Began awkwardly and shifted in. Overraced and hung in passing the 600m. When questioned, jockey J. Lloyd stated that his mount began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly and seemed to have trouble mustering speed on the heavy track. He added the gelding then travelled in the middle stages however got slightly crowded from DON’T LEAVE ME from the 600m, resulting in the horse laying in away and brushing the rail. Trainer T. Edmonds representative was advised that the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
