O’Connell was injured, Apprentice T. Williams was substituted as the rider of the gelding. Raced wide in the middle stages.GENERAL KINGSMAN – Tightened for room at the start. Apprentice H. English reported the gelding was reluctant to stretch out in the early stages.BLACK SALT – Raced wide throughout.ALL IN TIME – When questioned regarding the performance, jockey M. O’Brien reported that the gelding was not suited by the fast tempo of today’s event, and performs better in races over a longer distance than today’s event. Trainer M. Park agreed with the comments and indicated he would be looking for races over a longer distance going ahead with the gelding’s preparation.Race 2: COMBINED HOTELIERS MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m1st – LILLY RUSH 2nd – HAMMERACK 3rd – OUR BOY MONTY 4th – WARDEHFIRM STAND – Difficult to load. Trainer T. Dougall was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.THE SPIRIT OF JAZZ – Jockey S. Bayliss reported the mare raced greenly and hung out rounding the first turn. Raced wide for the majority of the event.GROSSALOCKNER – Bumped at the start. Forced wider on the track near the 900m.HAMMERACK – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Apprentice L. Tilley reported the gelding was reluctant to race between horses and checked of its own accord near the 400m.TRAMPS ‘N’ THIEVES – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice H. Bayliss returned to scale distressed, was attended to by the on-course ambulance officers and stood down from his remaining ride.
