Trainer Mr D Gardiner was fined $100 for not scratching the gelding by the required time.Correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of SHADA PAREE to view the start in regard to being declared a non runner. After looking at the video stewards denied the application and felt the filly had every opportunity to jump with the rest of the field.EXCITED DREAM – Rider R Faehr was fined $200 for excessive use of whip prior to the100 metres. SEALEGS LILY – After being fractious in the barriers was slow to jump and then raced wide throughout. Trainer Ms S McEwan was notified that a warning be placed against the filly for her barrier manners. Toi1 - 1:30PM HOTEL CECIL Maiden Plate (1100 METRES) Race 1 - 1:30PM HOTEL CECIL MaideRACE 2: DATAWAVE BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1100mWONDERFUL TESS – Was declared a late scratching at 8.30am on Vets advice.CANID – Shifted in approaching the 800 metres causing some tightening to runners to its inside. Apprentice H. English was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.TELEPHOTO – Had to be steadied when tightened for room near the 800 metres.ONLINES – Had to be steadied off heels at the 800 metres.RACE 3: THE COM.PUB BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1100mCorrect weight was delayed to allow the rider of GLENTHORN AVENUE placed third to view the photo finish print for second. After doing so he was agreeable with the judge’s decision and correct weight was given on the numbers semaphored.SHOULDA TO SHOULDEA – Shifted in after passing the 800 metres. Post race examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer Mr K Munce was advised the gelding would be ineligible to race for three months and allowed to resume racing only after galloping 1000 metres in the presence of Stewards to their satisfaction.SEAZA – Tired over the final stages and finished a distant last. When questioned regarding its poor performance Trainer S McEwan advised Stewards that in light of today’s run the gelding would now be retired from racing. On this undertaking Stewards took no further action. RACE 4: BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 850mCorrect weight was delayed to allow the rider of the CHOSEN COURT placed third to view the photo finish print for second. After doing so he was agreeable with the judge’s decision and correct weight was given on the numbers semaphored.MOLLARA – Post race examination revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer Mr G Richardson was advised the mare would be ineligible to race for three months and allowed to resume racing only after galloping over 1000 metres in presence of Stewards to their satisfaction.I AM MCLOVIN – Raced wide in the early stages.BY CONTENT- Raced wide approaching the home turn. After passing the 400 metres the saddle shifted to the near side placing the rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Then after passing the winning post and on pulling up Apprentice A Spinks was dislodged. Apprentice A Spinks was uninjured he was cleared to take his ride in race 5.WHITLOCK – Was tightened at the 800 metres when SHOULDA TO SHOULDA shifted in.CHOSEN COURT – Had to be steadied shortly after the start when tightened between runnersRACE 5: WONDAI RSL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1465mSIALIA MAGIC – Blundered on jumping dislodging its rider.
