Race 1: Route 66 QTIS Maiden Plate- 1000 METRES

ALL THE TRICKS- Made contact with another runner and lost some ground. Shortly after the start, took a number of awkward strides. Near 350 metres, lay inwards. Contact with another runner which shifted out near 150 metres.

SON OF SAGA- Slow to begin.

HAYYLER’S ILLUSION- Slow to begin. Near 600 metres, shifted out from the heels of another runner. Near 350 metres, tightened and placed in restricted room. Near 150 metres shifted out and made contact with another runner. Shifted ground over the concluding stages when another runner shifted out slightly.

FLAMBOYANT MISS- Near the 600 metres, raced keenly and was eased from heels of another runner.

Race 2: Central Highland Insurance Services Class 3 Plate- 1000 METRES

CAUGHT SWITCHING- Declared a late scratching at 8.30am due to no available rider.

FERRIGNO- Difficult to load.

WOLF HUNTER- Hung out for the majority of the race.

HAMILTON- Raced three wide without cover throughout.

PRINCESS RHYTHM- A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities. Connection may give the filly a spell.

Race 3: Emerald Office Supplies Class B Handicap- 1200 METRES

ATLANTIS CITY- Slow to begin.

ERNIE’S WORLD- Slow into stride.

THAT’S THE PLAN- Raced wide in the early stages.

Race 4: Highland Meats Emerald Newmarket Open Handicap- 1200 METRES

ELIJAY ATOM- Jumped out and hampered another runner.

GOWER- Hampered on jumping when another runner jumped out.

TOP ROYAL- Jumped in and hampered another runner.

HALFBLOOD PRINCE- Hampered on jumping and was eased to race at rear of the field.

DOCTOR DAVID- Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Red Doors Catering BM 45 Handicap- 1615 METRES

YOU CAN’T BE- Tightened when another runner jumped inwards.

MISS SNIPSTER- Jumped in at the start.

PURPLE EMPEROR- Pulled hard in the early and middle stages.

SET TO POUNCE- Rider advised to stop using whip when out of contention. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the horse had an injury to its off fore tendon and was treated. Trainer advised the gelding would now be retired.

Race 6: Maraboon Tavern Emerald Cup Open Handicap- 1615 METRES

BARCELONA BOUND- Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in near the 900 metres and on occasions in the straight.
