When asked to comment regarding the geldings performance, App. C. Bayliss stated that his intention was to be in a midfield position, however, after only beginning moderately and settling at the rear of the field, the gelding never travelled at any stage and when placed under pressure after passing the 700m, failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing.
