Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide without cover. Had to be steadied away from heels near the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had thumps.

Steward Comment

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Rider questioned about the mare’s disappointing performance. He said he had ridden the horse in work last Tuesday morning and it had worked very well, however he was concerned with her recovery rate after it which he had pointed out to the tnr. He said the tnr said that had been normal for the mare this preparation, however jockey Lloyd was still confident of a forward showing today as the mare races well on rain-affected tracks. He added he had some concerns with the mare’s action today. Stable said the mare may spell. Vetted, slow recovery rate.
