She added that when asked to improve into the race the horse failed to respond as she had anticipated and in her opinion was disappointing. Trainer R. Harrison advised that two starts ago the horse raced in a forward position and last start again it was the intention to ride in that position, however the horse met with interference at the start and then again shortly after the start, which resulted in it settling further back than anticipated. Jockey Harrison further advised that today the intention was to ride in a position forward of midfield, however after being caught wide in the early stages she elected to ride forward and eventually obtained the lead near the 1000m.OUR JAMAICA – Steadied from heels rounding the home turn.LEGAL CODE – Raced three wide in the early stages.RACE 5: CHANNEL 7 C,G&E CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1350MBRAZEN MOSS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.CONFRONTING – Slow to begin and as a result settled further back in the field than anticipated. Trainer subsequently reported the horse was sore over the back, neck and wither and would receive chiropractic treatment in the coming days as it may have jarred up thereby contributing to the disappointing performance..I AM THE SCULPTOR – Slow to muster speed. Had to be steadied to avoid heels when shifting out to obtain clear running shortly after entering the home straight.KWANZA – Bumped heavily by another runner approaching the winning post.COCOA BAR – Blundered shortly after the start. Steadied from heels over the concluding stages.MONSTER OF ENERGY – Forced to steady to avoid heels on two occasions approaching the 100m.WINNING ACCORD – Steadied when placed in restricted room at the 100m. When asked to comment on the performance, trainer B. Hill was of the opinion that gelding was not comfortable on today's firm surface.OUR ROCK O'REILLY – Checked when tightened for room approaching the winning post. At a subsequent inquiry it was established that over the concluding stages COCOA BAR (R. McMahon), when attempting a narrow run between KWANZA and YABA DABL DOYA (B. Ainsworth), had to be steadied and shifted in abruptly to avoid the heels of YABA DABL DOYA, which itself shifted in marginally. As stewards could not be satisfied that either apprentice Ainsworth or jockey McMahon could be held fully accountable for the incident, the matter was taken no further.RACE 6: QUEENSLAND TIMES F&M CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1350MRAFFINATO – Shifted out over the concluding stages and made contact with another runner.DON'T TELL MAMA – Raced three wide without cover.GAME OF FAME – Trainer R. Heathcote advised that it would be the intention to have the horse ridden in a mid/handy position if circumstances permit. RACE 7: SKY RACING RATINGS BAND 0-70 H’CAP – 1200MCorrect weight was delayed while stewards considered whether an objection should be lodged on behalf of the connections of PATRONIZING, placed 4th by the Judge, against the winner DON'T DENY US as a result of interference over the concluding stages. After viewing the videos and bearing in mind the margin separating both runners at the finish, stewards elected not to enter an objection.SMOKE HAZARD – Steadied at the 600m when placed in restricted room to the inside of ABRACADASH (M. Cahill). M. Cahill was advised to exercise more care.STORM CRAZY – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. Hung out rounding the turn near the 500m.BAKER BOY – Raced four wide without cover throughout.PATRONIZING – Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Tightened for room and checked near the 50m when DON'T DENY US shifted out when insufficiently clear. Apprentice A. Denby, the rider of DON'T DENY US, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift out at that point, causing the interference. Apprentice Denby's licence to ride in races was suspended for 11 days, to commence at midnight on Friday 27 May and expire at midnight on Tuesday 7 June 2016. ABRACADASH – On returning to scale M. Cahill reported that he was forced to do a reasonable amount of work in the early stages to obtain his forward position. He added, however, that despite this he was somewhat disappointed with the finishing effort of the mare over the concluding stages. M. Cahill did, however, note that the horse was racing second up from a considerable spell today and as such would take a fitness benefit from the race. Trainer K. Wood stated that his instructions were to gain a handy position with cover, however noted that the mare was forced to race wide in the early stages. Mr Wood added that jockey Cahill was unable to restrain to obtain cover and therefore elected to press forward to clear the two runners racing to his inside but was unable to do so until a point passing the 600m. Mr Wood also noted that BAKER BOY, which was racing forward and to the outside, was placing further pressure on the mare and in his opinion this combined pressure in the early and middle stages had a detrimental effect on the mare's overall performance.RACE 8: XXXX SUMMER CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1020MLE CHEF – Hung out from the 500m until entering the home straight, and whilst hanging out was forced wider on the track by another runner. When questioned as to the horse's performance, apprentice S. Eilbeck reported that the gelding never felt comfortable in its action throughout the event and when asked to improve into the race from the 600m commenced to hang out and shifted wider on the track. Apprentice Eilbeck added that over the concluding stages the gelding changed stride and dipped and for that reason she did not continue to pressure the horse. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings other than that the horse displayed a stiff gait. Trainer Mr. D. Hansen reported that the gelding appears to have pulled up fine from its performance today and will continue with the current preparation.HONEY KO – Hung out from the 500m until entering the home straight.RUSTIC PLAY – Began awkwardly and then was tightened for room at the start and lost ground.RACE 9: THE ENTIRE GROUP BM70 H’CAP – 1700MMAGNATUNE – Began awkwardly.SANKARA SPIRIT – Held up approaching the home turn.
