Taken wider on the track rounding the home turn. When questioned regarding the tactics she adopted, jockey B. Ainsworth noted that the mare had previously settled towards the rear of the field after beginning only fairly. Ms Ainsworth stated that today the mare began better than anticipated and, mindful of its previous racing pattern, she allowed it to settle at the rear of the field. Ms Ainsworth agreed with stewards that after beginning better than anticipated she ought to have pressed forward initially to secure a position outside of ALLENA in the early stages.
