Race 1: HONOURING WOMEN IN WAR QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres

STAR OF ISAAC was a late scratching at 1:24pm on veterinary advice. No deductions recorded as no bets had been placed on the race. Trainer K. Laffin was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding racing again.

ACCEPTING – Tended to hang out down the home straight.

OUTBACK ROYAL – Slow into stride.

SON OF SAGA – Slow to begin.

YARD GLASS – Lunged downwards as the start was effected losing ground.

NOBODY’S FOOL – Resented the kick back in the early stages of the event.

CHANDELIER LASS – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race and ran about down the home straight.


Race 2: RSL CENTENARY BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

ANOTHER SHADE – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.

GO SAI – Shifted ground approaching the 600m tightening runners to the inside. Jockey C. Dixon was cautioned and reminded of his obligation when shifting ground. Made contact with I’M CHILLIN’ at the 120m when going for a run.

BONTEMPELLI – Eased at the 600m when an inside runner shifted ground. Travelled wide in the latter stages of the event.

BUDDY ROCKS – Travelled wide for the majority.

I’M CHILLIN’ – Contacted at the 120m by outside runner.

SPECK OF GOLD – Eased at the 600m when outside runner shifted ground.

Race 3: F.J. MCKEON MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1300 metres

MIGHTY SAVANNAH – Jumped inwards making contact with an inside runner causing the gelding to be slow away.

ARMANI PRINCE – Contacted at the start and slow into stride. Leaving the 600m was awkward for several strides and regarding performance jockey J. Babarovich stated the horse was racing ungenerously and could not attribute any reason.

DANCE TO INSPIRE – Approaching the 600m dipped sharply and was awkward in her action and was eased out of the race. While the rider expressed concern for the mare, a post race veterinary inspection showed no abnormalities.

Race 4: ANZAC DAY DIGGERS CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres

CONQUISTADOR – Slow to begin.

NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Slow to begin and slow into stride.

SHOW US A SMILE – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.

Race 5: RSL MEMORIAL SERVICES CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE - 1600 metres

READY FOR ROYALTY – Slow to begin and slow into stride.

INSTINCTIVE MOVE – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.

KOMODO – Jumped inwards making contact with inside runner, tightened momentarily at the 80m when runners either side shifted ground.

SPURSYN – Contacted at the start losing ground.
