Apprentice Goldsbury advised that the gelding failed to travel strongly at any stage and was disappointing. She added that, in her opinion, the horse was reluctant to stretch out on the firm track today. Trainer M. Kropp agreed that the firm track was the likely cause of the horse’s poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
