Race 1: PETER MOODY BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP - 1400m
1st – CARBON TAIKUN 2nd – BENCHORY LASS 3rd – AXFORD 4th – PROJECT COMPASSION

ZAPATA FALLS – Trainer W. Baker was fined $100 for failing to produce the ID card for the gelding.

CARBON TAIKUN – Began awkwardly and lost ground, then was tightened for room shortly after the start.

BANCHORY LASS – Brushed the running rail near the 1300m.

MISS OLIMAC – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.


Race 2: SUMMER BRIGHT LAGER MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m
1st – DIAMOND KAZ 2nd – JAMOBY GIRL 3rd – ROCKONI 4th – FLAMBOYANT MISS

GUSTAVUS VASSA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.

DENMAN DAME – Slow to begin. Trailed the field throughout. Trainer R. Connolly was advised a warning would be placed on the filly for being uncompetitive.

JAMOBY GIRL – Apprentice L. Tilley reported at scale that the filly, which was having its first start on a sand track, resented the kickback and hung out throughout the event.

ROCKONI – Apprentice N. Morton reported at scale that the gelding hung in throughout the event.


Race 3: GORDON LINES MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0-45 H'CAP– 800m
1st – CAST OUT 2nd – TENMOREGRAND 3rd – RODEL 4th – RAVELLING

MIRFAK – Slow to begin.

DIVA MISS – Blundered at the start and lost ground.


Race 4: HAHN SUPER DRY 3.5 QTIS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1000m
1st – DESTINED FOR WAR 2nd – GIRLS SAY 3rd – NAYTELLRHI WORLD 4th – FINAL RUN

The start of this race was delayed when SKY DISK dislodged Apprentice G. Leung and escaped riderless. SKY DISK was declared at late scratching at 3.33pm by order of Stewards, with the following deductions applicable:

0 cents in the dollar for the winner #1
5 cents in the dollar for the place of winner #1
11 cents in the dollar for second place #5
11 cents in the dollar for third place #4
