Began awkwardly and shifted in. Tightened between runners when SAILOR GERRI hung in on the home turn. Jockey L. Tilley reported that his mount was inclined to hang throughout and event and over the final 100m wanted to lay in despite his efforts which prevented him from fully testing his mount to the line. Trainer G. Hutchesson advised stewards that after considering the mares performance today, it would be retired from his stable.
