Wiggins was unable to offer any tangible explanation other than that he suggested to connections to experiment with gear changes but felt that the gelding was disappointing. Trainer W. Hulbert agreed with jockey Wiggins’ assessment and advised that it will be the intention to experiment with a gear change for the horse’s next run.
