When questioned regarding his reason for not obtaining the leading position passing the 800m, A. Allen advised that he was instructed to lead as per the horse’s customary racing pattern, however as a result of his mount laying in, along with the appearance of CHARIOT OF GOLD wishing to maintain the position to his inside, he was unable to cross and lead. The explanation was noted.
