RACE 1: OZ LAV PLUMBING QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1600M

BOY DRAMA – Bumped near the 200m.

EXTREME STYLE – Began awkwardly. Had to be steadied near the 200m when awkwardly placed at heels and shifted out, bumping another runner.

GRAN SABANA – Raced wide throughout without cover. When questioned regarding the horse’s disappointing performance, apprentice L. Tilley stated that it was his intention to lead or race in a forward position, however the gelding failed to show the necessary speed to take up a forward position. He added that from the 600m the gelding commenced to lose ground and was disappointing. He further indicated to stewards that the gelding may not be suited to the tight turning track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

ROCKY EXPECTATIONS – Raced wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to take up the lead near the 1000m

CITRUS WISH – Slow into stride.

OUR BAAGAN – Slow to begin. Finished a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off hind leg. Trainer B. Mason was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required for the horse prior to it being permitted to race again.

RACE 2: LOCKYER PRODUCE MAIDEN H'CAP – 1400M

JONDY GLO – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.

DUMFRIES – Held up from leaving the 400m until approaching the 200m and was then obliged to shift back to the inside to obtain clear running.

LUCKY APACHE – Raced wide throughout.

VEGANER – Hampered at the start.

LORD DARIUS – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner.

TE RANGI – Bumped at the start.

SNACK ON THE RUN – Had to be steadied from heels near the 900m.

RACE 3: RAY BACHMANN REAL ESTATE RATINGS BAND 0-60 – H'CAP – 2000M

CASINO GOLD – Jockey A. Spinks reported at scale that in his opinion the horse was not comfortable on the tight turning track.

CHEEKYBOI – Caught wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to take up a position outside the leader near the 1200m.

KNIGHT ERRANT – Raced wide from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer D. Bell indicated to stewards that it was now his intention to recommend to connections to send the gelding for a spell.

TEQUILA SLAMMER – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. Raced wide from the 700m.

SPANISH EYES – Tightened for room at the start.

AIMING HIGH – Tightened for room at the start. Near the 400m had to be steadied from the heels of CASINO GOLD, which shifted in.

RACE 4: MCNIEL FARMS F&M CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1100M

DANCE HALO – Apprentice H. English reported at scale that her mount was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event.

STEAL A DIAMOND – Dislodged rider on the way to the barriers. Underwent a veterinary examination after arriving at the barriers and cleared to start.

HIDDEN REIGN – Raced three wide without cover.

LADY DICTATOR – Began awkwardly and then a short distance later was hampered when tightened for room, losing ground. Commenced to overrace approaching the 600m and had to be restrained from heels.

PLENTY OF CASH – Raced wide throughout.

PROUDER – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for clear running for a short distance near the 300m and then was obliged to shift wider on the track to obtain clear running.

RACE 5: LOCKYER HOTEL FOREST HILL C,G&E CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1100M

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to view the video of the start of the race. After reviewing the films and taking evidence from the starter, it was ascertained that LE CHACAL broke through the gates simultaneously as the start was effected, gaining an advantage, however stewards could not be satisfied that this had any material effect on the running of the race or the placings at the finish.

GO THE GANTRY – Inclined to hang out for the majority of the home straight.

ROUGH EDDIE – Had to be steadied near the 800m when placed in restricted room for a short distance.

ROCKLORD – Began awkwardly.

A SNIP OF CAPTAIN – Had to be steadied from the heels of SPEAR OF DESTINY near the 300m. Apprentice J. Oliver reported to stewards that his mount was inclined to hang out at the top of the straight, proving difficult to ride, and for this reason he did not test his mount over the concluding stages. Whilst stewards were mindful of the horse’s characteristics, they nevertheless reminded apprentice Oliver to ensure he rides his mounts out to the end of the race.

LE CHACAL – Raced wide throughout.

NAUTICAL LAD – After finishing a distant last, jockey A. Spinks advised stewards that the bit had been pulled through the horse’s mouth, resulting in him being unable to test his mount.


RACE 6: COOK'S TPT LOCKYER LIGHTING SUNDAY JUNE 12 CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1100M

BAKER BOY – Tightened for room at the start. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight and then was held up over the concluding stages.

GOLFING – Tightened for room at the start.

ONE IN ONE OUT – Raced wide throughout.

BIZARRE ROCK – Placed in restricted room for a short distance near the 800m.

KYLIE’S ROCKING – Slow to begin.

LEAD HUSSON – Tightened for room at the start.

SNOW ROBIN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

RACE 7: ROYAL HOTEL GATTON CUP SUNDAY JUNE 12 RATINGS BAND 0-55 H'CAP – 1400M

IT’S ALL IRISH – Raced three wide throughout.

JOLLY BOY – Held up rounding the home turn.

PURE INTELLIGENCE – Raced wide throughout.

HEY MURRI – Began awkwardly.

DIAGNOSE – Held up for a short distance approaching the 300m. Had to be steadied when awkwardly placed at heels near the 100m.

SHANTICO – Had some difficulty obtaining clear running shortly after entering the home straight and then near the 100m had to be steadied when laying in across heels.

ZANY LASS – Raced wide throughout.

COVER UP – Raced wide throughout.
