Race 1: PERFECTION FRESH QTIS BM 50 H’CAP – 1212M

ITALIAN QUEEN – Slow to begin.

METALLIC POINT – Began awkwardly.

Race 2: SUNFAM MAIDEN PLATE – 850M

CIMARRON KID – After being fractious in the enclosure and on the track, dislodging rider S. Bayliss on two occasions the gelding was unable to be remounted and was declared late scratching at 1:38pm. On declaration of correct weight, stewards ordered that all bets on CIMARRON KID be refunded in full with deductions of 23 cents win and 23 cents place on face value all winning bets to apply.

Trainer M. Bailey was advised that the gelding would require an official barrier trial prior to presenting to the races again.

Rider S. Bayliss was cleared by QAS to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.

FRANKY COLD MEDINA – Approaching the 400m had to steady from heels. Rider L. Londregan (DAZZA’S REWARD) was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

SAMUEL JAMES – Inclined to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

App. A. Van Der Sanden (FYNNSTAR) was fined $100 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to 100m.

Race 3: PACIFIC GOLD CLASS B H’CAP – 1090M

INFNITE MISS – Slow to muster speed.

BRAWNY BABE – Bumped at start.

RUN ‘EM RAGGED – Raced wide throughout.

STAR OF AQUARIUS – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer T. Hess was advised that a vet certificate would be required prior to racing again.

App. A. Spinks (BY CONCENT) was fined $200 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to 100m.

Race 4: RABO BANK PATRON’S TROPHY OPEN H’CAP – 1090M

Correct weight was delayed for stewards and all connections to view patrol footage leaving 800m. After viewing the footage all parties were satisfied and correct weight declared on judge’s numbers.

CRAIGLEA MASTER – Blundered at the start.

SEEN A HOST – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: SUGARLAND SHOPPINGTOWN BM 45 H’CAP – 1600M

GLENROCK MAX– On request of trainer N. Boyd the gelding was veterinary examined on arrival to course and cleared fit to race. Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages.

DAYAN – Was fractious during preliminary landing on its side, dislodging rider J. Hoopert whom declared himself free from injury and fulfilled his engagement. On arrival to barriers was then examined by club Vet and to cleared fit to race. Trainer A. Mead was advised a warning would be placed on the Mare’s pre race manners. Slow to begin.

ISIS SPINNER – Rider L. Londregan reported that the gelding resented the kick back and elected to travel wide from the 800m onwards.

Race 6: CHALET MOTOR INN BM 60 H’CAP – 1380M

METALIC POINT – After competing in Race 1 underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin.

BALINESE BOY – Slow to begin and bumped shortly after the start.

Rider L. Londregan (KING KAHN) was fined $200 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to 100m.


Rider A. Taylor (WORTHY HERO) was fined $300 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to 100m.
