SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:


Race 1: BILL SULLIVAN MAIDEN PLATE (SW) 1000m

LITTLE BOMBER – Overraced when being restrained from heels and shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of the rider at the 700m. Trainer G. Teal was advised a warning would be placed on the horse's racing manners. Held up at the home turn.

DEEP CREEK LAD – Raced in restricted room shortly after the start.

SOME EXCEL – Shifted out abruptly at the finishing post affecting runners to the outside. Trainer B. Robinson was advised the horse would have to trial before its next start.

AMBER JET – Raced wide throughout, hung in the middle stages. Bumped with another runner and became unbalanced at the 700m.

FOR ME ARGENTINA - When questioned about the improvement of his horse, Trainer J. Smith advised stewards the horse was working well and that it was its first start for the stable.

LEADING STORY – Bumped with another runner, becoming unbalanced at the 700m.

BLUBYTWO - Tightened for room at the start.

KAPACHINO MISS – Tightened for room at the start. Raced wide throughout, shifting wider at the home turn. Apprentice English reported that her mount hung out throughout the event.

DEAR MARY – Slow to begin

IRISH DARK - Bumped with another runner, becoming unbalanced at the 700m.


Race 2: DALBY BUSINESS HOUSES RATINGS BAND 0-45 HANDICAP 1000m

LEILA’S CALL – Apprentice Grace Willoughby was fined $300 under AR.137A for using the whip six times prior to the 100m.

MISTER LOOSEEL – Examined by the veterinary surgeon at the gates and found to be lame in the off hind. Declared a late scratching by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice at 1:55pm. All moneys invested on Mister Looseel were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable:

1st Place – Himalayan Wolf- Eight cents in the dollar for the win and ten cents in the dollar for the place.

2nd Place – Mustola Gold – Seven cents in the dollar for the place.

3rd Place - Red Warning – Eight cents in the dollar for the place.


HIMALAYAN WOLF – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Trainer J. Smith reported that it was the horse’s first run for the stable and that it was working well, however there was no stable support for the horse. Jockey N. Nishio was reprimanded for his celebratory gesture prior to the finishing line. He was also reminded of his obligations regarding the use of the whip above shoulder height.

THAT’S THE PLAN – Raced wide throughout.

DAIQUIRI BELLE – Raced wide throughout.

BRAZEN JAKE – Slow to begin.

Race 3: JANDOWAE MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m

FIELDS OF OXLEY – Steadied when placed in restricted room near the 1000m

DANGEROUS DANICA – Made contact with another runner near the 150m.

GET THAT INDYA – Raced wide in the early stages before taking up a forward position from the 1000m. Made contact with another runner near the 150m.

Race 4: JANDOWAE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1500m

TIVERON – When questioned regarding poor performance, rider S. Bayliss reported that his mount was disadvantaged by the seven day back up from its previous run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

STORM MAGIC - Slow to begin, laid in under pressure down the home straight.

I’M THE ONE – Hung out around the home turn.

Race 5: JANDOWAE BUSINESS HOUSES CLASS B HANDICAP 1500m

HUSSY FIVE OH – Steadied when placed in restricted room near the 1100m

HEZA CHUMLEY – Laid in under pressure down the home straight.

DESTINY’S DESIRE – Tightened for room shortly after the start.

HAMMERJACK – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Steadied off heels in the concluding stages.

ALL APPLES – Raced wide throughout.
