This then triggered the remaining stalls to open intermittently with all runners breaking through. All runners with the exception of MONTANUS and POLAR BLITZ were restrained after travelling varying distances. After taking evidence from all riders engaged in the event, and official starter Mr. D. Land, Stewards declared the race void acting under AR139 and ordered all monies invested on the event be refunded.
