Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Bumped on a number of occasions between the 400m and the 200m by EXCELEBRAZIONE, which shifted out in an effort to improve. M. Hellyer, the rider of EXCELEBRAZIONE, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped DANCING ON PARADE. Shifted out in an effort to improve and bumped INKBLOT on a number of occasions between the 400m and the 200m. Eased near the 100m when placed in restricted room between RIVER FLYER and INKBLOT, which shifted in under pressure. Apprentice C. Frater-Hill, the rider of INKBLOT, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
