BanksRace 1: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres STANDOVER – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Slow into stride.I’M CHILLIN’ – Travelled wide for the majority and hung out rounding the home turn.STYLISH SON – The bridle came undone approaching the home turn causing the gelding to hang out taking SPECK OF GOLD wider on the track and then shifted out on several occasions down the home straight hampering SPECK OF GOLD further.SPECK OF GOLD – Hampered rounding the home turn and down the straight by an inside runner. Jockey B. Thomson was fined $200 for using the whip prior to the 100m more than five times.Race 2: ARAMAC HOTEL / ARAMAC CUT PRICE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres NATURALLYBLOND – Slow to begin and tended to hang out for the majority of the event.MISHANI ISTANA – Fractious in barrier prior to jumping.CHANDELIER LASS – Hung out down the home straight hampering Windsor Castle just prior to the finish post. Jockey R. Achini stated the filly was difficult to hold especially when the reins were sweaty. Jockey R. Achini was reprimanded and reminded of his obligation when shifting ground. Trainer D. O’Brien was advised stewards need to see an improvement in racing manners next start.WINDSOR CASTLE – Eased and changed course when an inside runner shifted ground not sufficiently clear shortly before the finish post.Race 3: BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL / CURR FAMILY CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres CHOSEN SON – Jumped outwards making heavy contact with BILLY JAY. BILLY JAY – Heavily contacted at the start losing ground and then raced ungenerously throughout due to the extremely dusty track conditions.LAST PARDEE – Fractious in barriers prior to the start.SERGEANT SHRIVER – Slow to begin and travelled wide for the majority. Jockey B. Thomson stated the gelding didn’t handle the dirt track or the dust.Race 4: ELDERS / COOLA CARPETS & FURNITURE BM 50 HANDICAP - 1400 metres STRIKE ZONE and FRISCO were late scratchings at 12 noon as there were no riders available.READY FOR ROYALTY – Was declared a non runner as the gates did not open correctly when the start was affected.
