLECT A DIME (8) SUGGESTED BET: MOSSDALE TERRY (6) to win
RACE FOUR
Staring down a hat-trick after successive wins at the mile, CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (3) will look to step it up to the middle trip this week. Eased for position before rattling late to score last start, eh can press forward from this gate and call on the options thereafter to capitalise. BRAEDOS LAD (1) held on for the bronze last start in a slick mile when 6m from the winner CAPTAIN SHUFFLES. Second line gates made it tough in his two prior outings and with the chance to hold a good position from this gate, secures his chance to challenge. TIMS A TROOPER (7) is afforded no favours from the wide gate but continues to work into his campaign after a long stint off the scene. Making good metres last start, he can chime in here. DANGERZONE (8) will appreciate an economical trip against the markers and be searching for space to make a podium play.
SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (3), BRAEDOS LAD (1), TIMS A TROOPER (7), DANGERZONE (8) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 1-7-8
RACE FIVE
With four runners in this mare’s line up, and all four solid hopes, the Turpin stable dominate the discussions for this race. MIKI MAGIC (8) has been in super form since joining the barn and despite a last start 5th, the run was full of merit. A starchy victory when parked two back, she will stalk the speed awaiting the gaps. IMA BEACH BABE (1) defied her years to lead throughout and post a career PB last time out with the 1.53.6 performance. With the gate to protect the poles, she can burrow through and from the front be trying to fend off the challengers. ROBYN X (9) has been runner-up in three of her past five starts, including the past two in succession. Only an eyelash from victory last start, she can be joining in down the stretch. AARDIES MONEY (10) overcame an error last start to take out a mare’s qualifier after starting in red figures. Striking trouble the start prior, the gate makes this a tough assignment. SELECTIONS: MIKI MAGIC (8), IMA BEACH BABE (1), ROBYN X (9), AARDIES MONEY (10) SUGGESTED BET: MIKI MAGIC (8) to win
RACE SIX Starting 2025 where he left 2024, CALLING BUDDY (7) was able to take them all the way here last start to make it five in succession. Running a slick mile two starts back, he controlled it through a sub 55 last 800 of the middle trip last time. The gate is the stinger, but he looks up to it. HIRANYA (8) comes up with the second line options as the only trailer in the field. Eased from the wide gate and not far off them in FFA company last start, he was best of the chasers in the Track record run of DUKE OF SCOTLAND the start prior. ALTA MAGACIAN (2) covered plenty of the track from a wide gate last start and was not too far from the winner when 7m astern. Settling handy can see him in the mix here. LANAI (5) is a run on performer and the smaller field will assist his pattern in making a late raid in the stretch, following his strong close out for 3rd last time.
SELECTIONS: CALLING BUDDY (7), HIRANYA (8), ALTA MAGACIAN (2), LANAI (5) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN A strong and competitive trot race made interesting by the barrier draw. HIDE AND SEEK (7) has really hit his straps to find his rhythm and was able to round out the year with a hat-trick when pressing on from a 10m tape and then putting them away with a 56.5 last half. He can press forward to nullify gate 7. NOT AS PROMISED (8) returned from 12 months off the scene with an effortless victory here last week when pressing to the front and controlling it with a 5m margin on the wire. He receives no favours from this gate and will be searching for a way clear to challenge. IS THAT A BID (10) started from the 10m tape last start and from back in the pack was always facing a task with a slick tempo set from the front. A return to mobile conditions is a plus. GOLDEN SUNSET (2) returns to mobile conditions where she has great early hustle out of the machine. Claiming victory at her past two in succession from the tapes, she is right in this.
SELECTIONS: HIDE AND SEEK (7), NOT AS PROMISED (8), IS THAT A BID (10), GOLDEN SUNSET (2) SUGGESTED BET: HIDE AND SEEK (7) to win
RACE EIGHT Fitter following three runs back from a spell, MAJORITA JUJON (1) comes up with the ideal gate to get her 4YO term on the board. Working home wide off the track last start when midfield, she set the tempo in a 3YO contest two starts back and can look to dictate here. AURORA JOY (5) is a model of consistency with placings in five of her past six starts. Beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating and then trying to make a closing raid in grabbing the bronze, she was under 2m from SWEET GEORGIA BROWN two starts back. Look for her charging. ALWAYSBEALADY (3) was first up in Qld last time out when sent to the post as the fav but unable to land in the money with a midfield finish. She stays under watch. RAINBOWSEND (10) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when luckless from inside the second line and unable to find clear space.
SELECTIONS: MAJORITA JUJON (1), AURORA JOY (5), ALWAYSBEALADY (3), RAINBOWSEND (10) SUGGESTED BET: MAJORITA JUJON (1) to win
RACE NINE Another race that the Turpin stable hold all the aces with four of the seven acceptors representing their barn. DELE ROW (6) will be first up from a spell after his 3YO term was shut down following a head 2nd behind BRONSKI ZULU in the Triad. With a sound trial, he can strike fresh. BRONSKI ZULU (7) has the fitness edge on his rivals after four runs back from a spell, however, gives away the gate advantage. Sitting parked when missing the money behind ATTACHMENT last start, he can look to bounce back here. RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (5) is the only mare in the field and will be first up following her Triad victory back in August. Just missing the money in the Qld Oaks the start prior, she has claims. CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (4) secured the Triad Consolation at his last race start when grabbing a narrow verdict. From the gate he can be thereabouts first up.
SELECTIONS: DELE ROW (6), BRONSKI ZULU (7), RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (5), CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (4) SUGGESTED BET: DELE ROW (6) to win
