Race 1: XXXX Gold Class 6 Plate - 1200 metres
1st - GYPSY SECRET 2nd - CASINO THOUGHTS 3rd - COURT LANE 4th - FROM THE DARKNESS
FROM THE DARKNESS - Stood flat-footed at the start and was slow to begin. Jockey A. Coome was reprimanded under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the gelding on 3 occasions more than permitted under the rule. In determining penalty stewards took into account Jockey Coome's good record in relation to the rule.
Race 2: Racing Gala Ball - Sat 11 March BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st - BOLD AVENUE 2nd - THE THOMAS AFFAIR 3rd - TURKEY BEACH 4th - LEGAL PROCEDURE
GREEN EMPIRE - Made contact with another runner on jumping.
TURKEY BEACH - Made contact with another runner on jumping.
STAR FURY - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities.
COURTZIG - Raced keenly in the early stages. Trainer C. Thompson was advised that the mare will now be sent for a spell.
Race 3: Become a Club 150 Member Maiden Plate - 1300 metres
1st ABE'S BABY - 2nd - AMAZON RULER 3rd - SWEET NOTE 4th - FIRST REGRET
AZIRAP – Trainer advised stewards that horse would be ridden forward if circumstances permitted. The horse was ridden accordingly and took up a midfield position.
FIRST REGRET - Apprentice D. Evans advised stewards that the gelding would be ridden forward if circumstances permitted. The gelding was ridden accordingly and took up a midfield position. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
GUINIGI PRINCE - Began awkwardly and made contact with SWEET NOTE (Jockey J. Taylor).
GENERAL BEERS - Slow to begin. Near the 500 metres shifted out, resulting in GUINIGI PRINCE having to alter course.
AMAZON RULER - Jockey N. Callow reported that after being slowly away he took up a position back in the field.
PRINCESS TORIO - Jockey D. Hayse advised stewards that he had been instructed to take up a rearward position.
LITTLE RED ANGEL - Raced wide without cover throughout.
OUR HAPPY RAIN - Slow to begin and then raced wide without cover.
Race 4: Book Your Function At Callaghan Park Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st - SHIGERU MAHOGANY 2nd - SAINTLY PRO 3rd - BOLD PEAK 4th - TRIGGER LAD
REGGIE ROCKET and BOLD PEAK - Made contact on jumping.
FUTUREAL - Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
BUCK THE SYSTEM and TRIGGER LAD - made contact shortly after the start.
BUCK THE SYSTEM began awkwardly and raced keenly in the early stages and then raced wide without cover.
Race 5: Hahn 3.5 QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap - 1100 metres
1st - BOLD SHOT 2nd - RUSTY SCOOTER 3rd - FLAT TO STACK 4th - FABULOUS CHILD
SECURITY BELLE - Was fractious when being loaded into the barriers. The filly was removed from the barriers, inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Began awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the performance
Jockey Callow stated that the horse had travelled well throughout, however its pre-race manners may have affected its performance. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any apparent abnormalities.
UNCANNY REASON - Shortly after the start made contact with BOLD SHOT.
ROWDY RONDA - Hung out in the middle stages and raced 3 wide without cover.
Race 6: 2017 Cap Sales - Sunday 2 April BenchMark 55 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st- LOOKSLIKERAIN 2nd - HYPER DRIVE 3rd - OUR GIRL CHARLOTTE 4th - GAMBIT
BIRDIE BLITZ - Began very awkwardly.
OUR GIRL CHARLOTTE - Slow to begin. Apprentice Q. Krogh was reprimanded under AR. 137A for using his whip on the mare 3 times more than permitted under the rules.
LET ME SAY THIS - Slow to begin.
FOREST MAGIC - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
THAT'S WOODY - Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
BILO BAR - Began awkwardly, threw its head in the air and raced wide with cover.
GAMBIT - Near the 400 metres improved onto the heels of FOREST MAGIC, which was tiring, shifted out and took THAT’S WOODY wider.
