The Hayden will headline a huge night of racing at Albion Park, with the winner qualifying for the $2.1 million TAB Eureka.
Named after one of Australia’s greatest ever test batsmen in Matthew Hayden, the race will honour a much loved and highly regarded Queenslander, who is known for his grit, determination and strength.
Slots were purchased via auction at the Sunshine Stars Yearling sale, with an additional $131,000 raised via the auction added to the $100,000 prize money contributed by Racing Queensland.
