Race Day Stewards’ Report HOME HILL THOROUGHBREDSDate: Saturday 14th November, 2020Weather: FineTrack: Good 4Rail: In True Position Stewards Panel: P Lane, C WarrenOfficials: D Viero (Veterinarian/Sample Collection Officer), T Davies (Judge), J Cullen (Starter), Stewards (Clerk of Scales) Race 1. DAZZLING BLUE BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m GOLDEN CHARLES- Bumped with another runner on jumping. Shifted out and bumped with another runner after being crossed by a further runner approaching the 800m. POWER OF DIVAS- Buffeted between runners on jumping. TELL EVERYBODY- Bumped by another runner on jumping. Bumped by another runner which shifted out approaching the 800m. EXELANT MOSH- Began awkwardly. COUSIN MUSCLES- Fractious in the mounting yard. Trainer S Potiris was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s pre-race manners. SIN TAN- Commenced to hang out from the 500m shifting very wide on the track and finished tailed off. Trainer R Nelson was advised the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race. Race 2. SPEARRITT’S JEWELLERS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000m RAIN ON ME - Fractious in the barrier. Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly. REDESKI - Slowly into stride. DANCE AROUND - Slowly in to stride and raced wide for the majority. DUTCH ROCKET - Had to be restrained off heals for some distance passing the 800m. CHARGING CLEAR – Trainer Mr A Molino was fined the sum of $100 after the mare was presented to race without blinkers. Raced wide from the 500m. JACKS DREAM - Raced wide for the majority. ARTE ET MARTE - Had to be switched out around heels near the 100m to obtain clear running. Race 3. HOME HILL NEWS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1180m The start of this race was delayed after QUEZMAR became fractious prior to entering the parade yard and as result sustained a fracture to the near hind leg. Quezmar, which was subsequently euthanised on humane grounds, was withdrawn by order of Stewards at 3pm. MOGALAKWENA - Began awkwardly. BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Shifted in near the 100m bumping a runner to its inside. HARRINGTON - Bumped by another runner near the 100m. MAHIS MONELLO – Raced greenly rounding the home turn. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on QUEZMAR be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 3pm be subject to deductions of 33 cents in the dollar win and 29 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. Race 4. JADE BODY FASHIONS CLASS B HANDICAP 1460m METRO MISSILE – Slowly away. MURTALLICA – Had to be restrained off heels passing the 900m and again passing the 400m. Race 5.
